Charlotte's Tea Room

Charlotte's is amazing. Make your husbands/boyfriends/sons bring you for v-day (and introduce them to Mary and Amanda, and tell them that's the type of girl you want for a daughter in law!), or bring your girlfriends for a completely fabulous experience. Make sure you try their special seasonal teas while they last!

Finally made it to Charlotte's! What a treat, the tea for two is the best deal in town, endless amounts of yummy food and a bottomless pot of tea. The service is great, attentive and charming. We will return!

Had lunch here last weekend & talked to the owner today about my sister's bridal shower this spring. Love the place, love the food, love the vibe.

My mother's 70th birthday party was so wonderful! Thank you for such a fabulous day! Our luncheon was the best! Food was amazing, dessert ...fabulous and the service was the BEST! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Couldn't think of a better way to celebrate!

Finally had an opportunity to visit Charlotte's Tea Room and have tea and lunch with a friend! Fabulous experience, and I'm so glad I went! The food was delish, the tea was perfect! Above all, the service was over the top! Friendly, knowledgeable, and did not feel rushed at all. Think I could've sat there all day. (wish I had the time to do so). I can't wait to go back with friends, family, or even by myself to have a spot of tea and a bite to eat.

Thank you everyone at the beautiful Charlotte's Tea Room! We had a wonderful leisurely lunch yesterday. The English Chicken Salad with rice noodles and Asian sesame dressing was delicious (& HUGE!) Our waitress, Mary, was so sweet & kind. She let us peek in each of the uniquely themed rooms & choose where we wanted to sit. She even allowing my friend to change her tea after discovering her 'daring' unknown choice didn't appeal to her. Thank you so much! (My African Rooibos tea with orange overtones was LOVELY!)
Charlotte's owner (Joanne) and staff are always so hospitable and kind. I only know them through the tea house, but they have always been beyond kind to me as a customer. We even had a Bat Mitzvah party catered there several years ago, which involved many personal e... (more)ncounters. In a business that is known for it's high turnover in staff, it tells you something about the owner when you see the same waitresses working for her year after year. Obviously I'm not the only one who thinks she is a nice person!

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Charlotte's Tea Room. Its the perfect place for 'girls day out'--I always bring my mom in when she is in town. I brought one of my girlfriend's there today. Mary was our waitress, she's just the sweetest. I had the curry chicken sandwiches and the berry crumble a la mode, both are to die for! On a such a cold day, it was nice to escape into Charlotte's for a pot of tea!

Just returned from another wonderful experience at Charlottes with a good friend I'd waited too long to get together with. As usual, received service with a smile and wonderful food. Talk about a place where you are always welcomed home! My favorite, favorite place. You guys know I'll be back...I am so glad to have you so close to home. One of Warwick's treasures!

The food is excellent, the place is georgeous, however, the owner and her staff are arrogant and very rude. I also discovered that many other people from Warwick had similar experiences. I will likely not be back there again which is unfortunate.

Can't say enough good things about this tea room. The staff is always charming, the rooms, yes three beautifully appointed rooms, are always a delight to the eyes, (Christmas here is magical), and the food...so delicious. I enjoy every visit as if it's my first time. They never rush you and the calming atmosphere puts you into another world!

This is a tea room with FLAIR! The decor is beautiful, the food delicious, and the servers are sweet, friendly and just plain fun. We had a fabulous time. I plan to visit often.

Thank you Charlotte's for a wonderful time this past weekend. Our lunch was terrific - delicious luncheon, great service, and such beautiful atmosphere! I LOVED the teapot on top of the Blue Willow Tree. My daughter is still talking about the diamonds on the Garden Room Tree. The gingerbread ornaments on the Victorian Tree were amazing! I am so glad we bought some of the Holiday Tea to enjoy at home. Charlotte's is a special place for our special times!

We had my daughter's baby shower here yesterday, and they did an outstanding job! the rooms were decorated beautifully for the holiday season, the teas and food were delicious, the staff did an excellent job, and from start to finish, the staff and the management were so easy to work with!!!

My sisters & I hosted a birthday party here for our mother. We sipped tea, enjoyed the their scrumptious tea sandwiches, & lingered over their delicious desserts. We had a relaxing & memorable time. I will recommend Charlotte's to everyone I can.

So, everyone of my family members were in town for Thanksgiving Weekend & we ALL descended upon Charlotte's and what a great time we had! Thank you Mary & Amanda. We arrived with out reservations - tables were moved, plates were shuffled and we all felt right at home. Within minutes my whole family felt right at home. They had a baby shower in progress and still without skipping a beat made all the adjustments for another 12 people...without a reservation! What a great time we had. The butternut squash soup was amazing as was a sampling of the new Holiday Tea. Wow!!!

Looking so much forward to bringing my aunt & grandmother to lunch tomorrow. Every time they visit they must go to Charlotte's. I am so glad we can share such a great place. Thank you.

I try to find an excuse to go to Charlotte's whenever I can. The food is delicious and the staff always attentive. I came with a group of ladies from my church last week. A good time was had by all.

I had the most amazing time today at Charlotte's Tea Room. The chicken pot pie was delicious. The scones were so moist & flavorful. Real CLOTTED CREAM...not a substitute like other tea rooms I've visited.The mud slide brownie was so good I brought two more home. Our waitress was sweet AND fun. Truly, one of my best times ever. This restaurant was recommended to us & I must say THANK YOU! What a great place!!! The food was super & their Halloween Decorations are GREAT!!! It's a beautiful old house decorated as a haunted mansion. (Loved the skeletons in the library) I had the ham & brie & apple sandwich. It was so delicious I brought one home to the hubby. What a treat! The apple scones were devine. The apple crumble was amazing. Thank you for a great and such a surprise, lunch in Warwick, the KING of Apple Country!!!

How do you say AMAZING? Charlotte's Tea Room! What a special place. I go as often as I can. The food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious. Their chicken pot pies are to die for. The pumpkin scones are soooo delicious. I had the apple crumble today...warm with the best vanilla ice cream in the world. Thank you for yet another WONDERFUL meal! (The Cranberry Autumn Tea is a seasonal favorite of mine.)

We came to Charlotte's to celebrate life long friendships, good health and a love of life. (Plus we love to visit tea rooms) The atmosphere was gorgeous and the food delicious. We ate in the Library, but the Blue Willow Room and the Garden Room were equally as beautiful. (Next time) My apple scones were the best I've ever had.
The owner and the staff were very helpful and took the time to help us plan the rest of our day.

I spent time researching where to apple pick not too far from Manhattan & when I searched, this tea room came to my attention. My friends & I had a wonderful lunch - the best scones ever - and the best day ever! If you want a day trip for fun & relaxation - this is the place! We WILL return.

As a surprise my friends brought me there to celebrate my 50th birthday. I had always wanted to experience a Tea House and was excited when we drove up to Charlotte's Tea Room... I thought the tea and finger sandwich assortment was very good and enjoyabe (a nice vsriety). The Pear salad was fantastic. Greatly enjoyed it. There were seven of us and majority of us were very pleased. With this being said (and I would consider driving an hour to come back to Charlottes) I would like to mention; however, a few things that were disappointing. First,I felt the service wasn't up to par. She didn't clear our plates in a timely manner, didn't offer to explain anything to (the five of) us that were there for the first time, and didn't offer us any additional tea or coffee at the time she took our des... (more)sert order. It was only when we were about finish with our desserts did she ask us that question. We did not know that we could have had refills. Also, we had one order of clotted cream & lemon curd and when we ordered more we were told you did not have anymore and it was only 1:00pm. Lastly, my friend who set up the reservations realized, after we left, that they did not put a candle in my dessert in honor of my birthday and she was quite upset about that because she discussed this with them about bringing in her own birthday cake and was told they would charge her an additional $35 to slice and serve (that's ridiculous within itself) but as another option they assured her they would present my dessert with a candle to honor the special occassion so she agreed to that but they forgot to do it. Again, we didn't hate Charlotte's instead we liked it overall but thought if you were concerned of your service, staff and overall trying to strive for complete customer satisfaction you would want to know about these things that were noticeable to your guest.

My girlfriends & I travel to tea rooms in the tri state area. We live a couple of hours away from Charlotte's and this was our third time to visit. We LOVE Charlotte's! The food is delicious, beautifully presented, and we always receive such a warm welcome. Never rushed, always inviting. Thank you.

Warwick is my favorite town. Charlotte's is my favorite restaurant.

Came to Warwick for the farmer's market on Sunday and Charlotte's was recommended to us by another visitor.
We both had the 'trophy wife' with pitchers of ice tea. The dessert selection included lemon squares and pineapple upside down cake - both too die for!
What a super place! We will be back.

Three months ago, after having a great meal at Charlotte's, my mother and I booked my sister's Bridal Luncheon. All who attended enjoyed the great food and wonderful service. Joanne's attention to detail is unsurpassed. We had fresh flowers, matching napkins and special china brought out just for us. They even created a new sandwich in honor of MY grandmother! Thank you all for the V.I.P. treatment! See you soon with pics from the wedding.

My group of friends and I have been to many tea rooms. We have always found them to be very accommodating of larger groups. Not so of Charlotte's. The food was good, but not as good as Calico Rose in Hamburg. The staff was rushed and not very friendly. Maybe we just picked the wrong day. Maybe the other reviewers haven't been around much. We all decided that this was not worth the ride.

My husband and I found this place by accident not knowing where to go for lunch. The service is great, food is excellent and decor is very charming and warm. We were glad that we found this place.

I am proud to call Warwick NY my new town, and so very happy to be able to enjoy my new favorite restaurant whenever I want to. Today, my friends and I enjoyed the wonderful food and celebrate another great day while dining on the porch. All decked out with vintage 1940s tablecloths, fun china, - just the right amount of kitch. Food was great, ice tea was cold, and the blueberry crumble was divine. Thank you Charlotte's - my neighborhood haunt.

Took my mom here to celebrate her 94th Birthday. We had an early reservation and enjoyed the High Tea. Sandwiches were DELICIOUS, presentation beautiful, and our server was attentive and charming.
We enjoyed every minute of our time here and plan to come back very soon.(And we live in PA)

Next to Disney World, this is my favorite place! My friend and I (both on the downhill slide to our 40's) try to get together here once a month to catch up and enjoy delicious food and the wonderful atmosphere. The entire staff is fantastic, but hands down, Mary, Queen of Scones, is our favorite! They're usually quite busy, but we've never felt rushed or intruded upon when catching up sometimes carries on for quite a while.

My niece, who's turning ten on Sunday, will be starting her birthday celebration blitz at Charlotte's for the third year in a row at her request. We hope to celebrate here for many years to come! She's somewhat shy, but they add always add a special little touch without making her feel umcomfortable.

The themed rooms are beautiful; the feminine garden room, the elegant blue room, and the slightly more masculine library offer something for everyone.

The Tea for Two is the perfect amount of food, with such delicious little tea sandwiches, scones and dessert. Their quiches are also quite tasty, although when I've gone nuts and ordered one in addition to the Tea for Two, my tummy, while quite happy, was filled to bursting!

I cannot say enough good things about Charlottes! Keep up the good work!

They were very busy today and yet made room for us...a party of 5. Thank you Kelsey. Reservations are a good thing, but they did their best to accommodate us. We had a great table, didn't feel rushed, lunch was wonderful. My girls had Wee Teas, my sister and I had the Tea for Two. All sooooo delicious. We celebrated my daughter's piano recital. Our waitress brought out the most amazing Fairy Cupcakes for dessert. They truly were the 'icing on the cupcake'. Thank you for making our celebration so special. We will be back.

I must say that I'm a bit old fashion - I don't correspond with emails or use Facebook, but I simply must review this charming tea room in a manner I am not accustomed to since I had positively one of the MOST wonderful afternoons there today.
To partake in High Tea at Charlotte's is an experience. I have traveled extensively and this establishment is more than a tea room or even a restaurant. It is a respite from our busy lives. Three themed rooms grace this 200 year old elegant home built by a minister. Each room has it's own china - including the porch, which was much too hot to sit today. So my party and I enjoyed the air conditioning and some cool lemonade. The scones were the BEST I have had, the salad crisp and fresh and the pineapple upside down cake better than I make.
Can't say enough good things about Charlotte's. You must try it yourself. I highly recommend this experience.

Had a wonderful 'Tea for Two' on Friday with my grand daughter. It was outstanding, our waitress was delightful and the entire tea was so well done. The scones are the best I've ever had....They have after one visit made me a loyal customer.

We had our Girl Scout leader-daughter tea yesterday. It was fantastic and everyone was really impressed. The staff was wonderful and very professional.I can't wait to come with just the adults!

Hosted my daughters' 6th birthday party in The Alice Room. It was enchanting. Flamingos perched in a Christmas tree, colorful paper lanterns, a polka dot tablecloth, and an array of mismatched tea cups & plates. Truly a MAD HATTER tea party!

What an amazing experience! Everything was wonderful and beyond my expectations. We arrived without reservations and even though they were booked, accommodated us. We enjoyed our afternoon outside on the porch. I had the Queen's Tea and Paris tea...delicious!! Thank you again for 'squeezing' us in. Even though I live an hour away I am definitely coming back.

Last week I was pleasantly surprised when I had lunch here and they were celebrating The Queen's Birthday with her favorites. I had the most delectable crumpets!

My friends & I drove from Pennsylvania to try out this tea room. My only regret - I wish it was closer. Their food is very good and nicely presented. My friends had The Queens Tea and I had The Trophy Wife Salad. (How cute is that?) They have a very good selection of teas and other drinks as well. We tried a couple of desserts - the bread pudding is out of this world - and a very delicious carrot cake. Well worth the trip. The town is very nice & has some great shops and antiquing. We will definitely return!

This Tea Room is lovely. The menu is interesting AND delicious. Their events are fun! The server I had was sweet and very knowledgeable about Harney & Sons Teas. She recommended a couple of teas and she was spot on! Exactly what I wanted! Their version of High Tea was so wonderful, I can't wait to return. The selection of sandwiches looked like a bouquet of flowers on a plate. Thank you Charlotte's! You are what a tea room should be!

My group came from 1 hour away. I know the Warwick area, but had never been to this tea room.
We were a party of 8. Our teas were delicious - we sampled 8 - and our luncheon superb. A diverse menu, yet still in keeping with the tea room theme. Our server was attentive and sweet.
The decor is tasteful and so charming. (I adore the blue willow!)
You will not be disappointed. This place is a winner! I highly recommend it!

Had my 50th Birthday party here a couple of years ago. It was wonderful. And my quests are still talking about it. Met my girlfriend here for lunch just the other day. The food was delicious - as always - and the ambiance warm and inviting. I'm hooked on Joanne's quiche.

I visited the tea house for the first time yesterday, for a Bridal Shower. And even though it is 45 minutes from my house, I plan on going back and/or booking any upcoming events here.

From the minute I walked in, the set up was welcoming. I LOVED everything from the blue dishes on the walls to the china on the tables to the milk glass our scones were served in. Our servers were very sweet, and made sure our teapots were always full. Our bride cant eat gluten, and the tea house was accomodating to her dietary needs. Cant wait to go back, i can tell why it's rated number 1!!

I picked my grand daughter up from preschool today and took her out for lunch to her favorite place! Our waitress made us feel so comfortable and even helped me order for the wee one! We loved the vanilla tea Mary suggested! Now my grand daughter and I have a weekly date!

Was with a group of neighbors for our monthly lunch out. What a wonderful time we all had. Food was great, service was charming, and we never felt rushed. (I think we arrived at 12:00 and left at 2:30) Thank you ladies for such a lovely, lovely spot.

My girlfriends and I always celebrate a couple of birthdays together, and this year a new arrival. We usually go to a tea room closer to me, but this year we wanted to try something new. From the moment I walked through the front door, I was smitten.
We were seated in 'The Library'. The decor is charming and comfortable. Our group was large and our food was served quickly and efficiently. I had a cup (actually a huge mug ) of the sweet potato soup and the spinach quiche. Some of my group had salads and their tea sandwiches. The presentation of everything was so beautiful.
I myself will not wait till next year to sample more of their menu.
I've made plans to go back with my mother.

Just enjoyed a cocktail party catered by Charlotte's Tea Room sponsored by The Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce . Can you say wonderful? Still keeping within their their 'niche', I enjoyed their signature curried chicken and olive & cheddar sandwiches, but was pleasantly surprised with shrimp and crab cakes. Not only was everything delicious, but the buffet table was so beautifully presented.

You guys are wonderful! Just booked a baby shower for my sister in law after enjoying my first 'Tea for Two'

I guess you could call me a foodie...I love restaurants and I REALLY love tea rooms! Charlotte's is the best of both worlds. While some tea rooms are store fronts, Charlotte's is housed in the most AMAZING Victorian house in the most quaint village I have ever been. They have THREE wonderfully themed rooms - each with their own china and ambiance. The menu is diverse and delicious. They are 'THE REAL DEAL'. (Not just open for reservations only...they are there for you whenever you decide , 'I just want to be pampered today.)
What a gem! Thank you for such a wonderful respite!

Stumbled upon this place while in Warwick for a dr.'s appt thought it was the best kept secret until I found out all my friends already knew about it! Now were looking fwd to all coming into gether and telling more friends. It's that kinda place!

There is no where better to warm up on a cold winter's day then at Charlotte's Tea Room. I enjoyed a large pot of the Vanilla tea, while enjoying the assorted tea sandwiches. Our waitress, Mary, certainly is the queen of scones! Can't wait to come back when the weather is nice and the porch is open!

Today was my first time at Charlotte's and it was great! Can't wait to have my twin sister's baby shower at Charlotte's in May.

While the food here is always consistently delicious, I have to admit, lunch at Charlotte's is like tuning into our favorite reality show. Samantha's back from Ireland, Mary's getting married, Hayley's going to college, Lynne moved to California, and they have a Valentine's tree, and chocolate mint tea! There's never a dull moment here, but one thing remains the same: the great food, ambiance, and service. Can't wait to tune in next week!!

Everything here is superb! Service is excellent, you're always treated like you're the only one there, even when the place is packed. Great selection of teas and food, there's something for everyone!
