Charlotte's Tea Room

My friends and I celebrated a birthday yesterday at Charlotte's. Our tea sandwiches were not only delicious, but so beautiful! The scones were the best I've ever had. My peach crumble was amazing!
Probably one of the best times we've all had! Thank you Charlotte's. We'll be back soon.

The food was amazing with each of the three rooms not only had a theme of their own, but their own china!

As someone who prides herself in having a refined sense of taste I can say with the utmost of confidence that Charlotte's does not disappoint on any level.
I and a close friend had lunch at Charlotte's last Sunday, and I was admittedly timid that it could not live up to my high expectations. Fortunately I was proven wrong time and again, first by the beautiful decor and charming waiter ;) and then by the most delicious quiche I have ever had.

We have been going there for years, and will continue to do so for many more! I have read many reviews related to this tea room, & for those who did not leave a positive review, maybe the problems that you had were more related to your personality, and not those of the tea room. I had to run all my local errands today before the weekend when EVERYONE comes to town. What was at the top of list? Chicken Pot Pie at Charlotte's! So delicious, and service was great as usual. Picked up a tin of Cranberry tea for my weekend at home! I guess it's ok to share my favorite place with tons of tourists ; ) I know the staff will always remain sweet and kind, and the food will consistently be deee lish! Have a great weekend!

Lunch was a amazing. Service - excellent. Their seasonal tea - Cranberry Autumn - thank you Harney & Sons - was delicious. Loved! The potato leek soup & the apple dumpling dessert topped with vanilla ice cream.
Can't say enough about this great restaurant! I come here often & am always wowed!

After 4+ years of frequently enjoying Charlotte's Tea Room with various female friends and family members, I finally got my husband to accompany me! He was immediately impressed with the decor and the warm greeting of our waiter, Guy. Mary, my usual server and all around sweetheart, stopped at our table to meet my husband and spent some time chatting with us. Everyone in the place makes you feel like a valued customer as well as a friend!

When it came time to place our order, my husband left it up to me. I requested the Hot Cinnamon Spice tea knowing he would love it, and I wasn't wrong. He's not really a tea guy but I think I'm going to have to pick up some to make at home now. He kept mentioning how delicious it was! We split the Tea for Two, and at first he was skeptical th... (more)at it would be enough food, but after all of the delicious sandwiches, Mary's amazing raisin scones, and dessert (he had the lava cake, I had the caramel apple pastry - both came with creamy vanilla ice cream) he was stuffed! That's quite a feat as he is 6'2' and 210 lbs and has a tremendous appetite! He thought everything was absolutely delicious and that the service was perfectly paced and very attentive without being smother-y. I was relieved because I wanted him to like Charlotte's just as much as I do! Now he understands my love of the place, and I don't think I'll have any trouble convincing him to go back with me!

This was our first visit to Warwick, NY, and we know now what a treasure trove this community is!

Charlotte's Tea Room was a lovely excursion for three ladies looking for a genteel, yet casual luncheon. I was accompanied by 2 teenage (16) girls who readied themselves for the event by primping and donning billowy dresses. We were greeted by Joann, the Proprietor, and her son Guy, our server. Although there were several lovely-themed rooms to choose from, we opted for the outside porch setting, taking in the remainder of the summer's warm breezes.

The menu choices were ample and our servings generous. The girls each opted for The Emperer's New Salad, while I chose a Peach Gazpacho and side salad with raspberry vinaigrette. We shared a lovely plate of assorted tea sandwich... (more)es, and two full pots of chocolate mint tea. The girls are now converts to tea!!!

We saved room for treats and as teens are want to, they chose the chocolate chip lava cake and glowed with delight with each warm bite. I cherished my slice of strawberry rhubarb pie, with rich fresh ice cream. I could not think of a better way to celebrate the end of another wonderful summer.

Charlotte's Tea Room is a treat! The experience addresses all senses from the charmingly decorated rooms to the classic but light offerings. We were made to feel welcome to linger and enjoy the afternoon and felt truly fortunate to have had the opportunity.

We have already planned our next excursion, which will include Charlotte's, apple picking and and evening at the Drive-in.

I have been a regular customer of Charlotte's for 8 years. Having never written a review before this, today I felt compelled to. The restaurant was 'hoppin' today. Busy, busy, busy. My party was attended to, our food was delicious as always,and came out to our table in a timely fashion. Gotta love Mary. She was charming as usual. What a wonderful place! I always feel like I am at home....Thank you! It doesn't get any better than this!

What a delightfully, delicious Tea we had at Charlotte's Tea House. My two year old granddaughter, SABRINA, just loved her little heart shaped tea sandwiches. My daughter, MELISSA, really enjoyed her peach gazpacho soup, as well as my dear cousin, KATHY,
and I truly enjoyed every morsel of food as well as the delicious 'wedding tea'. We will gladly return. :) ROBERTA M.

Met my friends for our annual summer get together. Charlotte 's is the perfect venue for a girls day out; never rushed, delicious food, great tea, impeccable service (Mary got married since last summer and had pictures to show!) and the atmosphere is so calming. Wish I had the time to come here more often. Nice to see things here are still the same...PERFECT!

I had a 'mini' shower at Charlotte's on the porch. We ordered off the menu & had a WONDERFUL time! Great selection! Everything was fresh, & delicious. Thank you ladies for such a special day and such a GREAT time! I will remember this always!

Just had another lovely lunch at Charlotte's. It was a beautiful day and we sat outside to enjoy our Queen's Tea. The cucumber sandwiches are divine and I could eat those scones all day long! :~)

I'm not quite sure what those with negative reviews are talking about, as my experience at Charlotte's was nothing other than lovely. It was a great choice for a ladies' lunch and 25th birthday celebration. The staff was exceptionally attentive to both food allergies (they welcomed our gluten-free bread) and the 2 year old in our party. The food and tea were delicious, the space was extremely clean and the special occasion was well-worth the trip from New York City. We'll all be sure to suggest this tea room to friends and families.

Visited Charlotte's this week with a friend. We had a delightful time as usual. The weather was gorgeous so we sat on the porch. We spent a couple of hours in a dream-like state listening to the birds and soaking up the charm of Warwick. We feasted on an assortment of sandwiches, all delicious, dessert and, of course, tea (Jasmine this time). The service was prompt and more than courteous - warm and friendly. Of course we'll return again and again. Thank you.

A nice spot in every way. I Had the pleasure of attending a baby shower last month at this tea room and was thrilled to finally try it. I live in Vernon but pass thru Warwick often but had not made a point to stop in - i just visited again today with 2 girlfriends and we all really liked it - nice setting, sweet wait staff and yes, great tea - i have had tea at The Plaza in Manhattan but left there hungry. Not so here. We had to take a box with 2 scones leftover and lucky me ended up with them - i just had 1 and thought to write this review. Stop in to this place if you are in the area. A nice experience. We agree we will go back soon

This place is beautiful. The perfectly designed interior is offset by the 'old-soul' staff who will make you feel like you have stepped back into a more gentile time. The food is varied, filling, and attractively presented; the waitresses happily offer their guidance and suggestions from course to course. At the close of every meal, I am given the bill without having to wait an extended time for it, and am told at that time to stay as long as I like. I often even leave my car in their lot so I can walk into town to shop! Thank you for being the real deal, Charlotte's. I'll be coming as long as you're in Warwick.

What a wonderful little gem of a place. As soon as you enter, the amazing atmosphere and very friendly staff make you feel so welcome. The food quality is excellent and there is a fabulous variety on offer. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who visits the beautiful town of Warwick.

So welcoming and cozy - a room for every mood. A great selection of teas and treats. My daughter and I have had a tradition of sharing tea and lunch on her last day of school -since she started kindergarden ....she is in 6th grade and we haven't missed one yet.

What a wonderful place! We happened upon this tea room on a recent visit to family. They live in Goshen and we went to Warwick to shop and eat -- it's a great town for a day trip. I eat far too many meals out for business reasons and the warmth and atmosphere, not to mention the terrific food made this feel like the best home made meal. My sister-in -law had the pannini, and I would order that next time ..I had a great asparagus quiche. I am not a tea drinker, but I could have sat and relaxed on their porch all afternoon. I have to add, I cannot imagine why someone would leave such bad reviews (just looked at a few recent reviews most great but a few not great) I would go back next time we are in the area.

I have not been to Charlotte's since February, and I was reminded today, just how much I have been missing their amazing curried chicken salad tea sandwiches. What a super place, friendly staff, lovely setting, and of course the food. I have been to many other tea rooms, but have to say, this is my all around favorite. It was too hot to sit on the porch today -- we sat in the Library - but I hope to be back again soon and dine alfreco! Thanks to our waitress Mary...we talked about her vintage apron collection...she wears a differnet one everyday. Totally charming.

Just got back from another outstanding afternoon tea at Charlotte's. My friend and I have been making a point to come here at least once a month since Charlotte's was located in a smaller space just down the road. The tea sandwiches are always fresh and delicious (must try to figure out how they make those cheese olive ones... I could live on 'em!), the scones are incredible (cranberry today, yay!) and the staff... well, you just wanna take them home with you! So sweet! Even with as busy as the tearoom has become, we are never rushed as we dally over our yummies and chat on endlessly. Of course, the icing on the cake is the decor of the place. It's so pretty with each room having it's own unique theme that is beautifully executed down to the most minor details.

I'm looking f... (more)orward to coming back in a few weeks for my niece's annual birthday tea. They treat her like royalty, and though she's turning a wise, mature 11 this year, she has told us this is something she'll never outgrow. And as always, we'll make sure to have reservations... when there's something this wonderful out there, a person has to expect that it's not going to be a secret for very long.

So happy Charlotte's is doing so well and I'm hoping they'll be around for decades to come!

This is a great place for a nice, peaceful lunch. Very charming. I went with an old friend a few weeks ago and we enjoyed the Tea for Two in front room called the Blue Willow Room...it came served on a pretty tiered stand. Lots of thought in the small details and a good variety. We hope to visit again soon and eat in The Garden Room.

Time after time this delightful restaurant delivers a stellar experience. I had been visiting monthly with a group of girlfriends but we missed the past few months. We went again last week and it was again a delight. My personal fave is the Emperor's Salad. But save room for the mudslide brownies and try their 'vanilla commoro' decaf tea. Thanks to the owner for always making us feel especially welcomed.

My son took me to the tea room.for mothers day. It was the most wonderful experience! The food, setting, and staff were top notch. I plan on making a drive to visit again soon!

I have been coming to Charlotte's for years, and have come to regard it as a 'home away from home' of sorts. I am always greeted warmly and treated with neighborly kindness and respect. Living in a small town means that you have to be friendly to one another in order to enjoy the real benefits that come from having your neighbors be your customers as well. Judging by Charlotte's obvious success, they manage to do this and then some. I hope that Charlotte's is around for a very long time to come, because in an increasingly cold and often bitter world, it's such a treasure to find a place that embodies the love and charm of a good friend.

I have enjoyed coming to Charlotte's for 6 years now. I have brought my mom, my sisters, my dear friends, my boyfriend, who is now my husband. We ALL love this place! There is something for everybody...their menu is extensive - the food is sooo delicious. This place has become a Sullivan Family 'go to' for anything worth celebrating - Birthdays, Mother's Day, or just any day you want to feel special. Thank you for such a special place where we can all feel special.

I have been here twice with my daughter. The first time we had a nice tea and sandwiches on a rainy day. We did not have a reservation and this was not a problem. Our waitress was cordial and pleasant. The food was decent and the tea was good. The second time we had tea and lunch, we had two different servers. One was pleasant and warm and the other young lady was a bit more aloof if not seemingly unapproachable. The little pound cake that was served with the tea was dry and the curry chicken salad croissant was okay but the croissant was also a little dry. The atmosphere in Charlotte's is pretty and I liked the tea pot and cups/saucers they used. However, the overall feeling of the place was not hospitable to me. I felt like we should just drink our tea and eat our lunch so we could just pay the bill and get out of everyone's way. I am not sure I would go back which is unfortunate because there are not many tea rooms in the area.

Stopped here on a whim with a friend after a shopping trip! The tea sandwiches were very good (especially the cucumber and curry chicken salad) the scone was also very good! And I definitely recommend the blueberry crumble dessert! Charlotte's will definitely be expecting me again for some afternoon tea! :)

I held my daughter's bridal shower at Charlotte's tea room last week. All our guests are still raving about the food, teas, service and ambiance. It was great. I highly recommend the restaurant to everyone. Such a girlie place to get together with friends. Thank you again for everything Joanne and staff.
