I love this little place! My daughter and I visit frequently. She loves the atmosphere and the little blueberry muffins. I love the chicken salad!! I just wish they had longer hours and was open on Mondays.

This was my first visit to the choc. biscuit and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food and service was. I would have to say I am a big fan of the tea room generation, I will frequent this cute little place often.

This is a wonderful place with plenty of personality... think of having a lovely lunch with friends on a veranda somewhere. I scored them average on some things, but only because the review asked for variety of 'fine teas' and 'artistry of tea preparation.' The food has southern charm and is all really wonderful tasting comfort food. I've purchased two of their cookbooks and have been pleased with those. I've eaten there about a dozen times over the past 5 years, and the food remains consistently good. Some items are different daily, but the salad sampler plate and chicken salad plate are usually the same. Usually I'm too full to eat dessert, but the chocolate biscuits are wonderful.

Yes, the Chocolate Biscuit is a disappointment if you are comparing it to Gracie's in Montgomery or Ms. Rosemarie's. However, I find it to be a unique tea room with its own peculiarities that are refreshing. The food was good, and there was more than enough. I love their blueberry fluff. Yes, it is different, but my husband and I were there 1/09/08 and found the staff cheerful, courteous, and well-trained. I urge you to try it at least once for the experience of a different kind of tea room.

This had to be the worst tea room I have been to. Looked like the place was falling apart. The bathrooms were embarassingly dirty. It was like using the restroom at a gas station. Not alot on the menu. I ordered the chicken salad plate with side salad of the day which was grape salad, and brocili salad. The grape salad wasn't at all what I was exspecting. It was so sweet I thought my teeth were gonna rot off right there. Chicken salad also had grapes in it so I thought everything was to grapey. The broccli salad was ok but had way to much salt in it. Soup of the day was white chicken chili (alot of chicken on the menu!!!) it tasted more like beans and chicken. Very spicey I couldn't even eat it. I just had the sweet tea which tasted like it had been sitting there for days. I just stuck wit... (more)h my water. I was also sitting in a plastic seat that look like it was bought from lowes or ace hardware. Not very creative. I was very displeased, I felt like I was being rushed by getting my meal before my soup was even picked up, and while eating I was asked if I wanted to see the desert tray. Let me eat in peace, god. I have never felt so unwelcomed in my life at any resturaunt. Well to sum it up check out was horrible. I had waitress bumping into me and pushing me out of the way. I was so glad to finally make my way out of there. P.S Parking is horrible, and hard to get out onto Main ST.

my expierence was WOnderful. I took My 7 year old daughter for lunch and the staff was wonderful. THe entire staff treated her like a princess, sinc ethey could see by her attire she was very excited about our day. My commenen to the negative reviews are..Men shouldn't go to tea rooms they should go to steak houses or bars, and then the review may be correct!!

I read Mr.Galbreath review this morning and was horrified on his comments. I have heard nothing but good things about the Chocolate Biscuit... so I decided to go out there today to find out the real truth! and the real truth is that the food is WONDERFUL!!!and the staff is very polite and the tea room is decorated very nice. This tea room has been in busy for a very long time, so they must be doing something right..and I think God has blessed them very well. So please if you read the bad reviews dont let it end there... go and see for yourself as I did today. Keep up the good work Debbie!
P.S. LOVE THAT CHICKEN SALAD!!

I agree with the first review -HUGE DISPOINTMENT- The Chocolate Biscuit tearoom should win the award for the worst service in town! The staff were poorly trained and made little effort to be prompt or courteous. The food was ok, if you like taking risk. The server had little knowledge of what they were serving. What a waste!
