Variety: I've been to a lot of 'Tea Houses' and I adore this place!! Warm and charming in it's appearance with high ceilings, floral patterns and large windows that let in lots of natural light. The tea selection is quite simply, exceptional, It's all loose leaf, NO bags... as it should be. The food is all fresh and beautifully presented. I must single out the Cream of Tomato soup for being so good it's almost addictive. The staff are all cheerful and attentive. There is a cute little section as you enter that sells all of the teas as well as tons of tea related items; pots, cups, cookies lemon curd.....you get the idea. The ONLY thing negative that I could say is it can be a little loud when the room is at full capacity.( I think it has something to do with an intimate space with a high ceiling). ... (more) |

Variety: My husband had a delighful afternoon tea at Chado near Beverly Hills. It is a very nice urban style atmosphere. The sandwiches were excellent! We met the owner and she was very kind and knowledgeable about her great teas! We will return. |

Variety: I had a very nice experience at Chado. I met a few girlfriends here for tea and the staff was very accomodating. The food is not super high-end or fancy, but it is tasty. Their scones and chado cream are some of the best I've tasted. The tea is fabulous! Decor is minimal, but that is fine if you're not into the super girly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. |
