Variety: I love The Baron York Cafe! The food and beverages are delicious and the ambience delightful. Dea Irby, puts her heart and soul into her cafe and deeply cares about her customers. Plus, Dea is a engaging person with a great deal of depth. I highly recommend the Baron York as a delightful escape. |

Variety: A small group of us came up from Atlanta for the day on the recommendation of a friend. We thoroughly enjoyed the selection of teas offered (Monk's Blend seemed the favorite of the day) and the food was absolutely delicious! Dea is a lovely hostess and made sure we were comfortable, happy and very well taken care of. I would unhesitatingly recommend the Baron of York Cafe to anyone and am looking forward to my next visit there! |

Variety: Passing through Clarkesville, we rememebered that someone had mentioned enjoying a tea room there. When we asked after and found The Baron York, we were delighted by our find. All the smoke but without some of the usual harsh corners on my lapsang souchang, and my wife's Egyptian chamomile was delicate and fragrant. The food was the bigger surprise. The soup sounded unusual--lima bean with cilantro--but we were delighted by the unexpected way the herb complemented the bean. My wife vows her Greek egg salad was the best egg salad she's ever had (the olives were a nice surprise), and the Southern chicken salad I had was easily among the best I've had. As for Dea herself, she's been running this tea room for six years, and as I told my wife, I don't think I've ever met anyone in my life who is more clearly overjoyed by what she is doing. She is obviously doing what she loves, and that enthusiasm makes the whole experience all the lovelier. We'll definitely return. |

Variety: We've eaten at the Baron York several times now, and taken my English mother-in-law, who loved it! The food is scrumptious, the special-blend Baron York tea is addictive, and the bread is satisfyingly sweet. I absolutely love her egg salad sandwiches; my children often request Dea's peanut butterfly sandwiches, and even my husband enjoys some of the 'man' food that Dea added to her menu especially because of her experience raising robust boys. Dea really makes the visit special, with her bubbly personality and attentive service. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel you've made a new friend, whether you're local to the area or traveling from the far corners of the earth. After just one visit, Dea is no longer a new friend, but an old friend. She makes the effort to get to know her customers. Dea brings a flair of personality and energetic attentiveness that makes The Baron York--and the entire Clarkesville Square--a unique and satisfying experience. |

Variety: I visited twice. 1st time I ordered a quiche-it eas served in individual corningware sm.bowl.It had a pastery thar was like carboard & the quiche was dry. A piece of 'homemadembread was sereved on a plate and it was not a 'neat' slice it was not good. Dessert was excellent. The next time I had potato soup which was ok but it was loaded the dill seasoning on top. I was diappointed. The owner was/is lovely & her young daughter was adorable. |

Variety: This was my first visit. The entry was warm and inviting. The food was so abundant we had to have a to-go box! Each scone was delicous and different. The sandwiches were exceptional. The chicken salad on phylo crust was amazing. The greek egg salad served in the shape of a teapot was another first! I can't wait to go again! We decided to change our initial idea of an annual tradition to more often than that! |

Variety: This was the second time I have come to your lovely tea room. The atmosphere is charming, elegant yet relaxed. The chicken salad sandwich was divine and the mint ice tea with juice was refreshing and wonderful. The service was personable and super friendly and my girlfriends and I had a great time. I am looking forward to visiting again when I am in town. |

Variety: Brought my mom here for Mother's Day- and we were definitely impressed! I've had afternoon tea at some of the fanciest hotels in NY, Chicago, D.C.- and the food here surpassed them all! Very friendly service, too! Don't miss it! |

Variety: This has been the most wonderful tearoom I've been to in a while. My girlfriends and I try out a new tearoom every month or so. We found this one via Teamap.com and absolutely fell in love with it. The food was outstanding and service was not only good but delightful. I loved the chicken salad sandwiches. Whether having a 'high tea' menu or directly off the regular menu, the food was delicious. Some of us had the Queen's tea while another ordered off the menu. We were all totally satisfied. Definitely will be back especially if she does another 'Titanic' party. |

Variety: Dea, It's taken me 'too' long to write my review for you, but here it is... My husband and I first came to your Tea House for our anniversary in July of '08. I had come across your ad in a local paper and was so excited, even though the drive would be an hour long., it didn't matter. From the time we drove into the parking lot and saw the adorable Tea House front on the second floor...I knew we were in the right place! But...then I came inside your door., and I knew even better in my heart of hearts...we were in the right Tea House. What we were about to experience was to learn how to 'rest', 'inhale peaceful moments as a couple', and listen to the 'outstanding selection of music meant for this place'. We were in a little bit of heaven on earth, that's where we were. While there, an... (more) |
