last wednesday we had 24 for our ladies luncheon who had never been here before. the food was excellent and we had never seen a nicer assortment of fruit and salad with our meal. we were amazed how fast we were served, we kept looking at each others plate as it came out as it all looked so good. and so much. we were impressed.

I have to thank everyone at Cottage Cafe for the wonderful High Tea we had on 9/3. This was a belated birthday gift from my friend and her daughter's first tea. The presentation, variety and quality of the food was amazing as was the tea. I love the surprise of having each course presented separately, it's makes the experience soo much fun!! The service was friendly and I have to again thank you for accomadating my food allergies a rare service to find these days. The decor is vintage, fun, whimsical and adds to the experience. My friend and I have been many places for High Tea including the Vinoy and the Grand Floridian and we both agree this was the best food, service and time we have ever had. Now my friend's daughter understands why we love going to tea. It's a wonderful time to spend relaxing, sharing and laughing while having amazing food!

One of my favorite places in Largo. Wonderful atmosphere; delicious, well presented food; and a wonderful assortment of antiques and collectibles. Be sure to allow plenty of time to enjoy all this Cafe has to offer.

My mother and I went to this spot for lunch on a rainy afternoon. The place was very cozy and comfortable. The house decaf tea is wonderful and the food was yummy! I had the quiche and tomato bisque, while my mother got the salad sampler which was very good. We will be returning!

The uniqueness of the Cafe itself is both charming and warm. I love to just sit and look around at all the items that create the ambience of the Cafe. Mother's Day was a joy. The Cafe was quite busy but the food and camadarie was excellent. The Cafe is a must for me always.

My husband I decided on this tea room to spend Mother's day with my mother-in-law. It was a great place to sit and relax and she really enjoyed looking at all of the tea pots, hats, etc. I had a yummy slice of quiche that was served with more fresh fruit than I've ever been served. My mother-in-law had curry chicken salad in a canteloupe and she ate ALL of it:-). The place was packed but the food still came out rather quickly. I hope to make this a Mother's day tradition. Thank you!

Weve been here twice before for tea on mothers day and were pleased however today was very dissapointing. Had reservations and they seated us right away. The tables next to us were both dirty for a 1/2 hour and our tea pot was dirty at our table as well as the dish they put the food on. She didnt tell us what the tea was. The scones were store bought, there was actually a Entenmanns donut cut up and we asked about it but they avoided the question. The food took entirely to long in between courses and the desserts were also store bought and just cut up. Window sill was dirty with dust and dead flies I was sitting right next to. We asked for dishes and silverware and our waitress asked us why we needed it for finger foods. Really? Because its messy and I dont like eating off the table. We had been looking forward to this because we usually enjoy it once a year but unfortunatelty it was a let down to say the least.

I'm sorry you were so dissapointed in your tea. First I would like to say your scones were not store bought .I spent one whole day baking scones Which I learned to make from a professional baker. The small cupcakes (pink) and the larger chocolate ones had been baked and decorated that morning along with the orange cake. Yes ther was a doughnut on your plate I always like them to be very full and I used them for a filler. All sandwiches were made by me. We always serve our house tea that was blended just for us out of NY. I'm sorry Denise did not explain this to you if you don't like the tea we always bring you something else since we do carry a large variety. I would never take the walkends again I was trying to accomadate our regular customers and it just didn't work. I do hate to turn regular faithful customers away. Fresh fruit is always served along with your scone plate. We hired extra help that never did show which is not unusal in this bussiness, that is why the tables could not get cleaned on time. Sometimes our old plates and cups look like they're dirst and it's just crazing or spots under the clear coating. I hope you will return again,I do hope you give us another chance this was a very rare time as you said we almost always have pleased customers. Thank you Debi

I took 3 friends there on Sat May 7th in celebration of Mother's Day. VERY disasspointed with service. We had reservations and when I made reservations I was told they would be offering regular menu & when we got there there was limited Mother's Day menu. Lunches came out at different times. Awkward! Was disappointed in the experience. Gentlemen that served us lunch had on a very dirty soiled t-shirt that looked like he was also the dishwasher. I was with several elderly women who are use to quality service. Had chicken curry in cantelope & chicken was tuff. Overall visit - Very poor. They need more staff. I understand it is not fast food but lunch for 4 of us took almost 2 hours. Not a good experience.

This is a very special Tea Room. I arrived with a reserved party of 24 people to smiling faces and welcoming greetings. The tea was excellent and our waitress DID explain the type of tea that we were being served. She may not have poured the tea into our cups, we were all quite capable of assisting ourselves. All of the Tea goodies were excellent with plenty of scones, sandwiches and desserts. I introduced myself to the chef and complimented her on her wonderful concoctions. The service was good considerating the balancing act of serving not only our group but others who came for their lunch. This is not a fast food hamburger establishment but a refined relaxing, no rush Tea Room. I would recommend this 'Special Little Gem' to everyone. By the way, this was my second time with a large group and the second time was as enjoyable as the first!

Food is good and enough of it, but service is something they need to work on. We were there for a very special tea party that was suppose to take one and a half hours (2 hours top) we where there for a little over three hours. Waiting and waiting between courses, I finally had to go tell them we were ready for the dessert it was taking so long and my guest where having to leave. It would have been nice if they could of poured our first cup of tea and explained what kind it was. Then when they brought in the scones they could have explained a little of what they are. When they brought in the different sandwiches and we asked about them, they where placed in the center of the table and she had no time to tell us about them. They booked to many tea party's at one time (even though the ... (more)

I first visited the Cottage Cafe with a group of friendly women fr rom Belleaire, Florida. They welcomed me, the snow bird, into their social network. This cottage is a feast for the eyes. something to trigger memories in every corner, it was lovely. I have been back 3 times. Each time I have company from NY, I make it a point to take them to the Cottage Cafe. The women who own it are also delightful.....

Great food for the price! $20 per person, and you get four courses. Wide variety of tea sandwiches and unique flavor combinations. Nice seating arrangements, and lots to look at inside!
They offer their own flavor of tea, which is a blend. Very fruity and delicious! I did not even have to use sugar or cream, the flavor was great all by itself!

What a wonderful 'tea party'. The food was outstanding and such a variety. The plate of 'kid friendly' sandwiches was unexpected and the 2 8 year old girls just loved it. The attention to details was remarkable and service superior. Everything far surpassed my expectation. I enjoyed every minute of our tea and will enjoy bringing my friends there. And your lunches are just as terrific too!! Thanks Denise and Debi for a wonderful afternoon.

We just returned from Tea at the Cottage Cafe and it ranks right up there with our fist Tea party in Victoria, British Co. The food was fantastic-we had a hard time figuring out what was best. We had 5 adults and 2 grandkids and we ate and ate and still brought home 2 containers of food. We had our own private room, their brand of tea which all of us agreed was fantastic and a great variety of sandwiches. The cucumber sandwiches were absolutely the best any of us have eaten. They even had a tray of special kid friendly sandwiches- all for $20 a person. We will make this our special occasion cafe.

Thank you so much.
