I find it had believe the horrible reviews being given here about The Applesauce Teahouse!I will say it's not for the 'fancier' of you out there. It's a local business, run by locals! There is defiantly a sense of community for those of us who choose to visit on a regular basis. The teahouse is very important in the writing community here in Flagstaff. I enjoy the company of those who own and work there, I enjoy the food, and I enjoy the tea

Being Russian, I expected to find at least some sort of Russian teas. Unfortunately, there are none. Russians are big on tea and since they claim teas from around the world, I would have expected that. Even so, the selection aside from that is quite good having teas ranging from black to white. Indeed, the place does look a little run down, but the employees seem to remember a familiar face and the lack of decor gives it a somewhat unique appearance. I believe the teahouse to be a place truely created for the locals who appreciate a good tea and don't dwell on the lack of paintings on the walls.

As mentioned before on this site, there is a decent choice of tea. Yet that is all that can be said regarding this tea house, if that is what you call it. The service is terrible, the space is unpleasant to be in. It is very run down, unclean, and has a musky odor. I'm not sure if they serve food, but if they do I would not try it do to presentation of the tea room. I also noticed that they rent Hookas to smoke tobacco out of, and are to be smoked in a back patio that I would call a junkyard(broken down car included). Not really the atmosphere to enjoy good tea.

My friends and I find it hard to believe that some think the Applesauce Tea House is know for good service. Most everyone who I have spoken to about the tea house said the tea was delicious but they wouldn’t return because of the attitude of the employees. The condition of the tea house is also a joke, most things in their seem to be purchased at the local good will, you know old couches and coffee tables. The food they serve is things we could all make in our home like pb&j or tuna sandwiches or granola with milk, everything besides the tea seems to bought from Sam’s Club but is associated with a high price tag. I truly cant believe their still in business.
