A good selection of loose teas with superlative service and extraordinary foods. The welcoming and charming atmosphere is not to be missed. While I enjoyed an excellent Darjeeling, my companions experienced their signature Snowflake tea blended with coconut, almond and cinnamon. All teas served were outstanding. The tea room is also male friendly. The gift shop offered a wide variety of interesting goods as well.

I have been to this tea parlor twice and I have not been let down. I went with my husband and we had such a great time. The food is so good and good portions to. The teas are wonderful and Lynn is a master blender; a wealth of information. I loved the gift shope also. One thing everyone must do is try on a hat and enjoy your tea. Thank you for making our travel from VA to your tea parlor worth it every time.

Till we tea again,

Natalie and Andre

My friends and I spent a lovely afternoon chatting and enjoying a lovely afternoon tea. The tea room is beautiful and inviting. The food is 'delicious' and so are the selections of tea. (I especially love the snow flake tea). Lynn you make everyone feel welcomed and relaxed. I look forward to returning for your holiday tea in December. As always, a delightful experience.

From the moment I first stepped in the door I was struck by the beauty of the decor, every table is set in such a way as to be artistic in it's own right. The service was superb and the friendliness of the staff unexcelled. I loved the house teaand was so pleased that there were accomodations for gluten free individuals! The proprietress went above and beyond to give me delicious food being careful of my food allergies, I was so amazed by her thoughtful attentions. What a beautiful venue to have a shower or party. This is a place where they really care about the customers and it shows. And I could have spent hours in the lovely gift shop. I'd give this place 10 stars!

Tea at Camellis's was a treat from the first sip to the last sweet bite. Lovely decor, beautiful table settings, attentive service, yummy food and an assortment of teas to choose from--who could ask for anything more. I'm already planning a return trip.

Camillia's Sin is a wonderful little jewel in Carlisle. I loved the Snowflake tea and the scones were delicious! Everything was artistically served on beautiful china. I also attended the Fairy Tea Party which was wonderful! Its a truly special afternoon not only for little girls but for anyone who attends. I highly recommend Camillia's Sin. Thank you Lin and staff for a wonderful experience.

My new favorite place in Carlisle! From the first sip of tea I could feel my shoulders relaxing from my ears. By the time we finished I was totally relaxed from a stressful week. It was the most pleasant way to spend an afternoon.

My good friend treated a couple of us to a delightful experience today. From the moment I went through the front door, I knew I was in for something special. What a delight to try new teas and small portions of foods I normally only see in presented in food magazines. Everything about this wonderful tea parlor was spectacular; a charming place to meet with friends and enjoy the conversation without feeling rushed. My compiments to the owner and her staff!

I had visited Camillia's last year when I was in the area by myself and today I had the pleasure of bringing my daughter and a friend with her daughter. We had a wonderful time! The atmosphere and decor are very relaxing and the service was superb. The food was very yummy and we ended up taking some home with us because we couldn't finish everything. Everyone also enjoyed looking through the gift shop and I made sure I bought some snowflake tea to take home with us. We look forward to returning!

Today my daughter and I took two of my past co-workers (friends) with us to Camellia's. My daughters and I have been going there for several years and really enjoy the snow flake tea (our favorite) and the food is plentiful and delicious. (The cold berry soup today was wonderful) We never leave hungry. The shop is a delight and we spend lots of time in it browsing and buying unique items and gifts. Cannot wait to go again.

Yesterday, I took three generations to the Mother's Day Tea at Camellia's. We had been to many tearooms in our ventures but this has to be at the top of the list. The atmosphere is so delightful with a bit of whimsy Victorian decor but not overwhelming. The food was scrumptious and I must admit filling. You can see that a lot of thought went into the menu planning and preparation. Chocolate cake was the very best we ever ate!!! And I really mean that. Almond meringue clouds with raspberry filling were to die for!!!! The bulk tea kept flowing with all of the different varieties to choose from. Definitely try this one. Oh yeah, the gift shop is adorable. Monica F. 5/10/10

My daughter and I just enjoyed the Mother's Day Tea at Camilla's Sin and I must say, it was an outstanding and pleasant experience! The food items, from soup to little deserts, were delicious, creative beyond belief, and presented so well. The servings were generous and the china was beautiful. We in Carlisle are so fortunate to have such a first-rate tea room! Thanks for a wonderful afternoon!

I wanted to do something special- and a little different- to celebrate my daughter's 30th birthday. I invited the women in her life who are most important to her to an afternoon luncheon tea. Camellia's Sin was the perfect venue for our private tea party. The tea room was a beautiful intimate setting with superb service, delicious food and of course, lovely teas. Lin was a perfect hostess as she and her staff presented each amazing course. Everyone had a fabulous time- especially my daughter. Thank you Lin for making Julie’s birthday celebration so special. We're looking forward to our next visit.

Lovely tea room with co-ordinated settings at each place. Hostess was very attentive. Her selection of teas for each course was perfect, though wether loose or bagged teas were used is unknown as all pots arrived without bag or leaves. Unfortunately it was a busy day and the tea did not arrive hot enough. Her brand of English Breakfast is a poor quality and rather weak.
The wild mushroom soup was fabulous, though by the end of the serving the flavor of garlic overpowered the mushroom. Both the raisin and lavender scones were rather dry and a bit hard. Lemon curd was delicious, lite and the perfect bite. Devonshire cream was more like a light whip cream. Our cucumber/cream cheese sandwich had the delightful twist of red pepper and garlic salt sprinkled on top. The best I've had ye... (more)

I started going to Camellia's Sin Tea Parlor soon after it opened in 2005. At the time I was a student at Dickinson College and it was a fun thing for my friends and I to do. Since graduating, I've relocated to Maryland and tried several other tea parlors and none of them have been able to compare. Just today my former college roommate and I drove about 3 hours just to have tea there! As always, it was wonderful and the customer service was outstanding! I just can't say enough about Camellia's Sin!

I really appreciated the fact that she offered a vegetarian choice of soup too! The atmosphere was Superb and we will definitely be back! Bravo Lin for such a quaint oasis from the winter cold!!!

Lynn is a wonderful hostess--warm and friendly. She knows how to make her guests feel welcome. I took my friend there for her birthday and she loved the experience. We never felt hurried or rushed. The atmosphere is quite pleasant and she knows her teas and goes out of her way to make sure you are enjoying what you are having. Her Sweetheart Truffles were outstanding. Her gift shop is interesting and varied. A wonderful place to unwind with friends.

Yesterday, I attended the 'Football Widows Tea' at this tearoom with several of my friends. We make it a habit to visit tearooms from near and afar and I have to say this is one of the best experiences we have ever had. The tea choices were many and the teapot never stayed empty. We tried as many as we liked until we 'floated away'. The Glitter and Gold (a vanilla spice) and Snowflake (coconut, almond, and cinnamon) and Nutcracker (citrus spice) were our favorites and can be purchased in the enchanting gift shop. There was a choice of soups - Borscht (beets from Lin's organic garden) and a Tuscan bean also very delicious. Scones and the lemon curd the best we ever tasted. Sandwiches and desserts were delicious as well. For more fun, we played 'Teago' which was like bingo but had an educational twist about 'tea'. The owner made sure that everyone left with a gift. Since the menu changes every month, we plan to visit this tearoom often. Thanks Lin and staff for a wonderful day.

My wife and I had celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary at this tearoom. We heard so much about it from our daughters who are regular customers. Needless to say, I was never at a tearoom (being a man) and my wife never experienced a 'tea' so we were there strictly on our daughter's recommendation. It was most delightful. The atmosphere was a little victorian but not overwhelming. The food was delicious and plentiful. I thought
I would go away still hungry but we even had to ask for a doggie bag to take home with us. The owner, Lin, was very nice and catered to our every need. We are planning to go back now as a family.

I was there with my family over the holidays for the Dicken's Tea. All I can say is wow! It was incredible down to the last detail. You can tell that the menu was well thought out and everything that we had to eat seemed to complement each other. The tea was plentiful and always coming to our table. There was a number of different varieties - it was hard to choose a favorite tea. The country victorian decor and atmosphere was all so charming and delightful and there were hats to wear too. Each table had a different table scape. Even though the place was packed and the servers were very busy, the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The owner and staff were very pleasant and personable. Many lovely and tempting items in the the gift shop as well. We can't wait to go back!

When my best friend was getting married I set up her bridal shower here. The food WAS excellent, but I found dealing with the staff to be very difficult.
We were told that we would be the only ones there that day, which we had hoped for as there were quite a few of us. Instead it was opened up to whoever could walk in. Being that it's a business and needs to make money, understandable. It was just the first in a string of bad or no communication, though.
We were also told we could take as long as we liked, but we'd been there for a bit more than an hour and the owner came out asking if she could cut the cake up to send home with us. I was very surprised, as I assumed no time limit meant no time limit, and she hadn't come to me to say she was hoping to close up. We were rushed throu... (more)

My office visited Camellia's Sin Tea Parlor as a special introductory to a new employee. I am not much of a tea drinker and had never been to a parlor before. I was skeptical, but pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the food and teas presented to us. Normally a picky eater, I found myself finishing everything that touched my plate. All of the food was homemade, with the ingredients for our soup coming directly from the owner's garden. We tried three different teas - House Tea, Earl Grey and Snowflake. We all agreed that the Snowflake was our favorite. The parlor itself was very whimsical and relaxing, as we found ourselves still carrying out our conversion long after dessert was finished. Even our lone male employee had a wonderful time.

One of my Daughter-in-law's baby shower was at Camellia's in May. It was so great, we planned the other Daughter-in-law's at the same location in September. The Tea Room was lovely, the food wonderful and the owner and staff very accomidating. The lovely gift shop was an added bonus. This was a great setting for these special affairs.
