Variety: To be fair I am a pretty big tea enthusiast...with that said I thought this place was lovely and enjoyable. I have been there twice with all the ladies in my family. I loved the variety of teas but thought the food was only ok. It is a great size inside, not cramped but still private and 'special' feeling. Service is very friendly and I think they have an excellent gift shop. |

Variety: It took me two months to get my boyfriend to go to a tea shop I picked this one since we would be driving from phoenix..I regret every minute of it. The tea cups wear old and faded. The food was old and flavorless. The tea was border line cold and took ages to recieve. The hostess did not check on us even once. Please save your money. |

Tearoom Response
Though I do not recall any of our teacups being faded, they are vintage antique cups which are purposefully collected to reflect a vintage atmosphere. Since guests pick out their teacup to enjoy their tea, if they are not happy with their choice we will gladly exchange it for another. All of our food is prepared fresh daily in our kitchen. Our teapots are filled with properly heated water from a special hot water heater. It would be very unusual for the tea to be cold. However, when guests linger enjoying their time, we instruct our servers to be diligent about refilling and checking teapots. If by chance, you had been chatting and your teapot had cooled beyond your liking, our server would have been more than happy to replenish your teapot.

Variety: They advertised, 'Fruit' with the Duchess tea...For the four of us, they provided 16 dirty and sticky grapes...that is it! I'm surprised they didn't include kale in the ad, since one piece of kale was on the tray for garnish!! |

Tearoom Response
As our menu states, the Duchess Tea is served with a fruit garnish which is currently a small bundle of grapes placed on the tier with the scones. The grapes are cleaned and prepared according to health code specifications. The garnish on the sandwich tier is pieces of parsley positioned throughout the finger sandwiches.
