There was a group of us that took our 6 six year old daughters for their first tea here and we had a ball!! They loved the tea and the food was excellent, we can not wait to go back!!

What a wonderful place for tea! I have consistantly had superb tea, food, and service here. They have an extensive selection of fine teas (also for sale to take home), which is not something I have found at most English-style tea rooms. This place is a must-visit!

My friend and I returned to Afternoon to Remember for the third time recently, not only for their wonderful tea offerings, but for a fun and informative Tea Basics 101 hands-on class exuberantly given by the owner, Amy! Afterwards, we enjoyed our choice of loose teas served with warm scones, fresh sandwiches, and dainty desserts! We really apprecite the love and efforts Amy and her staff put into making our experience there a real 'afternoon to remember!' The historical building with its polished hardwood floors, tall ceilings and antique hanging lights complete the illusion of being transported back into a more elegant and graceful time! The attached gift shop has a vast array of tea assesories, loose leaf teas, and tea books, several of which are written by the owner! We are so grateful to have such a wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle of the outside world! It is well worth the drive!

The food was excellent, but served poorly. The waitress put the stacker at the end of the table, then left not telling any of the 6 of us what the sandwiches were. It was extremely noisy with a cart on wheels pushed on wooden floors with food being delivered to the other room. Wouldn't return.

A perfect day for me, would be a deep shoulder massage, followed by a pedicure and ending with lunch at Afternoon to Remember, BUT, if I had to choose just one of those things, then hands down, it would be lunch at Afternoon to Remember.
Unlike some establishments, the owner Amy, can be seen taking time from her busy day to talk to the customers and thank them for comming. And Patty, who runs the gift shop, provides excellent customer service, which is so refreshing to see these days. Patty, who works in the gift shop, provides excellent customer service, which is refreshing to see these days.
The meal starts off with YOUR choice of tea....something you don't always get at other tea places. Followed by a seasonal soup, and/or quiche, ending with scones, delicio... (more)us sandwhiches and a variety of desserts.
I have never left Afternoon to Remember hungry, and I love to eat! Something else that I love doing, is
shopping, and Afternoon to Remember
has plenty of unique teapots, teas, books, etc. to choose from, including gift certificates.
Please stop by, you will not be dissapointed, and when you're there, say 'hi' to my favorite waitress, Fran!

Last weekend An Afternoon to Remember was such a refuge for me and my friends. Besides having the largest selection of teas I've found in a tea room, they even have homemade food!! Everything was fabulous from the decor to the service. I highly recommend this tearoom.

My daughter and I LOVE an Afternoon to Remember! Any chance we get to go, we're there...and we live almost an hour away. The owner is always so charming, and her staff is the best! What a wonderful ladies' afternoon retreat, experiences that are forever memories with the women of my family and friends. Can't wait until next time!

This tea room is by far my favorite. It has a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay all day. There are tea varieties to suit every mood and taste, the quality and quantity of food is excellent and the service is delightful. The women of my family enjoy tea at An Afternoon to Remember for every special occasion. Amy, the owner, and her staff always strive to make our visits special.

Wow! Come on people. Do you want to have any tearooms to be around in your future? I wonder if those of you that are so critcal really want to help tearoom businesses to be successful. I see these comments on this website for tearooms and wonder if people go home and say to themselves 'I will just critize in the comfort of my home and blast it on the web'. If you really wanted to help, you would send the owner a note or call her personally with your concerns. I am sure this is a tough business, 24/7, for all tearoom owners. Making comments that have no proof, like 40%, where did you get that figure? I have been coming to this tearoom for years and I know for a fact that the quiche size has not changed. As far as the scones, they are handmade so maybe yours were a little smaller ... (more)but that is not the norm. As far as prices, have you seen the cost of gas, minimum wage has gone up, food prices are up, so are gift items, insurance, rent, workmans compensation, etc. Her meal prices went up a year ago after being the same for 3 years! How many places have you been to lately that have kept their prices the same for a year let alone 3 years. As far as the comment about the tea room owner, that is a low blow! She is truly one of the kindest people I know and if you caught her on a bad or busy day, GIVE HER A BREAK. Most of you would not last a day in this business! Why don't we all support and be understanding of all these tearoom businesses instead of being mean and wondering why they close down one day like some already have????

In my last 2 visits I have been disappointed at how dramatically the serving size of the quiche and scones has become. While the teas remain excellent, food portions for an upscale tea room are 40% of how they were when this tea room first opened. Freshness also seemed compromised from prior visits.

Tisha, I'm so sorry you felt that our portion sizes have changed. We still use the same size pie crust for our quiche as we have the last 4 1/2 years and cut them into 12 pieces as before. Our scones are hand-made and while we do try to make sure they are all the same size there are differences as they are hand-cut. If your size for some reason was different than before, I can assure you that it was not intentional. I do hope you'll try us again. We strive for perfection and everything is home-made and made fresh daily. I can assure you we have not changed our core belief in quality.

I loved the lunch and tea. However, it was extremely loud. And the owner seemed a bit rude. She was rude to me when I was in the gift section and asked a simple question about the prices of the loose leaf tea she had for sale. I realize that she is one of the better teas in the area. Still, that is no reason to be rude to a patron. Her prices are also pretty high, comparably speaking.

Maddie, though we wish everyone would be respectful of others, some of our parties can be loud at times. It's hard to ask people to be quiet when they are having such a good time.
I'm sorry you felt I was rude. It was definitely not my intention. As far as our prices, we have raised our tea prices only 20 cents this year. We no longer carry the 1 ounce size tins as we have gone to custom-made tins and they do not make that size. So we no longer offer the smaller tin for the lower price point. However, you can refill your tins for $2.95 per ounce. Again, I truly apologize if I seemed rude, that was definitely not my intention for sure.

I've been to the tea room over 6 times now and have just made reservations for another seating. I love it. This is the first place I think of when I want to celebrate a special occasion with a friend.
