Variety: Antiquites was my first visit to a tea room several years ago and they had left a lovely impression. It is with a sense of trepidation that I write this review. Although I had nothing but praise for them in the past, my recent visit fell short on several fronts. The service is wonderful, the location and shops within charming but the tea and food were not up to par this visit. On my last bite of quiche, I noticed that the shrimp had not been cleaned. Too late to really do anything about it so I kept mum. My mother was pouring her tea and thinking she was at the end, checked inside to see how much tea was left. What a sight greeted her...a filthy, extremely stained pot. I checked my pot and my daughter's - same horrible sight. What a way to ruin a good cuppa! Ladies, there is no excuse... (more) |

Variety: Antiquiteas Tea Room in NH is a must of anyone who can appreciate a tea room for what it really is. I have known Brenda for many years and I know that she puts her heart and soul into everything that she does. Her home made soups are some of the best around. I am partial to the Pumpkin Bisque and I love to top it off with her warm gingerbread. Being in the food industry myself, I know the long hours that are put into maintaining an establishment such as this one. I would challenge anyone who has given Antiquiteas a less then nice review to open a tea room and let us be the critics. |

Variety: The tearoom is charming, the waitstaff very friendly and the food delicious. However, I came with my 13 year old grand-daughter who is autistic and gets upset when there are noisy babies. I promised her the website said NO BABIES or toddlers - but wouldn't you know it - a woman came in with her small child, who was noisy and ruined our lunch. The manager apologized and gave us a gift certificate to come another time. She seemed to be powerless as to discouraging mommies with small fry (who don't really seem to enjoy a tea room anyway). |

Variety: When I visit Southern New Hampshire, I always make it a point to visit this tea room.I have been to many as I love to go to them. I find that each is unique. Antiquiteas has a wonderful Victorian flair. Elegantly dressed tables in Pink with white doilies. Fine china tea cups. The atmosphere is very soothing. The food is great and I love the house tea. It is fun to visit the many little shops housed in the same building. |

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely tribute. Be sure to come in and sample some of our new teas including a black tea flavored with lavender and Lady Londonderry a black tea flavored with dried flowers & citrus fruits. We host several tea tastings throughout the year as well. Please check the website often. |

Variety: I visited the tea room with my sister about a month ago for the first time. Upon entering the tea room we saw that it was very nicely displayed but was dismayed when we were seated in another room by ourselves and not in the main tea room. The only tea we were offered was the house tea and were not given the chance to check out any other flavors. We did notice that the pouring spout on our teapot was broken. I would never serve tea to anyone with a teapot in that poor of shape. We also felt that the server was just a high school student working there. We were expecting someone more knowledgeable who had worked in a tea room environment. We both felt the food was delicious and the little shops were great to walk in and admire all the little treasures they held. We would go back because of the food and the tea room environment. |

Tearoom Response
I am delighted that you and your sister had a good time at the tea room and shoppes. I'm sorry that you were only offered the house tea. I do ask the waitstaff to suggest the house tea as we blend it right in our kitchen and it is a favorite. I regret that you didn't ask about our other teas. We have a fine variety of all teas - black, green, white, red and tisanes. Perhaps on your next visit you will explore all that we have to offer. Thank you again and hope to see you and your sister again soon.

Variety: I visited the tearoom with my sister a few weeks ago for the first time and fell in love with the charming atmosphere. However there were a few things we were not expecting. We thought we would be offered many types of teas but were only offered the 'house' tea. We also thought it was very odd that all staff members were dressed in black clothing. We were expecting prettier, colorful and perhaps dainty dresses. We were also surprised when there was a very young woman serving us and she seemed to have no knowledge of teas, customer service or training at all. What a pity, not her fault and can easily be corrected. The soup, sandwiches and desserts were out of this world and our overall experience was wonderful. We also loved the little shops and antiques. We would go back again for sure. |

Tearoom Response
ut oh - that is twice now prompting me to review how the waitstaff is approaching the tables when offering tea. The ladies are instructed to ask if you would like to order a pot of tea to share. They then describe the house tea and ask if perhaps you have a favorite. There is a tea list available upon request. All but this one young lady who just joined our staff is familiar with ALL our teas. Our apologies, Mirielle is a quick study and is now as knowledgeable and passionate about teas as the rest of us. |

Variety: I first went to Antiquiteas in 06 for my birthday and we had a really nice time. My Mom and I visit on Sundays when we feel like a relaxing break from reality. I have never thought to try the many many kinds of tea they have, b/c I am in love with the house tea. The food is very good and the shops are so quaint. I love it!! |

Dear Katie - you are what AntiquiTeas is all about. Thank you so much and do not wait for another birthday to come by again. A Tea of the Month Club is being organized and will be launched soon. New teas are available each season. Our House Tea is the favorite, however we are delighted with many new blends available now and coming soon.

Variety: My sister and I recently visited this teashop and just loved our pumpkin bisque and sandwiches. We were only offered the house tea which we quite enjoyed. It would have been nice to know what other varieties were available. However, when told it was a bottomless pot if we got the house tea, how could we not try it? Browsing the shops in the building afterward was an added bonus. Will definitely visit again if I'm back in the area. |
