Cosy Cupboard Tea Room

The venue was beautiful. The sandwiches were wonderful, as was the desert and soup. The scones were nice, but I found them average. The tea also was good, but the variety needs to be a bit better and the house tea needed a bit more flavor. Overall the experience was very pleasant with a wonderful atmosphere, and beautiful location. Easy access for those driving or commuting from the city or surrounding areas. Service could have been just a hair better, but the owner was very kind and helpful and engaging. I would go back.

Thanks to James and his staff for all their help in ensuring my bridal shower was a success. It was an amazing day! One I will always cherish. The food was delicious and I appreciate everything the staff did to accommodate the guests. I know they will have have plenty of referrals and repeat customers.

I hosted my future sister in law's bridal shower here in February and it was a fabulous event! We did a basic 4 course menu (salad, sandwiches, scones, and dessert). There was a selection of five teas to try and we also brought champagne and they set up a mimosa bar for us. Everything was delicious but the scones were my favorite. James helped me plan every aspect of the shower and executed everything perfectly. The flowers they provided for the tables in the color of my choice were beautiful. The two servers were professional and attentive and everything was served in a timely, but not rushed, fashion. The ambiance in the rose room was lovely and it was the perfect amount of space for 25 people. All the guests were very happy, including the bride. I will definitely be back again!

This exact phrase used by two different alleged negative reviewers. And all the other reviews came at regular intervals, all five star everything.

Sorry, but I smell a rat. I don't believe these reviews are genuine.

Simply put... AMAZING! I loved my experience at The Cosy Cupboard. I was not sure what to expect when I go there, but my goodness from start to finish I felt that every single penny that was spent there was made use of. The staff and owners are wonderful people and work very hard to keep a high level of customer satisfaction. Allergies are handled with ease and kindness.

The Food... The FOOD... was amazing! Everything from first smell to presentation, to taste was out of this world. The tea was equal to the food! We had such a blast trying everyone tea choice!

Last but not least the ambiance was perfect. I was afriad that a tea room may have horrible flowery wall paper and walls filled with chachkees but what i found was just the opposite. Beautiful, understated, elegance and class!

I am having my bridal shower there in April and I just can not wait to show this place off to all of my guests! :) Please go, enjoy, you won't regret it.

I want to thank you and your staff for a wonderful afternoon(baby shower). My guests were very pleased with my choice of venue, and the entire affair was lovely. The Cosy Cupboard provided us with a wonderful way to start the New Year!

Hello Mr. Howard. I brought my cousin Kay,form NY, to your tearoom today. Just thought you'd like to know that she was so impressed with your lovely place that she said if it was in NY it would do tremendous business. She particularly loved the scones, so delicious. Anyway, my daughter and I plan another vist in Jamuary and we hope to see you then. Happy Holidays.

I guess we picked the wrong day to have a baby shower. James the owner did not give us a formal contract for the services of the event. I had arranged a meeting to sample the food and settle on a reservation, James was two hours late for our appointment his excuse was that he forgot.I did sample the food for the event and it was fabulous as well as the service and quaint atmosphere. Expecting the food and service to be the same or better for the baby shower, I was really disappointed on how the event was organized, it did not go as planned. Perhaps it was the second party of the day and staff was exhausted. Our time for the event was changed three times by owner due to his first client being being a VIP customer and he did not want to rush her from the place so he gave us a 15% discounted ... (more)but he made up for it in the gratuity (he did not mention % in the contract). The set up of the tables was wrong for the event, it was poorly planned, the owner winged the whole event and we did not get any of the desserts that were paid, also we had paid extra for a crepe station (for the presentation and food selection) well it was not done nicely. The tea was very good and the room was beautiful. The guests had a lovely time and said it was the best shower they have ever been to!! despite the side lines.
But service does matter also and it was very lacking that day.

Thanks to James and the entire staff for making my daughter-in-law's baby shower on October 13th beyond fabulous! I'm still getting calls from friends and family telling me what a great time they had and how wonderful the whole tea experience was. From the fruit and cheese 'welcome' to the individual plates of deserts - every course (all 5 of them!) was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. Really, really delicious! Your people were responsive to any request we had and totally pampered our guests. And those scones . . . my mouth is watering right now just thinking about them. If anyone asks me where they should have their next event I will recommend without hesitation The Cosy Cupboard Tea Room!!

Hello James, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you and your wait staff for helping to make my daughter's baby shower a memorable event. All of the ladies enjoyed themselves and the English Tea 'experience'. I appreciate your helpfulness throughout the planning process and on the day itself. The raspberries and the balloons were very thoughtful touches and everyone loved your informative narratives!! Your staff could not have been more helpful, courteous and efficient. They were terrific!

I would like to thank James Howard and the staff at Cosy Cupboard for doing a wonderful job with my friend Victoria's bridal shower on Oct 23rd. The decor was beautiful, the food delicious,and the service outstanding. I will continue to highly recommend Cosy Cupboard to tea lovers and event planners alike!

Spent a wonderful few hours with my Mom yesterday. Food was fabulous, service incredible thanks to Vinnie. He was attentive, without hovering, helped us choose our teas, and made suggestions for the meal. Will visit again soon. Didn't see the 'new' customer coupon here on teamap, that is my only disappointment. Will definately go again, feels like home!

Thank you so much for another fabulous afternoon. My friends were veyry impressed (as was I again) with the service and the food was amazingly good. I tried the new Cranberry Apple tea that was just so delicious, I hope you will keep it on the menu! Vinnie is a terrific waiter!! I have had him both times I was there and he is excellent!! Very attentive with being obtrusive. Thank you also for making sure that you had English Trifle It was very good. Little touches like that will ensure your restaurant is successful :) I for one hope it is there for years to come!!

My four 'tea' friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Cosy Cupboard yesterday. The dining room was very pretty and comfortably set up. Service was great and the food just wonderful. Homemade soups were very tasty, scones maybe the best we've ever had. Thank you to the owner and a very attentive staff for a wonderful afternoon tea experience.

The Cosy Cupboard is the 'quintessential tea room, with excellent service, elegant decor and classical music, offering handmade tea sandwiches and desserts by a CIA-trained chef', and a bottomless cup of tea.

The tea(service) that I received at Cosy was more delightful than tea that I had at Kensington Palace(England)
