I hosted a bridal shower at the tearoom and made a lasting impression on the guests attending the shower. Each ladie asked what influenced me to choose Burdett's as my location. I responded by saying that my first experience at the tearoom as part of an appreciation luncheon was magnificent. When mulling over a location for the shower, this tearoom popped into mind. I contacted the owner who was extremely helpful in all the planning and the shower function as well. I highly reccomend this tearoom for a lovely lunch and for any special occasion you may be planning.

What a great place in Springfield. I'm kicking myself for not coming here sooner. Wonderful sandwiches, salads and desserts - they will please any palate. Burdett's also offers traditional tea plates, which I will have to try on a future visit. The ham and cheese scone was light and so delicous. If you don't want hot tea, then try the fruit tea! The owner is very friendly and as are the staff. They are knowledgeable with the menu and offer prompt service. Highly recommend next time you're in Springfield.

I visit this tearoom often for the good food, wonderful fruit tea and cozy but cheerful atmosphere. If you visit be sure and try the chicken divan or their wonderful quiche. They have a different quiche and soup each day. The soups are unique and full of flavor. Oh, and I have to get a ham & cheese scone no matter what I get.Their desserts are homemade and have added to my waistline. They also have 'to die for' merchandise. Everything from exclusive teapots to jewelry to neat little toys. My husband thinks its a really expensive restuarant because everytime I go I have to buy 'something.' My meal usually runs me $10 - 15 with tip and dessert. I have visited many tearooms in TN and this is one of my favorites. It reminds me of an Old English tearoom.
