This was the worst tea room I have ever been to!!! The service was horrible!! Most teas I have been to offer you more than 1 pot of tea, the soup was in a child size bowl. They even took my mothers soup before she finished it. The 1 and only scone was dry. My niece came along and we were told we had to pay an extra $3 for a child size soup for her too! We asked before we went if they could please give her a different kind of soup. They said they would open a can of Campells Chicken noodle and it would still be $3. The sandwiches and salad were awful. You don't even get a real type of desert, Half inch size piece of cake. We left there VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE!! They even wrote in marker on the walls trying to make cute sayings, but it looked cheap and over the door it looked like someone couldn't write very well. I will never go back and will let people know that for the outragous price, lack of service and awful food this place should be avoided!!!

Went to this Tea Room with my friends. The tea selection is great. The food looked and tasted like it was just thrown together. It seemed like no extra special thought or effort went into the preparation of the tea sandwiches or desserts. The crust was left on one of the tea sandwiches. They couldn't even take the time to cut off the crust? The desserts were very disappointing. Tasted like they were just boxed desserts with only flavored extracts added to them. I waited over 20 min. to get my second pot of tea, one member in the party had to switch tea cups because her first one was tea stained and cracked. This tea room doesn't have the special feel one expects from a tea room. I felt like it was just thrown together and put on a plate. The scones we had tasted like they were still doughy. I may try this one again just in case it was a bad day, but for the price, it wasn't worth it.

Horrible. The restaurant was empty and they sat us by the broken toilet. No AC. When I asked about 'all the trimmings' I was told 'he only has two hands. 'The 'scone' was a fat sugar cookie.
Waited 10 minutes to get milk for my tea and over 20 minutes to get the bill even though there were less than 10 people in the restaurant. They had the nerve to add a 20% tip to bring us 2 things!!We said it doesn't say 20% tip for 3 people on the menu, the waitress said 'it's on the website.' Horrible service, bad attitude.

I had a truly delightful time at the Apple Blossom Tea Room while my boyfriend was exploring the Gettysburg National Military Park. The Tea Room is fresh and charming. The handwritten quotes decorating the walls as well as the personal collections made it special. I especially enjoyed the house tea, Apple Blossom, and the cold cucumber soup with nutmeg was refreshing. Thank you Brandi for a tea-riffic experience!

Our Red Hat group enjoyed tea at the Apple Blossom Tea Room today! The service was gracious and accommodating. The food selections were delicious and varied. The first tea served was not hot, however that was remedied with the second pots. We were given two teas, a black tea (Hot Toddy) and an herbal (Plum...). One assumes these were loose leaf since that is what they sell. The Roasted Pepper and Potato Soup was OUTSTANDING. The atmosphere was Eclectic Victorian. A fun time was had by all!.

My best friend and I came here to celebrate my birthday. (We had been to this tearoom several times in the past under the prior owner.) We were the only ones in the shop, so there was no excuse for the lack of service. Our tea was lukewarm, at best, and she managed to give me my friend's tea not once, but twice. Attention to detail was clearly not a strong point. I have been to many teashops and can say that this was the worst experience I have ever had.

The thing that sets this tearoom apart is its accessability. I found myself unexpectedly off at noon one weekday and wanted to invite my sister to tea. Unfortunately, all the other tearooms had only one seating and required reservations - but not this one. An added surprise was the willingness of the owner to let us substitute additional sandwiches for the sweets as we are both trying to be more health conscious. And the tea was wonderful - brewed to perfection. We will be returning again and again.

I'm never disappointed in Apple Blossom!! Since this tearoom opened late last year I have been to tea several times and have been quite pleased each time. The decor is pretty and girly. I know the menu changes month to month so it is like getting a surprise present each time I go. The scones are the best I've ever had. Presentation is lovely. The loose tea selection is large and varied. Each time I try to get something different and have never been disappointed by the offerings. My personal favorite is Blood Orange. I'm pleased that the gift shop is being added to regularly with pretty and unique tea items and books. I used to go to Civil-a-Tea but the dining area was always so crowded I felt that I was forced to get to know the people at the nearby tables since they were so... (more) close by. I'm happy that Apple Blossom has expanded the dining area. The staff is always smiling and cheerful and clearly enjoy interacting with customers. I'm sure there are other tearooms in the area but the quality of this one is very special. Brandy is always accomodating with some special food issues I have and will do whatever it takes to work with me. I look forward to my next visit which will be next month at a TeaTime Bingo night. Sounds like lots of fun. I'm sure this tearoom still has some kinks to work out but I hope they will continue 'Blossoming'. I have read the other reviews and though some of them might be warranted I think they are few and far between and let's face facts ladies there are some people that can't be please no matter what. Give this one a try and I don't think you will be disappointed. Continue on this road Brandy and I think you will be around for many years to come. I sure hope so!!!!!

My firends and I have been to several tea rooms and had been to this tea house when it was Civil-a-tea. The scones were really excellent. I can say I concur with the other reviews that said the service was lacking. The fruited water was warm. We had gone during the week because it is more crowded on the weekends. The soup was gazpacho (sp?) and tasted like watery salsa. There was a lime vinagrette which unfortunately smelled too close to cleaner wipes ( I really don't care for lime though). The desserts were also very good. The sandwiches were average, crusts on the store bought potato bread just a little disappointing. I could tell the owner and the other young lady were the only two running everything and it was very hurried. Knowing what this tea room looked like before it was... (more) nice to some change but the gift shop was cluttered looking and writing on the wall in the other room could be done with a little more finesse instead of what appears to be a black magic marker. I've seen the affect done well and it does really look good. I don't know if we'll return..maybe in a few months after the wrinkles get smoothed and she gets more people hired.

I just wanted to share with tea map readers how wonderful Apple Blossom Tea House is. So many tea rooms get so caught up on their being prim and propper that they loose sight of their customers. Not here! I called Brandi and asked her what quiche she was serving and it was not the Quiche that we love (Apple Cheddar) she said not a problem she would make it but it didn't end there. We wanted several slices of quiche and the soup plus a scone. She went on to explain our options and we decided that we just wanted a whole quiche to eat between the four of us. She just giggled and said sure. Thats just what we did her wonderful staff brought out the whole quiche and we dug in and finished the whole pie. Did I mention that my Grandaughter who is six months old was with us. Not a problem. The sc... (more)ones were cranberry oatmeal scrumptious! I was never a fan of 'Stones' until I found Apple Blossom. I thought they would be great for Christmas Brunch. Knowing it was the Holidays and Brandi has two children I was half expecting her to say she could not do it but that was not the case. She is meeting me Christmas eve morning with 32 fresh Baked scones complete with Clotted Cream to help my family celebrate Christmas. Lovley!

I made reservations a week ahead of time as part of a 'girls-only getaway' in Gettysburg. Upon arrival, we were told that they only had space for 2 of us (looking around there were only 2 other people there). Somehow they were able to accomodate us, begrudgingly. Our visit went downhill from there: 1) There were no menus. We were just told to order. 2) There were only 2 employees. I assume they were very overworked as they had to run the gift shop as well as prepare and serve the food which was evidenced by all the clanging and complaining coming from the kitchen. The older of the 2 kept complaining to us about how busy they were (again, only 2 other people were in the tea room). The younger girl was very kind and sugar sweet but running around cleaning the whole time. It was a ver... (more)y hurried and stressful environment where we felt as though we were unwelcome guests and they just wanted to get us out of there as quickly as possible. I have had kinder servers at fast food establishments. The ONLY redeeming qualities were the food and the decor. If you can get past the cold tea and feeling like your presence is a burden on the employees then this is the place to be. The food (we all got the full tea) was excellent but we will not be back unless they offere carry-out (but then what's the point?).
