Overview
We served 52 women at our first Annual Friendship Tea held in May 2008. And 60 at our 2nd annual tea held May 2009. Many chose to wear lovely hats as this was the theme. It was so lovely to look out into a setting of lovely dresses, hats, and table settings. Guests in 2009 were able to purchase a little cook book which included 2008 and 2009 recipes of the food served at our teas. You may still purchase one by contacting Emily. We recieved a collection of 17 lovely hats to auction to our guests. Thank you to Sandra Peterman for sharing these hats and even the ladies who didn't bid, enjoyed trying some of your hats on themselves. Thanks also goes out to Bea Stephenson our guest speaker, we learned tea etiquette and style of hat to wear for our face shape. We also thank Jason Ruth and his assistant Leslie Queen, they donated their equipment as well as time to take lovely professional photos or our guests. We held the two teas at Clarkston United Methodist Church, 6600 Waldon Rd. Clarkston, Michigan. Consider this annual event with your friends or Red Hat group as well. Ideas for 2010 are Apron History. Who knew there was such a thing! We will comfirm this when we start our plans in 2010.
