We are located in historic Coupeville on beautiful Whidbey Island. The Tea
Room is named after Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, who is credited
with starting the tradition of afternoon tea around 1841. To break up the interval between lunch and supper, Anna began having tea and a plate of sandwiches and cakes served to her in her boudoir. Eventually, she invited friends to join her in this light repast and soon the custom expanded through society. We invite you to join us in a drawing room atmosphere to relax and raise a cup of tea... to Life... to Friends... to Anna. In addition to a wide range of afternoon tea choices, we also serve lunch including homemade soups, salads, and desserts.
