Candleberry's has become quite a popular place for lunch; therefore, we suggest (not required, but suggested) if you are coming from out of town or have a group of 6 or more, that you call ahead for reservations to insure a table.
Candleberry's is an upscale tea room/ cafe with a distinct menu that includes authentic homemade recipes, quality ingredients, and quaint presentation offered in a cozy, intimate, charming, relaxed atmosphere.
Candleberry's is well known for our incredible, unfortgettable dessert options. In fact, we have been voted 'Frankfort's Best Place for Dessert' by the People's Choice' Awards sponsored by the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce. We continue to be devoted to offering our guests the best desserts --all homemade -- around. Each day we have an offering of desserts that are sure to put a smile on your face. Additionally, we have started serving gourmet desserts (cupcakes, brownies or Sweetie Pies... not the usual fare) starting on Wednesdays and going through Friday. These cupcakes have become a huge hit with our regulars.

Our seasonal menus receive wonderful reviews from both women and men guests. The traditional tearoom fare is there, but also a lot of heartier and interesting menu choices. Choices include, but are not limited to, a Grilled Rueben sandwich, a 'Scoop Sampler', appricot almond turkey sandwich, several heartier sandwiches, some special winter-time salads, our national known Kentucky Hot Brown, and so much more. There is something for every taste and appetite. We have really focused on healthy choices for this new menu to help those who are trying to be more health-minded in the new year.

Food: I was very impressed on my recent visit to your Tearoom. Your menu was exceptional with all the choices not usually found in a tearoom. I came for lunch (not tea) but the atmosphere, service and presentation of your normal lunch was just as elegant and delightful has a tea. Food: Having met my sister Joy from Louisville there for lunch to celebrate her birthday, was a delightful experience. The quaint atmosphere was so comfortable, and food was great along with the tea. We sat and enjoyed our time together sipping tea, and remincing about the last time we met there it was with our other sister from MA and our mom who has now gone home to be with the Lord. What a great place to build a lasting memory. |
