My husband and 14 month old daughter took me here for their Mother's Day Brunch on 5/11/08. I had heard wonderful things about their tea/lunch so was expecting a nice visit. What a complete disappointment! Service was horrible, they ran out of food on the brunch table, they ran out of plates twice while we were there, we only saw our server once, another server had to assist us with dirty plates, our bill, the hostess had to ring our credit card for us and to top it off they charged my 14 month old $7.95 for eating a piece of cheese and a strawberry from my plate. I have never felt so rushed either. They brought our bill before we were even half through our plate of food. If we had a nice experience I was planning on bringing my tea-loving friends back, but will not being doing that.

Connie,
Thank you for your feedback about our Mother's Day Brunch Buffet. I am so sorry that we disappointed you on such an important day. It was our busiest day since we opened five years ago and judging by your comments, it showed. We did run out of many popular items during the lunch peak but recovered within 5 to 10 minutes. I know when you are hungry and standing in line it seems much longer.
The charge of $7.95 for your 14 month old was an error. It is not our policy to charge for children at that age. If you would like to call or stop by, we would be happy to refund the $7.95. Please ask for Ginger.
Sincerely,

My daughter and I happened upon this place while in Cartersville and what a treasure to find. It is the first tea room that I visited since moving to GA last November. The service was great and my daughter got a kick out of wearing a special hat for our tea. Very cozy... I highly recommend the Church St Tea Garden!

We had lunch on Saturday, 2/9 and it was wonderful. My friend and I are enjoying visiting different tearooms. We both had the chicken/mushroom crepes and they were awesome! Server was super attentive and of course the desserts were to die for! Tea pie (I'd neer had)Although I live out of town now, this is my hometown and I'm proud we have a Teahouse. They also have hats and boas' for dress up. Our grandkids love, love that part.

Absolutely charming place. Service was excellent despite the busy time right before Christmas. We were seated quickly and the server was very knowledgeable about the menu. The plates were beautiful and the food was fresh and delicious. I had the peach tea. It was yummy!

we had my daughters tea party there. I called and made reservation in advance. there were 9 people in my party. my party time was 1:30 it took over a hour just to get our food. we went half the meal with nothing to drink! the serve came out once to bring our drinks & once to bring our food that was it. I got the menus for my guest. when she did go to get our drinks it took about 15 minutes! also they said they had no peanut butter or prime rib! then the serve came back & said o we do have peanut butter. for me to have called ahead this was by far the WORST EVERY TEA HOUSE I HAVE BEEN TOO. they are not good with big parties!!!!!!!

I decided to have a Bridal Tea for my soon to be sister-in-law at the Church Street Tea Garden. My mother and I tried a meal at the Tea Garden first and were very impressed with our server and our food and were very excited. We had a similar experience as Caroline wrote about. We arrived a few minutes early and had to wait over 45 minutes on our table that was supposed to be ready at 2. We were then seated and waited another 20 minutes before our tea orders were taken, we also preordered the Duchess Tea but the waitress began asking for orders for side items and soups and whether or not we wanted scones which comes with the Duchess tea. I would highly recommend the Tea Garden for lunch but not for any important or large parties.

Dear Shiloh,
I appreciate you letting us know of your service challenges during your recent visit. We take pride in offering our guests a great dining experience, so when I read your comments, I was very embarrassed and sorry for the poor level of service. I assure you that your comments will be shared with our Servers so we can do better in the future. There really isn't a way to make up for our shortcomings on such a special day, but I would like to offer you and your soon to be sister-in-law Royal High Tea on the house. Please call me directly at your earliest convenience to set up a date and time. We would like to make it very special for you both.

I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Church Street Tea Garden! I have lunch there as often as I can by myself and have taken my sister with me on two other occasions. The ladies exude Southern charm and hospitality. It's like you've come to their home and they want to feed you! Such a joy!

A lovely cottage with personable servers, wonderful food and an outstanding gift shop, 'Hollyhocks.' 'Camp Victoria' was going on in a side room this week. Young girls were learning 'The Art of Taking Tea' and ending this week with a Mother Daughter tea. This was our second visit to the Church Street Tea Garden and we will be back.
