For my birthday this week a friend invited me to have lunch at Beyond the Garden Gate and from the minute we arrived we were treated royally. It truly was a special gift to spend time in the garden as well as in the Rose Room for lunch.

I recently visited Beyond The Garden Gate Tea Room and it was wonderful. I enjoyed the Iced Ginger Peach Tea and a few varieties of hot tea. They were all fabulous. I had Steetside Tea which included a salad, soup, and wonderful quiche. It also included a tray of delicious sandwhiches, scones, and desserts. The atmosphere was very inviting and I can't wait until I can return.

My husband and I visited this tea toom today and we were completely satisfied with everything! The ambience is great and it has the class of a tea room you might visit in a larger city. We spent some time with the owner. She really made us feel like her friends. We live in Ooltewah, Tn and it is nice to have a place like this to enjoy our lunch!

What a fun experience! Having tea with your girlfriends with hats and feather boas. I recently visited Beyond the Garden Gate at Streetside and sampled delicious gourment sandwiches (the olive relish ones were my favorite), exceptional desserts and wonderful flavors of tea. I even bought some to take home. Mrs. Jackie (the owner) made us feel right at home and treated us with southern hospitality! Thank you and we hope to visit again soon.

I have lived in Ooltewah Tn all my life.This Tea room has taken the area by storm. People come from miles and are alwarys happy they did.I have travled alot with a group of friends to many tea rooms.None even compare to Garden gate.The historical bulding was once a hotle a long time ago.I go every chance I get.I asked the owner if I could just stay there as night watchwoman and enjoy all the beautiful rooms.The sercice, food,atmosphere,tea,and the fact that you feel like you are in a different time and place make for the perfect tea room .

Beyond The Garden Gate Teahouse is the type of establishment you would expect in a much larger and more sophisticated city (ATL or NYC perhaps) not Ooltewah or Chattanooga, TN. You can experience the pride and thoughtfullness before being seated just by looking around at the tasteful decor. The ambience is top drawer. You will enjoy everything...good food, good service, delightful surroundings,excellent gift shop. I've already booked Mother's Day Tea for myself and 5 sisters and here it's only March. We had a wonderful experience at Beyond the Garden Gate at Street Side Tea Room and Gifts. The scones were heavenly, as well as the homemade lemon curd and cream. Also, the quiche was perfectly done with a cheesy top and a delectable, flaky crust. On top of this, the teas were excellent (all loose leaf)...especially the cinnamon orange! The atmosphere is relaxed and exactly what you imagine when thinking of a tea room...and then some. The service is prompt and very attentive. I highly recommend Beyond the Garden Gate at Street Side Tea Room and Gifts to everyone I know.

This tearoom has been wonderful from the opening day. The special events always live up to expectations and lunch time is a true treat. Both the quiche and the scones are gourmet quality. The tea selection includes all of the favored classics as well as trendy pours. Decor is perfection for a tea room. Make sure and call a day in advance to special order the extraordinary Streetside tea. Cheerful delightful staff.

My young daughter loves to visit Tea Rooms - but we never know how we will be greeted. (Some frown on children.) NOT Beyond the Garden Gate!!! They were absolutely wonderful and treated my little one like a true princess! From her personally selected feather boa to her very own 'pink tea'! She loved every minute of it. The food was absolutely delicious and everything was set up just so! This is our new 'special place'!

One of the things I really like about this tearoom is the vegetarian options available on the menu. They really make you feel like you are eating in your own home...only WAY more elegantly. It would be nce if they had more de-caffeinated tea options. Ovearll however, it is a delightful dining experience.

Our tea group met for tea this past Saturday and it was lovely! We were seated in the Rose Room downstairs, and the table was so beautifully set! Due to the extreme heat that day, only one lady had a pot of hot tea. The rest of us enjoyed iced tea, primarily the sweetened Raspberry Iced Tea. Delicious! It is very refreshing and not too sweet. However, a very nice variety of hot teas is offered. The chicken salad croissant and cream of tomato soup is what I ordered, and they were absolutely delicious! Fresh seasonal fruit was included, along with other little 'treats' on the plate. The staff at Beyond the Garden Gate is very friendly and welcoming. The decor is so feminine and beautiful. One could relax here all day. Also, check them out for their special events. They go above and beyond to make your experience a memorable one.
