As soon as you step in the door you realize a unique dining experience awaits. This is a welcome escape from the ordinary. The food is heavenly, the staff is very attentive and the surroundings are beautiful and relaxing. A good variety of teas. I have had many kinds of soups and they are all good. A good selection of salads or sandwiches which are all delicious. Homemade items such as chicken salad, pimento cheese (mmmm), crabcakes, and the cheesecakes are scrumptious. A great place to be shared with friends and family. If you want a truly special meal this is where you need to go.

Enjoyed the birthday tea. Have been to several tea rooms. This was one of the best in all areas; atmosphere, quality and quanity. Very relaxing and the information given us was great! Plan to go there again.

Want a good tea experience? Then you must go to Becky's Tea Cafe. What a good afternoon of food, friendship, laughter, tea, food, tea (did I say that already-haha). My 3 friends and I had a wonderful experience. On that day, we had 4 simply wonderful teas (she has more)(my favorite was the happy tea), sandwiches which were just delicious... crab and the cuke & dill - to mention 2 of them. When you first arrive, there is a little shop in front with different items which you can purchase if you wish. Then you enter the tea room area and choose your hat!!! I have loved hats since I was a child (no, not baseball caps!!) and some of those hats were unreal....Once they were perched on top of our heads, we took a few pictures and the fun (and eating) began. It was served in a very profession... (more)

No one has mentioned the crab cakes! Truly the best I've ever had.

The tea room is very nice and artistically pleasing. I was asked to move three times to accommodate other guests and watched while other guests who were seated after me received their food first. I was not dressed well. I don't like being a second rate customer.

My sister and her husband were visiting from Ohio and she loves tea, so we decided to go to Becky's for the first time. I will definitely be back! It had such a cute atmosphere, and we had fun picking out a hat to wear as well as an antique tea cup to use. We had the 'cream' tea, and the scones were fabulous! I will be frequenting Becky's in the months to come!

Went to Becky's Tea Cafe with three friends. What a pleasant surprise it was, since I had 'reservations' about what kind of tea room I could find in Powhatan county. All my 'reservations' have been erased and this is definitely a place to go if you truly like tea. Becky had three teas already brewed which we tasted that were tisanes. These were good, but I am a black tea woman and require my caffeine . Our server very cheerfully brewed what ever choices we made and refilled us as many times as we could drink it. What a pretty room, decorated with all types of tea accoutrement. What pretty silver and what lovely tablecloths. Also I enjoyed seeing tea cups there were not duplicated in my own personal collection. You choose your own cup from the dresser as well as a lovely vintage hat ... (more)

If I might echo the patron below, it is very rare today to find ANY PLACE that makes you feel special and valued as a customer. Becky's Tearoom does and that alone makes it different from other tearooms. Of course the food is delicious (especially the soups- try the Pear & Gouda!) and always hot. The atmosphere is relaxing and the service excellent. The staff, including Becky will truly make you want to linger, chat and sip the afternoon away on all types of teas. Becky's is certainly a hidden treasure that is worth the drive.

This was a delightful experience from start to finish. Becky has a flair for choosing the right hat for you to wear and I don't normally even like hats! After you pick out your teacup and saucer, you are ready to begin. Today’s choices were Chocolate Chi, Cranberry Orange and Strawberry Kiwi. The prompt service, delicious food (I had the $1,000,000 sandwich) and attentive staff was top notch. It is so rare today to find places that make you feel valued as a customer and this is one of those places. This is what I call a Virginia treasure. It is located inside the Virginia Pantry (Mary Anna and Bobby Wilcox are so awesome). I recommend Becky’s for a extraordinary and relaxing dining experience! If you haven’t been you really don’t know what you are missing.

A friend and I had tea here last Friday. We had a lovely time. From picking our teacup from the assortment that are on hand, to listening to Becky, the very entertaining owner, this was a nice treat. The Tearoom is very cute and the food was wonderful and very plentiful. We couldn't finish everything and each left with a container full of the things that we couldn't eat. It is very reasonably priced considering the amount of food. This is well worth your time to visit. I'm sure we will be back.
