I absolutely *love* this tea room. I have missed it so much since I moved to Eastern Oklahoma. Many times, I have stopped by A Spot for Tea to catch up with old friends, and it is always like coming home. The atmosphere is warm, calm, and inviting, and the variety of loose leaf teas is extensive (I have ordered many of them by mail since I have moved. My favorite is For the Love of Charlotte, and all of the roobios teas are wonderful. A close second is The Perfect Cup of Tea, and it is!) I love the quiche, and the warm vanilla muffins are such a nice way to balance the savory dishes. Tammy has been kind enough to share some of their recipes in her recipe book, and I have loved preparing those for my family as well. My aunt, who is a chef, called recently to request the recipe for h... (more)

I was disappointed that teabags are used -- good tea is not brewed with teabags! Maybe I am spoiled from living in England too long, where we had wonderful 'real' brewed tea!

tearoom response
Dear Gwen

I am so sorry that you were misinformed. All of our hot teas that we serve our from our loose leaf tea menu.

Specifically since Ashlie and myself have our Tea Certification Level 1 and 2 from the Specialty Tea Institute we understand the importance of serving loose leaf tea if you are a proper tearoom.

Please visit our website www.aspotfortea.com and click on our Tea List page to see all of our choices for the perfect cup of tea.

Sincerely,
Tammy Seibert

A delightful, calming place to go to relax is A Spot for Tea. The atmosphere is quiet and it is truly a place of comfort from the 'outside'. My favorite tea is 'For the Love of Charlotte', a Rooibos tea that was named after the owner's Mother. The food is great!! I love the artichoke chicken casserole, the sorbet, the Red Velvet Cake and, well too many things to list. All the Staff are excellent at helping you feel pampered and relaxed.

This is my FAVORITE tearoom. The moment you step inside, it's like receiving a warm hug. The atmosphere is homey plus it is beautifully decorated. The owner, manager, and staff are like family; they always greet you with a cheerful smile and warm welcome. The food is lucious and beautifully presented. The variety of tea seems unending (all delicious) and the teapots that are used for Queen's tea are precious with the pretty tea cozy's. It's fun to dress up with the hats and be a kid again! I also enjoy the smaller teapots used for lunch. The servers bring such elegance to the simple task of pouring tea. A Spot for Tea is truly my refuge from the stressful outside world. What a joy and inspiration to go there; makes me tingle inside with happiness every time I think about the wonderful experiences I have enjoyed there. I look forward to many more tasty lunches and delicious cups of tea with my friends at my favorite tearoom.

My first experience with the tearoom was for a baby shower...I am not a tea drinker but really enjoyed the Earl Grey tea...The best chicken pot pie soup was served and so yummie...I loved the raspberry sherbert salad and wanted more of that also...the service and ambiance was terrific...I will definitely return for more....

A Spot for Tea is a place where I meet friends each week before we gather for our Bible study. The wait staff is cordial and caring. The food is excellent, I particularly enjoy the variety of soups they serve along with their hot teas. Tammy and Eric have listened and heard and we praise God for them and their obedience.

A Spot for Tea is such a wonderful place to relax and spend time with friends and enjoy good food and tea.
The Baked Tortellini Alfredo is to die for! Kristen Keyser is the best waitress and the service overall would be hard to beat.

I am so delighted to tell everyone that A Spot For Tea provides a lovely setting and wonderful food for rehearsal dinners and Bridal luncheons. They offer tastings for our Platinum Brides and Grooms for their wedding receptions at Walnut Creek Chapel and Coles Garden. This is a special service to be able to provide for our Brides and Grooms. Thanks to Tammy and Eric Seibert for eleminating extra stress for their dream wedding; it's good to know that we can count on you.

I took my pastor's wife to A Spot for Tea for a quaint afternoon lunch. The comment she made to me was 'peaceful'. It provides an atmosphere of tranquility for the 'busy woman' to slow down and reflect upon those things that are truly important. Not to mention our food was excellent and our server, Charlotte, was top notch! Thank you for a lovely lunch!

My best friend hosted a baby shower for me at A Spot for Tea and it was absolutely perfect. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was perfect for a baby shower (a group of little girls having a birthday tea party came in all dressed up and sang us a song!) and the staff was very friendly.
