Anna Marie's Teas

My friends and I rarely miss one of Anna Marie's monthly teas. In addition to great food, tea and service, I love the setting. The 100 year old home is the perfect place to sip tea, eat goodies and enjoy the conversation of friends, new and old.

My friends and I have come to love attending tea parties at Anna Tea Shop! The home setting where parties are held is lovely; the table service is classy; and the staff are so pleasant and nice. I must compliment them on the improved food quality we have noted in the past year. These ladies have done their homework when it comes to tea party service! During the holidays, Brenda opens her beautifully decorated home to tours for party attendees. The themes they come up with for tea parties are so clever and enjoyable, and often include educational features. And, of course, there is the tea shop which sells a wide variety of loose teas and tea accoutrements. I'm so glad I discovered Anna Tea Shop! It is truly a delightful place to savor some moments for self-renewal while visiting with friends and enjoying tea!

A group of my good friends and I have attended Tea's at Anna Marie's practically monthly for a year or so. The parties are great fun to attend. The food is delicious and abundant. Our group drinks Tea as an addiction and they always keep our cups full and our taste buds tantalized. The staff is delightful and is always looking for new ways to have their patrons participate in the events. It is always great fun. See you there!!

A lovely gem of a tearoom just north of Kansas City. Each themed party is well thought out, with attention to detail in presentation, variety of food, and homey atmosphere. My friends and I have been to several teas and each is enjoyable. I love that Brenda shares her recipes and I can also buy the scone mix (Shhh... my secret!).

Only were offered two teas, but enjoyed both of them. However, the atmosphere, presentation, food, and staff were outstanding. We plan to go back in December.

Three of us attended the January 12th Night Tea. We had looked forward to it for months as it was the first time in several years that we three friends had been together. Imagine our dismay when without any warning or acknowledgement at all, we were taken to a table and seated with a complete stranger! The evening was a waste of time and money as what we had looked forward to as an evening with old friends was instead a constrained, awkward experience. When I politely complained by e-mail afterward, I was told that if we had wanted to sit at a private table we would need to pay for all the seats at that table! That policy is not listed on any website or mentioned at the time you purchase your tickets. The environment, tea or food cannot make up for that attitude. We are warning our tea-loving friends and we will not be going back.

I attended the 'This Old House' tea and tour in August. I enjoy each and every experience at Anna Marie's Teas, but this one was especially delightful. Ms. Hester's presentation about the history of Brenda's spectacular house was very intriguing. If only I could spend every Saturday morning being pampered with tea and savories. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Ten members of my family recently celebrated our mother's 90th birthday at Anna Marie's Tea house. She has always loved the tea parties described in Charles Dickens novels and was overjoyed to have her own party. The house and atmosphere seemed to transport us into the world of Dickens. We all enjoyed the party, but mostly, I was overwhelmed with the kindness and generosity of Brenda and her family in making sure that my mother's birthday was a special one she will never forget. The strawberry and cream black tea was delicious and the food was amazing! The house was filled with beautiful decorations and handicrafts and we all felt at home. Thank you to Anna Marie's Teas for a wonderful experience.
