Communitea is Long Island City's first teahouse offering a wide selection of premium loose-leaf teas from all over the world. Not only do we serve a great 'cuppa' but also roasted whole bean coffee, fresh made sandwiches and panini, savory soups and salads, real fruit and tea smoothies, and weekend brunch as well.

Looking for a treat? Stop in for our weekday afternoon tea-service featuring our house-baked scones, sweets and savories-a great pick me up to get you through the day.

If you are new to the world of tea we can provide you with tips on how to infuse a proper cup of tea, and set you up with a Teapot or infuser. Need a gift for tea enthusiast--then pick up The Teastick and pair it with a bag of loose-leaf tea!

coffee drinkers vastly outnumber tea drinkers here, so aside from the kitchy name, I wouldn't really consider it a true tea house. Breakfasts are good.

Not true, we serve just as much tea as we do coffee. We serve tea by the cup as well as teapots for one or two. Tea enthusiasts may purchase our selection of teas in bulk to take home. If you are new to tea we provide instructions on how to brew tea as well as sell tea infusers, The Teastick (we are the only supplier in Queens) and ForLife teapots and Tea Sets.

Nice decor, OK food, fast internet but stay away from KIM, her rude attitude really spoils this friendly café.

I almost started working for this little shop when I moved to the city. I had to turn them down because of scheduling stuff, but I've gone out of my way to go back a few times because I believe in the business so strongly. Awesome!
