Chris' Tea Cottage

One of our annual traditions is going to Chris' Tea College for their Christmas High Tea. She turns her cabin into a magical holiday wonderland with her linens and decorations. Her charming husband, Carl, meets each guest in a top hat and tails. Every year, there are new teas, savories, scones and sweets! We love listening to the live harp music while enjoying the vast array of treats! It is just a fantastic way to celebrate Christmas!

We enjoyed a wonderful gathering of family over the holidays at your Traditional Christmas Tea party. Loved the finely crafted delectable fare, enchanting teas, and harpist in the background. Exquisite.

We recently had a baby shower for a coworker and friend at the Tea Cottage and it was wonderful! The attention that Chris and Carl pay to detail is amazing. The tea, food, special cookies, table setting, flowers, etc. were all wonderful. Thanks so much for making our experience at the Tea Cottage so special.

I went with one other adult and three young girls and we had an awesome time! The food they served the girls was perfect - pb&j sandwiches with brownies and other great confections. Also they served them 'bubble tea' which is a frozen drink that they liked better than hot tea. For the adults, they had a variety of sandwiches, a savory and a sweet scone, and several other sweet choices. They had a variety of hats so the girls got to choose a hat to wear and play dress up. It was great fun

Thank you Chris and Carl! What a treat. I came with my daughter and two grand daughters ages 5 years and 19 months. They where so kind and made the afternoon so much fun. The food, tea and service was over the top. I wish I lived in Big Fork so I could come for lunch at least once a week!

I have been to the Tea Cottage twice and wanted to share it with my Mother, Sister and two Aunties. We had a wonderful Saturday experience over tea and creative 'goodies'. It was especially fun to wear hats, take pictures and to be greeted and cared for so warmly. Thank you for sending the picture via e-mail. I know we would like to do it again when we are in Big Fork and it isn't far from Kalispell where we live. Thank you!!

I stumbled on to Chris' Tea Cottage by accident as my husband and I were exploring Big Fork for the very first time (we are out of towners from Toronto). I loved it so much that I decided to surprise my mother and bring her to the Christmas Tea event a few days later. It was better than I ever could have imagined --- an amazing afternoon of tea, wonderfully creative food, and the warmest hospitality from Chris and Carl that you could ask for. Great attention is paid to the tiniest of details. It was so great that my mom and I have decided to make it an annual event together. If only we lived near Big Fork! A truly wonderful experience! Thank you for making our holidays such a special one!

My first visit to the 'Tea Cottage'

was December 28, 2010 znd it was a marvelous experience from the doorway to the exit everything was exquisite. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday special event.

This is a fantastic place to have a magical experience! We've been to several of Chris' Tea events (Christmas, Valentines,Mother's Day) and it just gets better every time. Chris and Carl Easton are the perfect hosts. They always make you feel at home. We're lucky to have such a great place in the Flathead Valley.

Lovely selection of black, green, white, and flowering teas. Atmosphere is really nice and refined without being overbearing or stuffy. Very welcoming place! Christmas teas are to become a household tradition!

My daughter and I throughly enjoyed ourselves at the Christmas Tea. The food, ambience and service were excellent. What a wonderful way to celebrate the season and my daughter's birhtday. Thank-you for a lovely time and the pictures!

I really wish there were an 'excellent plus' rating! I've been there four times now(once with the Red Hats) and will come again many more times, I'm sure. Delightful in every way! I especially enjoy the cheerful staff and the tea cozies.

Chris' Tea Cottage is a jewel in the Flathead Valley! Magical, charming and simply delightful...and did I mention sweet?! What a treasure to have this finery in our little village of Bigfork!

The Mother's Day Tea has become a tradition with my daughter's and I. We look forward to it every year. This was our 3rd one and very special!

The Shining Mountain Doll Club had a delightful teaparty, meeting last night at Chris' Tea Cottage. All nine of us look forward to our next visit.

I had such a good time at the luncheon. The service was exceptional and the food delicious. The staff interacted and joked with us without intruding.

Thank you again for the lovely Valentines Day tea served to the four of us. It made the day so special and certainly surprised the men with such a variety of sandwiches, scones, pastries, tea, and champagne. The finest intimate tea cottage I have experienced. Having a pot of tea next to the fire in the late spring is one of the many charms of the Tea Cottage in Bigfork.

Chris and her staff are always a joy to visit. We Red Hatter's have lots of fun and thank you for sending the photos. We certainly are a find looking group.

I've been coming to Chris' Tea Cottage for many years now and the 4 hour (roundtrip) is always worth it! Chris and Carl make the tea experience soooo special. They continually make adjustments to keep things fresh. The one thing that never changes is the attention to detail and their superb service. They always make me, my husband and friends feel special. And Guys - my husband's been there 3 times - no excuses for not taking your special girl to the Tea Cottage!!!!!

incredible and delicious variety of sandwiches, pastries and teas. great soup and the ambiance is delightful!!! Carl was so entertaining in his antique tux! just like tea at the Savoy in London. Highly recommended.

A magical hour spent being pampered so graciously, this shall become a Christmas Tradition for my daughter and I.

Excellent and friendly service, delicious fare, great prices, and of course, great tea! Plus tea-themed gifts in their shop. Highly recommend the Christmas Tea -- wonderful time to share with sisters, mom, or good friends! Have planned tea parties here in the past and everything is always seamless, from setting the date to paying the final bill.

Chris Tea Cottage has it all! Excellent service, tea variety, food, gifts, atmosphere, absolutely everything. I don't live close by but go there every time I am in town. I recommend this tea cottage most highly!

We loved this sweet tearoom. The service and food were great. The food was flavorful and attractively presented. It was a pure pleasure.

There should be an 'outstanding' rating. We were a large group, and our experience still had the personal touch. The ambiance, food, TEA (some of the most exotic choices I've ever seen east of SF...er, come to think of it everything is east of SF...), and HATS were perfect. Extremely fun afternoon!

My wife and I were fortunate to 'stumble' upon this hidden jewel of a tea house in Bigfork. This owner-run log cabin cottage is only a block off the main shopping area of the quaint Bigfork and that is what gives it the unique charm.

We are strict vegetarians and Chris and Carl addressed our special need with kind consideration while serving us with the Afternoon Tea.

Worth a visit.

We had a delightful lunch at Chris' Tea Room on a rainy summer day, and I found several tea related items that I have not seen before (and bought a couple of course). Highly recommended if you want a change from the rustic brew & pizza regimen of these cute Montana towns.

A little bit of English gentility can be found in Montana at Chris' Tea Cottage! The attention to detail is outstanding, from the cute tearoom to the lovely gift shop!

The service, atmosphere, teas, food and interior decor are all superior and lovely! The special events (Christmas, Mother's Day, etc)are not to be missed! Wonderful and accomodating service, fantastic food and delightful teas. Nothing can be improved!!

I live in Whitefish, Montana, but travel regularly over to Bigfork to enjoy Chris' Tea Cottage. We have out of state company throughout the year, and Chris' Tea Cottage is a must-stop for all of my friends. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, the interior and exterior are charming and the views from Bigfork are breathtaking. Chris' staff is always helpful and personable. My true favorite 'happy place'.

My London-born mother and I had lunch at Chris's and found everything very well-presented. Considering neither owner is British, they have obviously done their research!
