Variety: The atmosphere here is great as this tea shop is housed in the old boiler room of the Cutler Mill in historic Warren, Rhode Island. Built in 1868, this restored mill space offers a one of a kind space for a fantastic afternoon with someone special or on your own... good food, good service, soft music and plenty to look at. Stained glass, spiral staircase, fancy decor, cobblestone courtyard, statues, outside seating (seasonal), outside gardens, an iron gate entry and plenty of parking. Sit by the gas stove in plush chairs or a private room for small groups, browse the old books or room of antiques. Everything on the menu is very good and the tea selection is diverse. Overall a very nice experience to all. The tea shop is in the back of the mill complex so easy to miss. Enter the parking lot... (more) |

Variety: My daughters and I found this place accidentally. We not only had lunch, we had an experience. The soup, we had spinach and rice. Flat bread sandwiches with Cotswold cheese and caramelized onions, were out of this world. The scones were to die for. Most of all, the service was warm, personal and informative. This is definitely our new special place. |

There I encounterd a wonderfull experience: a warm atmosphere, prompt and friendly service, and a unique lunch menu. I recommend every try the english scones. Deliscious! |

Variety: On a recent drearily rainy afternoon, I took my sister out to tea for her birthday to this new find! Basically British, now located in Warren is the perfect tea spot to transport you 'across the pond'. The style of this tea house I'd describe as British bohemian... lots of antiques, garden statues, and tapestried booths. We dined on soup, tea sandwiches, and scones. My sister had a curried tomato and I had a chowder with sweet potato, corn and clam. The soups were divine! The sandwiches were alright. They had 3 varieties, and were kind enough to subsitute as we both didn't want the smoked salmon. The tea was excellent- lots of loose leaf varieties to choose from. The scones were more sweet than I'm used to... more like a muffin, but quite tasty. Next time, perhaps we'll try another dessert. Overall a great experience, I'll have to come up with an excuse to go back. |
