I will certainly return to the Cambridge Tea House. I loved their Harney & Sons teas and their tea breads. The ambience is very nice and it's got a lot of the traditional British tea room aspect to it.

My complaints are about things that can be changed easily. My partner and I got our food almost immediately (cream tea and tea breads) but had to wait another ten minutes for the tea to arrive. Why not reverse this order?

It would be nice if the tea cups were warmed--I don't know how difficult that would be.

The cream tea, alas, had the American interpretation of 'scone'. I much prefer the .
British. The clotted cream was a bit of a mystery--at first I thought it was mixed with cream cheese or perhaps sour cream. The texture was almost gelatinous. And t... (more)

Recently, I had a delightful lunch at the Cambridge Tea House with two friends, Di and Tricia. Tricia’s mom opened the new tea house recently and Tricia has helped along the way. We were treated to the Afternoon High Tea and it was delicious. From the yummy soup, to the quaint sandwiches to the delectable scones (some of the best I’ve ever had), to the finishing touches of the assorted desserts, it was a fun time. Next time you want a mouth watering lunch stop in, it’s on 5th Ave in Marble Cliff.

I was not sure what to expect, being a 41 year old male but wow, was I impressed. This place has the best food I have tasted anywhere in years. The toffee scones melted in my mouth - the soup & sandwich I had were excellend, and the cupcakes were better than my mother makes. This was a great experience and sinceI live in Columbus, I will be a regular customer at this fine lunch spot!

This tea house just opened on 9/22/09. It is by far the best tea house I have visited in Ohio (and I've been to many). I had the afternoon high tea, which was excellent (and reasonably priced at $14.95) -- on the day I went, it included a curried egg salad tea sandwich, a cucumber tea sandwich, choice of two scones, clotted cream, jam, chocolate covered pineapple, chocolate dessert, raspberry macaroon, and choice of a pot of tea. I had the yellow and blue tea, which was wonderful. There was not a single thing that I did not love on the tray. They also have a prince and princess tea for those 10 and under that comes with milk, hot chocolate, or tea; a dessert; and sliced tea bread with cream rosettes or heart shaped peanut butter and jam sandwich. The little ones even get to dress up with crowns and other dress up attire. The atmosphere is sophisticated -- this is a place I highly encourage you to try. You won't be disappointed!
