Variety: My sisters and I had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful tea room while spending the weekend in Myrtle Beach. What an experience! The food and teas were absolutely delectable! The scones were definitely the best we've had yet. Kathy and Anna were so friendly and attentive. The tea room was so beautifully decorated and the dishes and pretty hankies reminded all of us sisters of things our Mom had when were were growing up. After tea we visited the Tea Room Gift Shop and bought some of Kathy's WONDERFUL salad dressing. Afternoon tea is a special part of our yearly 'Sisters' trip and this year our experience at the Calabash Garden Tea Room was TOPS!!! |

Variety: Two local friends treated me to a perfectly wonderful treat at the Calabash Garden Tea Room & gift Shop. The variety of taste treats was tops, the tea was so good we drank an additional pot, Kathy and all the others were just as nice as could be, and literally everything was charming, lovely, delightful, and delicious. Even the restroom was above and beyond. I look forward to visiting this tea room as often as I'm in the area. |

Variety: This tearoom is absolutely out of this world! I live in Myrtle Beach and was delighted to find a tea room so close to home. I brought my daughter and grand daugher there while they were visiting me this summer and it was nothing less than a magical moment that we will all remember for years to come. They even offer a children's platter that is delicious and almost too pretty to eat. The food, the ambiance and the service were well beyond our expectations. I have been to tea at several well known tea rooms during my travels and let me assure you, this one is right up there with them. I suggest that anyone looking to enjoy the finest teas and food in this area, whether you are a local or guest, visit this fabulous tea room. You will not regret it! And don't forget your camera.. |

Variety: What a surprise to find a tea room in Calabash, NC. We drove by the tea room on our way to N. Myrtle Beach while on vacation at Sunset Beach. My husband actually saw the sign and made mention of it. We drove by the next day and found out the hours of operation and we were able to come for tea the very next day. Luckily, they were able to take us walk-ins. The tea room had three distinct areas decorated in soft victoriana. Just right and not overpowering. We started with water served in hand painted water glasses. I just love the unexpected things. The slice of lemon served in a bird squeezer. You have to see it to understand. The food varied from scones, savories and sweets and the presentation was supurb and detail oriented. One of the tea sandwiches was carefully tied into a ... (more) |

Variety: My daughter celebrated her fourth birthday with thirteen boys and girls we have had the pleasure of meeting over the past two years in this unique area. They had such a time dressing up in ties and jackets, hats and gloves, and of course feather boas. My duaghter thinks cake is yummy but the idea of something different like a scone was so intrigueing to her. Beautiful family memories were created here and we are so greatful to these special ladies for taking care of the people who have touched us during this special time in our lives. Who would have thought table manners could be so much fun to learn?! |

Variety: I had the wonderful pleasure of having my sister and two nieces visiting me for a week at the beach and I took advantage of them being here from Maryland to take them to the Calabash Garden Tea Room, which I have been to before. We had such a wonderfull time and lots of fun. We had the fun of using the beautiful hats and boa's and there was a beautiful pink sweater with a fur like collar that looked beautiful on my 17 year old niece. We had a wonderful time and we can't say enough about the service, FOOD and TEA. We order different types of tea so we could taste what each other had. EVERYTHING WAS JUST GREAT. After we left the TEA ROOM we visited the gift shop and we purchased the salad dressing that is home made by Kathy (one of the owners)trust me you can't go home without it. Too... (more) |

Variety: Offering a variety of teas (both classic favorites and unique blends), the Calabash Garden Tea Room is not to be missed. To complement the excellent tea selection is an array of ever changing treats. Beautifully displayed on three tiered serving trays and garnished with fresh flowere, the scones, sandwiches and desserts offered something for everyone. The petite skewer of grapes and berries with a white chocolate drizzle was my favorite. But most important to us was the hospitality displayed by our hostess and servers. They made the experience special. Our group of women ranged from my niece who is twelve to my mother-in-law who is turning 80, and we all had a wonderful time. |

Variety: We would like to thank you for having such a lovely tea room. My family travels from Florida and Ohio every summer for a weeks vacation on Ocean Isle Beach. As every year the guys get to have a 'TEE Time' for a round at golf and every year the women wonder what to do....So this year mom decided to have a 'TEA Time' for us girls. As we arrived to the lovely tea room we were asked to try on boas and hats, we had a ball for literally 30mins (atleast) we giggled and took pictures and just had fun.We ate a lovely variety of treats, we loved the scones.Tried 2 of the neat tasting teas they had to offer out of a variety of teas. Before we headed back to house we did stop by the gift shop. What a lovely day and a load of memories for us ladies to share and can't wait till next year for another 'TEA TIME'>THANKS, Mom Bittinger, Jessica,Amy & Sara |

Variety: An exquisite experience for your senses! This tea room is not to be missed. I took my mother and brother here when they were in town and absolutely fell in love. Kathy's 'Ultimate Tea' creation is not only beautiful but the most delicious food I've had in the area. The tea was brewed perfectly and the fresh-baked scones are positively mouth-watering! The shabby chic cottage is decorated perfectly and dressing room with hats, boas and gloves provided my family and I with much entertainment. What a relaxing treat! Kathy and Anna treated us with unending hospitality and generosity. The Calabash Garden Tea Room is not only the perfect place for a tea lover, but for anyone who wants to be pampered. |

Variety: Tea is a sister affair. My sister, Peg, and I love visiting tea rooms. We have searched them out from CT to VA to NC, and I can truthfully say,'Calabash Garden Tea Room is my absolute favorite.' From viewing the quaint little cottage's exterior to the last little nibble of a chocolate covered stawberry, the experience touched all my senses. I look forward to my next scone and clotted cream with weloming taste buds. This tea room was the highlight of my trip. |

Variety: My sisters and I heard about the tearoom near the end of our visit to Sunset Beach. We went with my nieces on our last way of vacation. It was a wonderful experience and the girls stated it was one of the highlights of the trip. Tea is in a small cottage and is very intimate. The owners serve so you get a chance to hear their story. The girls loved picking a hat to wear for tea from a collection offered to guests in an old fashioned bathroom. There was time for pictures. The food and presentation were exquisite! The owners pay attention to every detail; each tea sandwich had its own personality--some time with satin ribbons, the chicken salad in an edible hen's nest. The butterscotch toffee scones with clotted cream and lemon chard were to die for. In addition there a number of oth... (more) |

Variety: My sister and I started and ended our vacation with having had two teas a week apart. We enjoyed our first tea so much we had to go back. The food was delicious and the decor had a Victorian flair that was very comfortable. The Ragamuffin Tea was our favorite. The salad dressing was so good we had to take a jar home to share with others. The scones were some of the best I have ever had. I am a local resident on the SC side of the line and I plan to return with my daughters when they come to visit. If you are in the Myrtle Beach area and love to have Tea make your reservations to visit this lovely tea room. You won’t be disappointed. |

Variety: After dropping family off at the airport Dana and I actually waited over 2 hours for this tea room to open just so we could dine there, and it was well worth the wait...The owners are 'Jersey Girls' so we fit right in. The decor was Victorian Shabby Chic, vintage table cloths and hankies, pretty table settings, fresh flowers. Food over the top. Salad dressing outstanding as well as the scones. Desserts melted in your mouth. If you like to 'thrift', do not leave without talking to Kathy. You could easily make a day of it. We loved our first visit and will be back. All the best to this wonderful tea house. |

Variety: I had the pleasure of taking tea at this exceptional tea room over the holidays and it was such a wonderful experience, the tea, the service, the food and especially the scones were just amazing. We had the holiday scones and they were quite yummy as was everything else. Kathy's Secret Garden Salad Dressing is also wonderful. You must try this. I bought some to take back to NJ with me and as gifts. What a treat it was to see all of the guests dressed in hats and boas. I can't wait until my next visit. I highly recommend visiting this tea room, you will not be disappointed. And don't forget to stop in the gift shop on the way out. |

Variety: A friend and I stumbled upon this tea room quite by accident and we were absolutely delighted with the experience! The victorian ambiance was wonderful with all the right touches--evoking memories of times gone by. We had the ultimate tea and found it was excellent with outstanding attention to detail. The owners were most welcoming and sincerely shared their enthusiasm for the art of tea, making it a 'must' stop for afternoons in the future. |

Variety: On our visit to the beach, my daughter and I 'introduced' a friend and her daughter to the 'tea' experience. This was a wonderful tea room for their first tea. They are not 'girly' girls, by their own admission, but enjoyed the tea immensely. The apricot tea was delightful, as was the English Breakfast. The food was superb; well-prepared, and beautifully presented. I didn't like the 'drip prevention' devices they used on the teapots. They distracted from the charm. I would rather have had a few drops of tea on the table than those tea soaked foam pads. The decor was feminine and sweet and the atmosphere was cozy without being cramped. We never felt like the neighboring table was eavesdropping on our conversation! Even the music was well thought out and added a backdrop of peace and tranquility to our experience. Thank you, ladies! We have already recommended you to our family and friends. |

Variety: I brought my husband and two friends to this wonderful tea room. We had the 'Ultimate Tea' complete with delicious home made scones, delicate sandwiches and drizzled fruit. We had three varieties of tea served graciously in beautiful teapots. Proprieters Kathy and Anna were very warm and attentive. I plan to go back each time I'm in Calabash. Make sure to pick a hat and boa to complete the experience! Thanks Ladies! |

Variety: My three girlfriends and I went to have a 'full tea' and we were not disappointed. The savorys were just that, the scones the best I've ever had and the deserts were to die for.The owners could not have been more gracious. I am a well -travelled tea room visitor and this is on par with high tea in London. They also have hats and boas and will take and print a picture for you. What fun. |

Variety: The Calabash Tea room is quite exceptional. Everything from the unique and scrumptious scones, to the elegant ambiance, to the cordial service, and the mouth-watering Rose Garden tea was absolutely heavenly! The tea shop gift shop across the courtyard allows all interested to take a little piece of the decor home with you. I highly reccommend. |

Variety: from the moment you step inside you are transformed into a fairytale setting- calming and lovely, like a grown up tea for the little girl inside us. no detail is overlooked! The food is a delicious masterpiece, and the scones are the best I've had! A large tea selection and beautiful presentation! The ragamufin and dessert teas are delicious. It is truly a spa for the soul, I did not want to leave! There is no other place like this in the area! |
