Variety: I felt that Miss Tami's was a great little tea house! The buffet offered on Saturday morning was absolutely wonderful. The food was amazingly good. There was a crepe station, fresh fruit, waffles, potatoes, eggs, desert items, home-made biscuits, and the best mac and cheese I have ever experienced! Almost every 'breakfast' food was available, fresh, and warm. We enjoyed our tea on the lush patio. Aside from the buffet, they have a full menu for lunch and desert as well as many types of drinks including mimosas, flavored coffees, and teas. The prices seemed just right for the quality of the food and tea. Although, the hostess did seemed a little confused when we came in and said 'We're here for tea'. Apparently she thought we meant we were there for a tea party which needs to be scheduled ... (more) |

Variety: My wife and I have been going to Miss Tami's Cottage and Tea Room for six years and visit frequently. I have read all the reviews and cannot believe the negative ones at all. While anyone is allowed a bad day or two, I cannot believe that Miss Tami or her staff have ever intentionally or wantonly ignored a guest or made them feel unwelcome. This is a delightful and busy Tea Room and Tea Shop where you can be treated like royalty at a very reasonable price. Compared with other Tea Rooms in the SF Bay Area and Victoria Canada, Miss Tami's is on the professional and reasonably-priced side. If they had more staf they would be banging into each other all day long and the price would be much higher. The Monte Cristo sandwich is a signature item and I have never had a bad one. The staff are always friendly and perform their tasks courteously and professionally. This is not the Westin St. Francis hotel, but the Afternoon Tea is better and the staff more service oriented. |

Variety: The service was terrible. I was treated as though I were in the way while I browsed the shop. My questions were not answered and I ended up leaving with nothing because I could not get help from the rude women who worked there. I will never go again! |

Variety: The big draw for this shop is the variety of teas available, and the little gift shop is interesting, but that's as far as my review can be favorable. The food is too expensive for what is served. The place is too cramped and poorly laid out, which makes serving difficult. Miss Tami seemed to be rushed and very nit-picky in her treatment of guests and employees. She won't yield to any special requests. Her attitude caused me to have a very uncomfortable time in her shop. She is just not nice. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I did not like the cheap imitation of a fine tea shop, either. |
