Wow, almost feel afraid to make a comment!!
We came in on Saturday. Had a wonderful time. Music was nice, not loud. very comfortable. The Tea was very good. I had mine iced. Good job. we did not have a scone. Next time I will. We were not in a hurry, buy maybe think about another person. I know it is hard. We own a business also.

I must say Cheri you must feel good to know people are batteling about your Tea Room when a not so nice comment is posted.Listen everyone Aladdins is a very good Tea Room the best around. Everyone has their own taste and opinions. I lived in England for 42 years. I came to Aladdins for a high tea ive been to several places and none compare.Sir J N Aladdins is known for their scones.In my opinion id rather have a cake like scone then a dry one. I now come once a week and i hear evrybody raving on how good the scones are but everyone has their own opinion on how a scone should be. To the owners please dont change the scones. To Marg you go girl. You continue to battle for this mom and pop place. Its nice to see a classy nice friendly Tea Room in Redlands and i sure dont want to see it go because someone doesnt know what High Tea is all about.

Marg, I don't know who you are and I don't know who TW is, but anyone that can read will tell you that you are the one that are extremely rude! Please take your issues somewhere else. The owner of this board should ban you from future postings. My great grandfather was a knight of England, so please allow me to share my humble opinion as a gentleman.
I too have recently visited Aladdin and I have to say that I am very pleased with the tea selection and I even got to try something new.
I love the toppings on the sandwiches, they were excellent! I too am not too pleased with the scones, they tasted more like 'cakes' than scones.
I enjoyed the hospitality of the server and the attention giving to explain each types of the sandwiches. I would definitely take my girlfriend there again. Thank you Cheri.

Ladies, while I very much appreciate all of your comments, I must ask that we keep this forum limited to your thoughts and opinions of your own experience at Aladdin's Tea Room.
Thank you TW for expressing your honest opinion. Margrete, I must admit that in this case TW may in fact be stating a truth about the scone she was served. While they are normally quite moist and delicious, I have recently acquired new equipment, which I am still not comfortable with. I may have over-heated her scone resulting in dry, hard dough. I apologize TW that your experience was not satisfactory. I hope to have another opportunity to serve you the best scone you will ever experience.
Margrete, your loyalty and fondness for Aladdin's Tea Room is overwhelming and so much appreciated. It is unfortunate I am only able to be at my Tea Room once or twice a week and miss out on such wonderful customers. This place is wonderfulB. I am from England and we were here on a vacation and was excited to find such a wonderful Tea Room. The food was wonderful, the scones out of this world.Better then any ive had in England.Whoever posted that ridiculous comment about the scones being dry and the bread not good must be crazy. In Enland the scones are dry almost like a biscuit. Here they were so moist (the way I like them). I have been to at least 25 Tea rooms and this place is by far the best ive ever been to. To the owners dont listen to tw she obviously doesnt know what a proper high is all about. Just know you cant please everyone. I truely dont belive cutomers are always right so if yu have a way to respond to her my suggestion DONT BE NICE! Everybody must come to Aladdins Tea Room if they want to experience a perfect high tea as well wonderful service.

I beg to differ, I think this is a wonderful place. We have our monthly meetings here and I have been to this and other Tea rooms for lunch and Tea. Aladdin's does a very good job on the Afternoon Tea and all other aspects, service has always been very good. Maybe certain people are not high tea quality!

I was disappointed in the scones; they were stale and too dry. However, the sandwiches were dilicious although I think the bread/toast could be improved more. Tea quality was good, but I would prefer to see matching tea sets and utensils. Overall I think this place is great for sandwich and tea but not so much a high tea place.

This morning I came in with my dad for a Father's Day Tea. It wes so good and done so well, he's decided Tea isn't just for the female gender. We both wen't away feel well fed and we both have a new favorite tea. I recommend the Ginger Peach if you're looking for something different. It was goooood! We will do this again, and with any luck I can talk my brothers into coming with us.

Thank you for the special tea you provided us for our friends birthday. She was talking about it all week. We plan to come again for the next celebration (and I plan to return with my husband so I can talk him into buying me a Tea Set). The sandwiches were so tasty and the desserts were out of this world. Thank you for the most wonderful Mother's Day Tea. I have been to a lot of Tea Houses and have found this one to be Top Notch! They provided a well thought out menu and sent us all home with a darling little tea pot. Mine is lime geen, my favorite color! How did they know? I am from England and therefore I am familiar with tearooms. This is one of the few tearooms I have been to in California but I was extremely impressed. The service is extremely personable and you feel like you are visiting with friends. The atmosphere is very relaxed and soothing if you want a moment of peace in the middle or the end of a busy week. I am a mum of 4 and this was just something I needed today. There was an unexpected large party before we came and therefore we did have to wait a while but I didn't mind at all as I could see the staff were doing their best to accomodate us and when the food came it was well worth the wait. I really appreciated the fact that the owner took the time to put together a vegan menu for some of the members of our party and what she came up with was phenomenal. So if you are vegan then ask for the special menu ahead of time and you will be impressed. Thank you for a wonderful time ....I now feel ready to face the week!

I come here at least once a month and try to bring a friend, or come alone if I can't get a lunch partner. I just want everyone to know how much I enjoy this place. It's always clean and always has something new to try. They have some tea sets for sale (I claim the pink one in that big wall case) that are hand painted (don't know by who) and gorgious. One day I'll get my hubby to buy mine so I can take it home instead of visiting it every month. If you're looking for a nice place with nice people, go to this tea room. Just don't buy my tea set!

The food and service were very good, there was so much food we even had to take some home. The chicken salad was really good and I am usually skeptical about tuna but this one was really good as well. I had the Peach Blossom White tea which was very nice. I really enjoyed my time here.

We had the 'Sweetheart's Tea' on Valentine's Day, and had a great experience. The tea served, a lightly-sweetened loose rooibos tea, was delicious. My boyfriend generally doesn't like red tea, but he liked this. It was served with scones, open-faced sandwiches, and a dessert plate. The food was top-notch, with unusual but comforting flavour combinations like ginger carrot raisin, and turkey with mango chutney and cheddar cheese. They reminded me of English sandwich types like coronation chicken and cheese and pickle! The tea room itself was decorated mainly 'country' style - very comfortable and homey. I think when we go back again we will choose the booth, since some of the tables and chairs are a little on the small side. The menu has really enticing food options, so I will definitely be... (more) coming back to try what I missed this time! Not sure about the variety of teas, since we had a prix fixe menu.
The one aspect I didn't like was that we were offered hot water to double-brew our tea leaves, rather than a fresh pot. Double brewing is a bit of a cardinal sin with me, so when we go again I'll make sure to ask for a fresh pot!

Fourteen of the 'Razzle Dazzle Red Hats of Rialto 92376' had tea on Sunday. It was a wonderful experience and we all agree that we will all go back. The service was great and not hurried. The food was really good. It is a cute place and comfortable. They have beautiful tea sets for sale if you are interested in buying or just to look at. Thank you for your kind attention to us.

I'm from Texas and having cancer treatment at Loma Linda Hospial. A nurse told me about this tea room and thought I might enjoy a great cuppa tea in a relaxing enviroment. I'm happy to tell everyone what I think about this tea room. It's terrific! I tour tea rooms all over the place, including internationally, and this one is at the top of my list. They serve their Tea Sampler in three courses, unlike some tea rooms that put it all out at once. I just like the way they treated us and the way they presented our meal. I will return!

While I was there to buy some loose tea for Christmas, I saw the High Tea they serve. It was pretty! I really wanted to evaluate the service I received from the owner (sorry, forgot your name). She was helpful and knowledgable about each tea, and was able to offer an explanation to all of my questions with a cheerful and upbeat attitude. I have been to other tea rooms to buy teas before, but she was really easy to deal with. I will not go anywhere else. Thanks!

I went and had a high tea the other day and it was fantastic i have no complaints the sandwich platter was great they were the right size not to big not to little you get 7 different ones plus scones that were great as well as desserts and a pot of tea to much food i had to take half home whoever complained about the sandwich size is crazy everyone must come.Everything was fresh they bake everything there. Nice people, freindly and fast service. They make you feel at home.Good job guys.

All Tea Rooms are Mom & Pop places.
These people work hard and put a great deal of time and money into a creation, for us to enjoy. I have been to this Tea room several times and have tried different items. I have enjoyed them all. Do not criticize any of the Tea rooms in a negative manner. I want this Tea room to stay in business. Redlands needs this, I want this couple to want to stay, do not push them out. Keep your head high, your doing a good service.

I have visited Tea Rooms all over the world. This has become my favorite. It is a great place to go for excellent tea, great food and terrific service. The atmosphere is cozy and the owner takes the time to suggest teas with different foods. I am a vegetarian and they are very happy to substitute the menu for me.

I have been waiting for something like this in my neighborhood for a long time. The food was really good and the tea kept coming. I would suggest a reservation if you plan to go during peak lunch hours though, this mom and pop tea house was really hopping. I had a great time.

At first I was excited to find a new tearoom..but when I went in, the services was extremely slow, the scone tasted old and food was presentable but not fresh, the quiche was bad. The sweets were better. I was disappointed. Sorry.

Wow! This tea room is fabulous! The food was amazing (and not over-priced), and the service and ambiance were superb. An awesome selection of teas and unique foods. The attention to detail was perfect- everything was as beautiful to look at as it was to eat. We will be going again(and again and again) very soon! My four year old daughter fell in love too. I brought my mother for tea and we both fell in love with the place. I have been back twice and it's still as charming and warm as the first time.
