It's the holiday season..... and a longstanding tradition continues. The Gift Box is decorated with Christmas finery and merchandise. Infact our Annual Christmas Open House (November 4 - 7) is underway with sales all over the store. This is also the time of year when people from all over the tri-state area make their way to Candleberry's Tearoom for a holiday lunchtime treat and shopping in the Gift Box.
Candleberry's is an upscale tea room with a distinct menu that includes authentic homemade recipes, quality ingredients, and quaint presentation offered in a cozy, intimate, charming, relaxed atmosphere.
Candleberry's is well known for our homemade, unfortgettable dessert options. In fact, we have been voted 'Frankfort's Best Place for Dessert' 2009 by the People's Choice' Awards sponsored by the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce. We continue to be devoted to offering our guests the best desserts --all homemade -- around. Each day we have an offering of desserts that are sure to put a smile on your face.

Our new menu has received wonderful reviews from both women and men guests. The traditional tearoom fare is there, but also a lot of heartier and interesting menu choices. Choices include, but are not limited to, a Grilled Rueben sandwich, a 'Scoop Sampler', a three cheese and bacon Grilled Cheese sandwich, Triple-decker Zesty Club, our national known Kentucky Hot Brown, several pita-pocket sandwiches, and so much more. There is something for every taste and appetitie.

Food: My husband got a funny look on his face when I suggested we visit your tearoom. I had just seen your TV commercal and it looked like a nice place to visit. We had a wonderful lunch. When we were getting back in our car after our visit, my husband said that he would like to come back again soon. Food: I have to admit, for years I have been having lunch at the same places everyday. I am a creature of habit, and haven’t done much changing in my usual restaurants. I came to Candleberry’s on the advice of a friend who told me how good it was. They were right and I will be back often. Even though I have visited other tearooms in the area, I didn’t realize how wonderful the atmosphere of a true tearoom could be. There is a difference. |

Food: I am a member of the Kentucky National Guard. I had heard a few of the other soldiers talk about a good place to eat (your place), but I had not tried it until a few days ago. Really great food and such a relaxing place to sit down at lunchtime. I also appreciate one of your waiters saying, “We appreciate your service to our country”. I don’t get that very often. I could tell he meant it! I was told about your peanut butter pie, which you did not have the day I came (I understand your desserts change daily), but if it is as good as the “paradise pie” that I did have, I am sure I will enjoy it. I will be back and will tell others about Candleberry. |

Food: I heard about your restaurant from some ladies at my church. They told me about the donations you make to our church each month when we come for lunch. Food: My wife and I stopped by your gift shop to purchase Candleberry Candles. We have heard from friends that those candles are the best around. While we were browsing the candles, we noticed that there was a restaurant attached and we were planning to stop somewhere for lunch after our shopping. We dropped into your restaurant for lunch. My wife loved the atmosphere. I loved the menu! What a pleasant place for lunch. The Kentucky Hot Brown is excellent! I told the gentleman at the gift shop counter that we enjoyed our meal a lot, and he asked me to drop you a comment here. We didn’t take time for dessert, but as we were leaving we heard two ladies in the parking lot talking about a pie they had just eaten. They were talking about how wonderfully rich it was. Food: Candleberry’s Tearoom is everything a tearoom should be! I have visited a lot of so called “tearooms”, that were nothing more than a mediocere café or diner, one especially in this same town. But Candleberry’s Tearoom knows how to provide that tearoom feel and atmosphere. We got the best of both worlds, the café style menu and the tearoom atmosphere and service. I just simply love the quaint and cozy atmosphere. Elegant dishes, wonderfully delightful food. Service is very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed! |

Food: A friend introduced me to tearooms a few years ago, and I've visited various tearooms every few weeks ever since. I've found that it's the perfect place for tea, lunch, dessert and meeting up with friends. The prices are very reasonable, the selection is one of the best I have every found – tea and food. The young lady that runs the place is a terrific cook and makes the best pies around. I will be back to Candleberry Tearoom often. I just wish I lived close enough to make a weekly visit. |

Food: Iam a man, a big man. Honestly, I didn’t think I would find something satisfying to eat in a “tearoom”. My wife kept wanting me to try it with her, but I hesitated for months. I finally gave in, you know you do need to keep the little lady happy. To my utter amazement, I enjoyed the food and even the atmosphere. It didn’t even bother me to eat on a pretty lace tablecloth. Once my meal got to the table that was all I saw. The food is filling and absolutely wonderful. I ordered the Reuben Sandwich, soup and potato salad. This has to be the best Reuben around. Food: Had the opportunity to eat lunch at Candleberry yesterday with my friends. One of my friends chose your tearoom since she had been before. I had not heard of this place until she invited me. The serving staff are very friendly and accomodating; the music and lighting set a relaxing mood right away; the food is delicious and varied; the deserts are wonderful; and the gift shop is fun. Food: My husband and I used to live in Frankfort and came often to enjoy lunch at Candelberry's. Now we live an hour away but still come as often as we can. It's worth the trip! The owners and their staff are genuinely friendly and provide thoughtful service. The food is very good -- be sure to save room for those terrific desserts. And if the men out there think tea rooms are just for ladies, think again. Candleberry's offers a wide variety of hearty sandwiches. Their Kentucky Hot Brown is simply the best! Another bonus is that you can purchase tins of loose tea to take home to enjoy later. They have LOTS of varieties available. |

Food: What a delightful experience! My daughter and I came for High Tea in this lovely, comfortable atmosphere and enjoy our High Tea very much. The sandwiches, scones and little desserts were delicious and there were a wide variety of teas available. I had the mushroom bisque soup, and got one to go when we were leaving. Wonderful!! Food: This tearoom is a great place for lunch! The dining room is quaint and well decorated. One unique touch is that you eat and drink out of mis-matched dishes. It may sound disorganized, but it is actually charming and fun to compare your dishes with with varied beautiful floral patterns. The presentation of the food on these dishes is very attractive and appetizing. The food here is excellent, but the ambiance is the main attraction for me. One of the many standouts is the varied of homemade desserts. Every time I go, there are new ones to try. I have yet to get a dessert that wasn’t simply wonderful. The coconut pie is my favorite, but there are others that are a must try. The owners and their staff are friendly and professional. I recommend this place unconditionally. |

Food: My sister told me she was going to surprise me and take me to a special place she takes all her out of town quests, since moving to Frankfort a year ago. I was expecting a tour of the State Capitol or something like that. However, we ventured a little out of town and found a nice tea shop. I was so very pleased, it was wonderful, the people were so friendly and the food was way more than I can describe. I have never been so satisfied with a lunch in my life. Food: My daughter & I had lunch at this charming spot last Friday. Wonderful experience! We enjoyed a pot of Apricot tea, a fabulous meal called a Candleberry Sampler which is a piece of their quiche, a cup of tomato soup and a homemade muffin. But the real show stopper for me was the coconut merrigue pie! It was the best pie I've ever had. I will look forward to returning on my next visit to Frankfort. I also love the gift shop. We spent about an hour in the gift shop following our meal. |

Food: I have been to many tea rooms. This is one of my favorites. The food was great, the tea was wonderful, and the service was like none other! Lunch is served in a café style. But the atmosphere and tea service is definitely like a quality tea house. There is a good selection of loose leaf teas to choose from. My group tried two different kinds. There is a good selection of desserts to choose from. I met the Owner. She is a young lady, but her cooking shows a lot of experience. |

Food: My group visited your tearoom about a month ago for a High Tea. We had such a fantastic time. The tier trays were wonderful. The loose leaf tea selection was great. I noticed that you also have a lunch menu different from the high teas, so I came back for a regular lunch. I was pleasantly surprised to see that you had a new menu from what I saw on my visit and that it had a lot of things to choose from. The lunch was as good as the high tea. I will visit as often as I can. |

Food: My Husband and I attended the Chamber of Commerce People's Choice Award event last Thurday. We sampled your desserts. The gentleman that served us told us that the desserts were even better at lunch time since they were served warm fresh from the oven. We came by on Friday. Food: Hello to all of your staff at Candleberry! I visited your fine establishment this week (on Thursday) with a group of 5th graders from Livermore Elementary in McLean County. Most all of us experienced a KY Hot Brown for the first time while dining with you that day. We were all SO impressed! Your staff members greeted us warmly at the door, and the service could not be beat. We were treated like family and felt at home. The food was outstanding. It's a tough sell to convince 5th graders to try something new, but our kids had such a great time and really loved the food. They are still talking about the pie (imagine that! ha ha!). What an experience! We would love to bring students every year and make it a tradition. All of the adults on our trip remarked that it was such a blessing to be able to sit down and have a nice meal and be treated with such kind, spiritual hospitality. Hats off to you! We very humbly thank you for the one-of-a-kind moment our kids and us could spend with you. |

We were there at lunchtime and it was busy. The Owner was serving us because the normal server(s) had called in ill. We received excellent service. She and her staff were attentive to our needs.
