The chicken salad is just plain chicken and ground real fine with no fruit or nuts added. Almost like a pate'. The cheese scones are more like biscuits with some sugar added. I like this place alot but i felt the food was lacking. For the price it needs stepping up a bit.

Great tea room! Food is very good. Decor is just what a tea room should be...crotched table cloths. Twinkling lights. Service is sometimes a little slow, but usually one doesn't come to a tea room when in a hurry. Antique barn, boutique, and theater all within walking distance which makes this a perfect Saturday get away.

What a nice spot for lunch or afternoon tea! The historic downtown location is charming, it's nice to be able to get 3-tier afternoon tea service as a walk-in with no reservation. When I was there, it was pleasantly busy with no unused tables, yet the staff served everyone delicious food & tea in a timely fashion. A local gem of a tea room!

You must try a scone. They serve a daily special and are the best ever. Each season it is a treat to see decorations. Great food and style.

This is a lovely tea room in all senses of the word. They have a fine tea plate with great scones, sandwiches, and desserts. It is very friendly and has a peaceful atmosphere! Worth the drive!

Love this place. They have a scone of the day and the flavors are wonderful and sometimes surprising. The other food is lovingly prepared, kind of like your grandmother would make for you. Have not had a single item that I have not just loved.

My husband and I had afternoon tea. Very nice. Scones were especially good. He also ordered quiche, which was excellent. Only problem: we each wanted a different tea. For some reason we couldn't each have a small pot, but had to share a large pot, therefore had to decide on only 1 type of tea! Otherwise, very nice. I would return.

I hosted a bridal shower at the tearoom and made a lasting impression on the guests attending the shower. Each ladie asked what influenced me to choose Burdett's as my location. I responded by saying that my first experience at the tearoom as part of an appreciation luncheon was magnificent. When mulling over a location for the shower, this tearoom popped into mind. I contacted the owner who was extremely helpful in all the planning and the shower function as well. I highly reccomend this tearoom for a lovely lunch and for any special occasion you may be planning.

What a great place in Springfield. I'm kicking myself for not coming here sooner. Wonderful sandwiches, salads and desserts - they will please any palate. Burdett's also offers traditional tea plates, which I will have to try on a future visit. The ham and cheese scone was light and so delicous. If you don't want hot tea, then try the fruit tea! The owner is very friendly and as are the staff. They are knowledgeable with the menu and offer prompt service. Highly recommend next time you're in Springfield.

I visit this tearoom often for the good food, wonderful fruit tea and cozy but cheerful atmosphere. If you visit be sure and try the chicken divan or their wonderful quiche. They have a different quiche and soup each day. The soups are unique and full of flavor. Oh, and I have to get a ham & cheese scone no matter what I get.Their desserts are homemade and have added to my waistline. They also have 'to die for' merchandise. Everything from exclusive teapots to jewelry to neat little toys. My husband thinks its a really expensive restuarant because everytime I go I have to buy 'something.' My meal usually runs me $10 - 15 with tip and dessert. I have visited many tearooms in TN and this is one of my favorites. It reminds me of an Old English tearoom.

Excellent all around. The food is the best that I have tasted at any tea shop. I have been many times :) The decor is also nice; warm and cozy without being too busy or overstated.

We have been there 4 times and had a great experience each time. We have 3 young children and had no problem taking them. I noticed that it is casual enough and not so frilly, so men are comfortable going there too. The food is always EXCELLENT! The prices are very reasonable also. The staff has always been nice and inviting.
