The August Tea Room welcomes guests into a Victorian English setting with beautifully set tables and a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Guests are invited to choose a hat to wear while having tea and encouraged to relax and enjoy their time away from the worries of contemporary life.Complementary pictures for our customers are available.

We have over 100 different teas to choose from from around the world. Each week we select 5 different teas for our customers to view the leaves, smell, and to learn the origin of the each tea.
August Tea Room is located inside previously Country Charm Store and now
a new gift store 'jillian's fine gifts, featuring a distictive gifts, gourmet food,jewelry, teaware, teas, & home decor.

Food: Our tea group, Sisters of The Leaf, had tea at the August Tea Room in August and it was one of the BEST times we've ever had! And well worth the drive from Sacramento. We often travel all over No. CA in search of the Perfect Tea Experience and if Lety and Anita aren't perfect they certainly come Nearest! The atmosphere manages to strike that perfect balance between warm and welcoming and elegant and refined. Upon entering the gift shop had enough quality and variety that everyone in our group left with something, including our 5-year old Tea Princess, whose usually bored with this part of the day. Food: The August Tea Room is a real treasure in Livermore! I have been to afternoon tea at several Ritz Carlton's around the world as well as the Empress Hotel in Victoria BC and plenty of other quaint tea rooms in England and America. I can honestly say, the August Tea Room is the absolute best! The attention to detail, the delicious food and quality of service are fantastic. As my friend said, you feel like you are an invited guest to her home! Well behaved children will enjoy it just as much as Lety takes special care to prepare a children's tea menu. The tea room itself is warm and inviting; full of interesting things....tea accessories mixed in with antiques and Victorian charm. The table settings are wonderful. The tea selection is amazing. I don't think I will want to go anywhere else! |

Food: My cousin and I loved the china and all the accessories, especially the gold spoon to stir our tea cups with. The strawberry tea was delightful. The lemon curd on the scones was a favorite of mine. Where can I purchase some? We were very happy to see the selection of hats to wear. The following day we went hat shopping. All in all we had a delicious and very relaxing time as we were pampered like Queens. |

Food: I Became a fan of tea rooms whle visiting England and have been searching for one of the same quality and welcoming feeling since then. The August Tea Room has come the closest. They have an exrensive variety of teas and from this select 5 each day which the staff introduces to the customers, explaining their composition and letting the customer take a sniff of the tea leaves. Speaking of the Wait staff. They are all very friendly, and more important, they all know their teas. The food out of the kitchen is prepared fresh and served professionaly. The ambience is comfortable and old world elegant with a gift shop leading into the tea room proper. This one is a keeper. |

The Lady Lety tea has a large variety of tea sandwich samplings, desserts, and the soup is always amazing! I have never been able to eat all of the tea sandwiches. Food: I shared my experience at the August Tea House with my mother on 5/6. We loved it from the moment we set foot in the door. The gift shop was full of wonderful treasures. The tea room was beautifully decorated in a victorian motif. Lety & her staff treated us as if we were guest in their home. We enjoyed the Lady Lety which is a 5 course meal. Everything was fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. We were so full we ended up taking most of our desserts home. (we didn't even have dinner that night just our leftover dessert :>). Lety & her staff, however, are warm and knowledgeable and can always assist one in making the correct choice. The food is always the perfect variety. Beyond just the tea and food, the charming and cozy atmosphere, interesting variety of gift items to browse through, and the friendly and accommodating staff complete the tea experience. Food: We came to August Tea Room today to celebrate Administrative Professionals Day, very relaxing, The tea I chose today was called 'On the Waterfront' was great, hot and tasty(Slightly minty and very refreshing). The sandwiches(Cucumber, Tuna, Chicken Salad, Sundried Tomato, and Egg Salad) were wonderfully tasty and quite satisfying. The scones(light and fluffy) along with the lemon curd, bluberry jam, and cream.. was just perfect, and the desserts(Pecan cups and Ganache) were lovely and delicious. Food: We had our friend Ruby's birthday tea at the August Tea Room on Sunday, Apr 5. Everythings was wonderful. The tea room is very open, bright, and filled with beautiful decors. All the flowers were fresh and gorgeously laid out. Our table was so fancy and the tea pot cozies were so cute! We had Lady Lety's High Tea and everything was delicious. We started with desserts first of course and everything was marvelous. The scones were so flaky and delicate. Lety even accommodated my vegetarian friend although I forgot to reserve that in advance. Lety and her staff were so nice and attentive and made it a very special event for us. The birthday girl even got a birthday cupcake that was way too pretty to eat. Food: Lety and her staff put so much personal care into the food, tea selection, and care of the guests, you feel very special spending time here. They make almost everything themselves, including the freshly made chicken broth I had with tiny cheese raviolis and a hint of ginger. The five-course Lety's High Tea allowed us to sample almost everything they have, and all of it was delicious. (The macaroons and the shortbread are fantastic!) You can also purchase their goodies to take home. I had the Ontario Icewine White tea, which had a distinct but not overpowering icewine flavor to it, and my mother had what she calls her usual, Triple Berry. Now I see why she raves about this place! |

Food: Four friends and I met for tea and all selected the Royal Tea. We enjoyed the Creme au Caramel, White Chocolate Caramel, Mint, and Raspberry teas, which taste as good as they sound! We also loved the delectable savories and scones that were fresh and warm, and perfectly complemented by tasty preserves. We loved the traditional Victorian setting, and were particularly delighted with the attentive service we received by Nikki and Sache. They share samples of the teas of the week where you can smell and view them from which to make your choice to try something new. Unfortunately my mother became ill.August tea room was so very gracious and welcomed us when I confirmed our reservation and that only my granddaughter and I would be attending. The entire tea was so wonderfully tasty. Our menu included strawberries with champagne(sparkling cider for my granddaughter)fresh cream of asparagus soup,several varieties of very delectable dainty tea sandwiches, and delightful sweets.Our teapots were never empty. The waitress, however pretty much ignored our table. She even left an empty dish from someone's table on my table. The salad was delightfully fresh, not easy for January. I had an apricot scone that was flavorful & moist. My sandwiches were each exceptional. The tea pot never went empty and the lemon tart & truffle for dessert were also most delicious. I love the new decore and enhansed shopping opportunities. 'I'll be back'...real soon! :+) A+++++ |

We could not have asked for a more fabulous experience,from the delicious and beautifully prepared food to the ambiance of the quaint tea room to the attentive service by Lety and the staff. The August Tea Room is A MUST for anyone who enjoys sipping a wonderful variety of teas, nibbling on delectable tea cakes, scones, sandwiches, and desserts and being pampered by Lety and the ladies. Letty and the Ladies at there have unbelieveable generousity, hospitality, and the ambiance and overall Tea treasures are surpassed by none. I have been to many, many Tea Rooms, and none have even come close to this Tea Room. You will be in awe over everything from the moment you step in the door, til you reluctanly have to say goodbye. Food: We celbrated my daughters 8th birthday at August Tea Room. They could not have made her feel more special if they had tried. She had such a fabulous time and felt like a princess from the moment she walked in the door (I'm sure the tiara they gave her helped!!!). We would recommend this place to anyone and in fact have already done so. |

She seemed truly glad we were there and happy to assist us in any way. The food was great & tea always hot. I would highly recommend August Tearoom, you won't be dissappointed. Food is homemade and well presented, with a nice variety of sandwiches, scones, and finger desserts. Soup is always freshly prepared daily and very good!!! You must try it!! Food: August Tea Room is the most delightful setting for Afternoon Tea. The food is all wonderful creations of the owner Lety. Everything is fresh and made on site. No Gourmet Express or Costco for this tea room. The food is served on a three tier tray with care and elegance. I would challenge anyone to finish the plentiful selection. Even my husband could not eat everything. Thank goodness you can take home what you can't finish to enjoy later.The tea list is quite extensive and impressive.Something for everyone.The service is top notch, from the warm towels to the willingness to please the picky eater. I can't say enough about this wonderful find. Can't wait to have my Christmas tea here. |
