Variety: Yesterday, I attended the 'Football Widows Tea' at this tearoom with several of my friends. We make it a habit to visit tearooms from near and afar and I have to say this is one of the best experiences we have ever had. The tea choices were many and the teapot never stayed empty. We tried as many as we liked until we 'floated away'. The Glitter and Gold (a vanilla spice) and Snowflake (coconut, almond, and cinnamon) and Nutcracker (citrus spice) were our favorites and can be purchased in the enchanting gift shop. There was a choice of soups - Borscht (beets from Lin's organic garden) and a Tuscan bean also very delicious. Scones and the lemon curd the best we ever tasted. Sandwiches and desserts were delicious as well. For more fun, we played 'Teago' which was like bingo but had an educational twist about 'tea'. The owner made sure that everyone left with a gift. Since the menu changes every month, we plan to visit this tearoom often. Thanks Lin and staff for a wonderful day. |

Variety: When my family and friends come to visit me they always make sure we have tea at your 'tea room.' Your scones, desserts, etc. are the very best. Thank you and thanks to your staff also. |

Variety: My wife and I had celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary at this tearoom. We heard so much about it from our daughters who are regular customers. Needless to say, I was never at a tearoom (being a man) and my wife never experienced a 'tea' so we were there strictly on our daughter's recommendation. It was most delightful. The atmosphere was a little victorian but not overwhelming. The food was delicious and plentiful. I thought I would go away still hungry but we even had to ask for a doggie bag to take home with us. The owner, Lin, was very nice and catered to our every need. We are planning to go back now as a family. |

Variety: I was there with my family over the holidays for the Dicken's Tea. All I can say is wow! It was incredible down to the last detail. You can tell that the menu was well thought out and everything that we had to eat seemed to complement each other. The tea was plentiful and always coming to our table. There was a number of different varieties - it was hard to choose a favorite tea. The country victorian decor and atmosphere was all so charming and delightful and there were hats to wear too. Each table had a different table scape. Even though the place was packed and the servers were very busy, the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The owner and staff were very pleasant and personable. Many lovely and tempting items in the the gift shop as well. We can't wait to go back! |

Variety: I visited this tea shop over the holidays and loved it. The pumpkin scone was amazing as well as the snowflake tea. I would go back just for those two items alone! Our waitress was very pleasant as well. Cannot wait to go back. |

Variety: When my best friend was getting married I set up her bridal shower here. The food WAS excellent, but I found dealing with the staff to be very difficult. We were told that we would be the only ones there that day, which we had hoped for as there were quite a few of us. Instead it was opened up to whoever could walk in. Being that it's a business and needs to make money, understandable. It was just the first in a string of bad or no communication, though. We were also told we could take as long as we liked, but we'd been there for a bit more than an hour and the owner came out asking if she could cut the cake up to send home with us. I was very surprised, as I assumed no time limit meant no time limit, and she hadn't come to me to say she was hoping to close up. We were rushed throu... (more) |

Variety: My office visited Camellia's Sin Tea Parlor as a special introductory to a new employee. I am not much of a tea drinker and had never been to a parlor before. I was skeptical, but pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the food and teas presented to us. Normally a picky eater, I found myself finishing everything that touched my plate. All of the food was homemade, with the ingredients for our soup coming directly from the owner's garden. We tried three different teas - House Tea, Earl Grey and Snowflake. We all agreed that the Snowflake was our favorite. The parlor itself was very whimsical and relaxing, as we found ourselves still carrying out our conversion long after dessert was finished. Even our lone male employee had a wonderful time. |

Variety: One of my Daughter-in-law's baby shower was at Camellia's in May. It was so great, we planned the other Daughter-in-law's at the same location in September. The Tea Room was lovely, the food wonderful and the owner and staff very accomidating. The lovely gift shop was an added bonus. This was a great setting for these special affairs. |

Variety: Like many of you, because we really enjoy tea rooms, we have had tea at the Ritz in San Francisco and at Herrod's of London. I mention these other venues because we felt that the tea choice, the wide array of delicious food, and the attentive service at Camellia's was superior to these other two experiences. The environment is comfortable and relaxing, the china table settings are beautiful, and the scones and lemon curd were the best ever. This tea room is a model to be greatly enjoyed and appreciated. We were so happy that our vacation route took us through Carlisle. |

Variety: We just took our granddaughters to the Fairy Tea Party, and they absolutely loved it. They ranged in age from 3 to 11 and they all enjoyed it. Everything from the tea and desserts to Posey the Fairy. And the aunts and grandmothers enjoyed it as well. I highly recommend it. |

Variety: If you are a guy who is not afraid to take your wife to tea this is a great place to go. The decor in not all lace and fuffie so I felt very comfortable in the dining room.Don't worry there are no mannequins staring as shown on the web site. The food and tea were the right amount that a man would not go away hungry. All the food served was excellent, especially the orange/carrot soup. We were served snowflake and house blend tea and enjoyed both. We will be returning to this tearoom. |

Variety: My wife and I have taken tea in many parts of the world, including Brown's Hotel in London, the Empress Hotel in Victoria, British Columbia, the Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco, the Rose Cottage Tea Room in Pasadena, and the Chado tea rooms in Los Angeles. Despite the limited selection (but of high quality—my Assam and my wife's Earl Grey were both superb), our experience today ranks equal to the best of the best. The quiche was magnificently savory; the scones were mine, which are the best I've ever had; the asparagus wrapped in puff pastry was crunchy but not stringy; the chicken salad sandwich in a tiny, delicate brioche-tender roll let the flavor of the chicken come through without smothering it; the rich, complex chocolate pot de creme served cold in a tiny phyllo pastry cup, and ...
