I took my 9 year old granddaughter and we had a wonderful time. She couldn't stop smiling. We dressed up with the hats and boas. Service, food was fabulous. We will be going back.

Went with my 93 year old mom and my sister. We dressed up in the furs and hats, which added to the fun! The food was much better than I expected...I even tried some new items which were delicious. Great service. We will return!

This place is great! Great tea, never over-steeped or too bitter or astringent. The foodis great, and the service is impeccable. The gift shop and teas available to take home are great. It makes it much easier to get hard-to-find teas. Definitely give this place a try!

Calabash Garden Tea Room surpasses any other my tea room experience. I brought my best girl friend to tea room and she was surprise at the wonderful experience and everyone was wonderful.

I wish my mother was around so we could have enjoyed the experience together.

It is my very favorite place to relax and enjoy the wonderful hospitality offered by the staff. It also has the best scones I ever tasted. Truly a wonderful place to visit.

There is something special about being pampered in an intimate space that is so charmingly decorated that you can't help but take a deep breath and sigh with pleasure. The Calabsh Garden Tea Room delivers all of that and a full tea service that is scrumptious from start to finish (and offers a gluten-free service that doesn't cut corners). As a full time resident, it's a joy to have this teashouse right around the corner!

5-Star all the way....a delightful and cozy atmosphere with wonderful service and Southern hospitality. The scones are to die for. We all ordered some to go. Great for a special celebration or just because.....

I've visited the Calabash Tea Room multiple times while visiting family in NC. Though it's a 45 min drive from family, it's totally worth it!! The ambiance is quaint, the food delish and the owners/staff are extremely friendly! I honestly can not think of a single negative thing to say about this tea room!

I have made repeat visits with lots of friends, granddaughters(5 and 8 years old--heart shaped PB&J were a big hit!)and my two daughters to this tearoom--probably because we are NEVER disappointed. Cathy and Anna are gracious and friendly and the food (starting with the tomato basil soup--Yum!)is the best of any tearoom I have been too. I have been to lots of tearooms in many states and I am not exaggerating--Calabash is the best for ambiance, food and friendliness! You will not be disappointed.

I visited the Calabash Garden Tea room last week while on vacation and had a wonderful time. I went with my mother and my two daughters and we enjoyed the tea, the food, and the overall charm of the place. The gift shop is across the way and I stopped off for some souvenirs and tea to bring home. Overall we had a great time. I look forward to returning the next time I am in Calabash.

I visited the Calabash Tea Room for the third time in March, 2013. Each time I've been the experience was outstanding. Great service, great tea, wonderful atmosphere. I love the way you're treated when you go there! You feel very pampered and special.

Walk into the cottage of the Calabash Tea Room and begin a journey of enchantment, an extensive variety of teas, great tea sandwiches, salad and homemade tomatoe bisque soup. The tea room is the most charming and delightful experiences you can have. I live local and go with a group friends for every special occassion you can imagine. Bring your cameras as the host's have tea hats, boas, gloves and all the props to bring you into a Victorian Era in England. Kathy and Anna are special people and make all their visitors feel welcome and special.

I went with my mother, daughter, and niece. The girls are 8 and 9. We had a delightful time. It was very quaint and relaxing. There is a very large assortment of tea. I can't wait to go again.

Eight friends attended and we had a great time. We were impressed with the great number of teas, loved the sandwiches and salad, and really loved the desserts. Great experience. We plan to do it again.

I had a delightful time. The service is friendly, the tea room is charming and the teacups, saucers and napkins reminded me of my mother and grandmother it brought back sweet memories. I cant wait to bring more family and friends here to enjoy a wonderful lunch. The chilled strawberry soup was a nice surprise & the Valentine scone was delish! Not to mention the smoked salmon sandwich among others that were just wonderful on our tier. This is a very special place! Dont miss out when your in town.

What a lovely experience from the Tomato Bisque, to Garden Salad, to the Devine 3 tier Ultimate tea, there were so many flavors of tea to choose from I was glad my daughters were there to share the fun and their tea :-)

I took my best friend here today, she was visiting me from New York State. What a treat!! The food at this tea room is like no other tea room I have ever been to. The mini key lime pies on the dessert part of the tier were so good, we wanted more!! Luckily, we were able to purchase the larger version at their cupcake shop on our way out of Calabash. What a wonderful way to spend a cold rainy day or any day for that matter. It's a very busy place so I always make a reservation and you should too.

This is the absolute best tea room...great service, wonderful atmosphere__love the garden tearoom decor plus very large selection of teas and delicious food. I try to find reasons to treat myself to tea there often.

What a great time my mother, sister & I had together. We love finding the local tea rooms when we get a chance to be together. it was such a nice time to catch up things and slow down, relax and enjoy one anothers company. especially over some of the most wonderful tea sandwiches, scones and deserts with the Ultimate Tea. on top of it all, we picked out our own flavors of tea and were able to share the teas, What an Experience! This was my second visit to this lovely Tea Room and I was even more impressed the second time. The food, the teas and the service are outstanding. It's a great place to meet with girlfriends or to have a special outing with my granddaughters.

This is the most amazing tea room I have ever been to! The selection of teas is incredible. The food is wonderful and the service outstanding. Every time I visit, I try to think of more people to take here. Simply the nicest place around for the best lunch.

We visit the Calabash Garden Tea Room every time we come to South Carolina. This time we planned a bridal shower. What a great job ! They paid attention to every detail. The tea sandwich selection was delicious all different the smoked salmon with toasted sesame seeds and roast beef with horseradish sauce on whole wheat fingers were two of my favorites and the service impeccable. The presentation, tea selection, and Kathy's Secret Garden Salad Dressing is the best. All the staff were attentive and organized. I loved the oversized chocolate dipped strawberry and red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. The lavender white chocolate scone was the best I have ever had. There is also a great selection of hats for everyone to enjoy. This is a Tea Room not to be missed.

I spent the day in calabash today and had lunch at the Calabash Garden Tea Room .... OMG !!!!! What a find ! We had the Ultimate Tea and it was the Ultimate ! I started with fresh chilled strawberry soup garnished with a strawberry heart. The tea sandwiches were delicious and all so different and desserts devine. They have a huge tea selection I had an almond macaroon and my sister had the honey ginger . Can't wait hot go back

I recently hosted a bridal luncheon for my niece at this lovely tea room and it was beyond perfect. Our guests were delighted by the selection of teas, delicious salad dressing, finger sandwiches and petit desserts. And did I mention the best scones ever? This was quite simply the best choice for this very memorable occasion. I can't wait to do it again next year when my youngest niece ties the knot!!

This is our second visit to the Calabash Garden Tea Room this month. On our first visit my friend and I wanted to take our mothers out for a special event and selected the Ultimate Tea. The food was absolutely fantastic. Fresh and flavorful. Anna and Kathy were the best hostess's. The atmosphere of the tea room was special.There were hats and boas to dress up in. The decor is fantastic. These two ladies know how to make you feel so special. Our second visit was with 19 people from our condo buliding. We raved so much about our experience that everyone wanted to see for themselves. We all had a fabulous time and everyone enjoyed themselves. Thank you Kathy and Anna for a wonderful experience.

My friend and I wanted a special afternoon with our mothers so we took them to the Calabash Tea Garden for Ultimate Tea. It was truly an experience in elegance and both mothers were incredibly pleased. Anna and Kathy explained the presentations and selections, advised us on the hats and boas and explained about the foods we would sample. It was a marvelous experience and made the day with our mothers a very special, memorable treat. We will be returning again soon. Thank you, ladies, you made the afternoon perfect!

This was my first visit to a tea garden and was a wonderful experience.It was so much fun to select hats and boas to set the mood. There were many choices of tea and we each had our own pot so got to sample several. The food was beautifully presented. I think the scones were the best I've ever eaten!

Fantastic Tea Experience! I've been to many in several states and this lovely cottage site serves with such a class act style. Food and ambiance is super and lots of hats to add the necessary touch - voila - a fun afternoon with the girls!

The afternoon tea was a highlight of our annual sister's weekend. Every serving was a delightful surprise and the hats added such fun to the whole event. I love trying everything, and I did.

Memories were made during our visit to the Tea room. It was an incredible experience and filled with 'southern' charm. We will be back when we visit Holden Beach in the future.

What a wonderful environment to be in. We had such a great time playing dressup with hats and boas! The tea choices were amazing and delicious. The chef made a personal lunch for us for special dietary needs and it was out of this world.

I have food allergies. The owner took the time to put together a special menu for me that I was able to enjoy with the rest of my party. I was so impressed! Not only was it out of her way to do this but it was so incredibly delicious! I would recommend this tea shop to everyone. Please let her know in advance your food allergies. :-)

My best friend and I are in our early twenties, and since these college years have taken us apart and taken up a lot of our time, it always means a lot for us to share a lot of meaningful moments together when we are both home in myrtle beach, sc. Especially now, since she will be moving to Europe at the end of this month for a year. From our very first visit to the Calabash Garden Tea Room, it was love at first sight, and we knew we had discovered a hidden treasure that we'd be visiting as often as we could. She and I are both admirers of all things beautiful, vintage, and dreamy.
You can tell that their food is made with a lot of care and love, from the beginning to the very end, it's art. We are both so overly infatuated with their tomato bisque, if I lived closer to the tea room I ... (more)would be addicted. Every little finger sandwich, every scone, every little sweet on that three tiered serving tower is a little creation of beauty. The decor is so feminine and sweet, with a bit of eclectic charm, with it's non-matching teacups and saucers and varied shabby chic furnishings. One of my favorite things is the way that they have the bottoms of trees and walkways outside lined with broken saucers, plates, and tea cups.
You can tell that the owner, Kathy, has really put her heart and soul into creating a place that's very rare, special, and unique. She even gave an adorable little tea cup and saucer to my best friend as a gift and wished her well on her move. She is really such a sweet and warm lady and it was so nice getting to talk with her. We really only have good things to say about this lovely little place, it's such a gem, we love it so much. Thank you for making our experience so special every time we visit.

This was my first experience at a tea room and it was beyond excellent. Everything from the atmosphere to the strawberry soup was amazing. I enjoyed that we could play 'dress up' as we drank tea and ate delicious treats. I can not wait to visit again next year!

This was my first tea room experience and let me tell you the bar has been set very high. I was very impressed with the service. Our servers(one of which was co-owner) were pleasant and talkative. There were 60 types of tea to choose from. I ended up picking the Spring Cherry which was excellent. The food selection was also very delicious. I would highly recommend the strawberry soup! My family vacations in Myrtle Beach every year. Hope to visit again next year and try to make this a regular vacation stop. Thanks!

What an Amazing little gem of a tea room I found in Calabash while passing through! The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. The Ultimate Tea and pineapple coconut scones were to die for! and blueberry hibiscus iced tea perfect.
My server Bridget was so sweet and helpful.
Can't wait to go back with friends.

Once again we had a wonderful experience at the Tea Room! My five and seven year olds loved the hats and boas and they enjoyed their special kids platters. The ladies are so friendly and they even offered the kids extra sandwiches when they finished their plates! I can't wait to go back next year with the kids and my mom.

Great tea room. The tea was excellent the scones were delicious, the cupcake and chocolate covered starwberries were great. The tea room was fun with hats you could wear. The owners and staff were friendly and nice. My husband and I had a wonderful time! We will return soon!

Year after year, this tea room just keeps getting better. The food is consistently good as is the service and atmosphere. These ladies make everyone feel special and give them an experience to remember. Every summer since they've been in Calabash,my daughter, daughter-in-law and and five grandchidren insist on having tea and lunch when they are here on vacation. Their smiles are priceles. I do suggest you make reservations. We're not the only ones who adore this little gem. I look forward to bringing my girls here for many years to come and I am so appreciative that there is a place like this right in my little town.

My family and I went to the Calabash Tea Room expecting to be amazed based because of their ranking. However, we were extremely disappointed. The food was only average and the atmosphere was severly lacking. We have visted many tea rooms, most ranked lower on tea map, but all of them out ranked this tea room. We will neither go back nor recomend this tea room to anyone.
