Do yourself a favor & visit this local favorite. It is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. We were visiting from north GA, and had heard of the Crabapple Tea Room from friends in the area. The food, service, and tea were all wonderful. The prices were very fair for the quality. We did have to wait about 10 min., but we didn't call ahead and there was six of us. We will definitely make this a regular stop when we are in the area. Tea Toadlers

We cannot say how happy our lunch group is that this lovely little tea room re-opened. The food never disappoints, the service is always friendly and prompt. The fare is simple, and tastes homemade & fresh. Try the tuna salad. I know everyone loves the chicken salad, but even the tuna is wonderful. Also, try the strawberry cake and the scones are to die for. Can't wait to return.

Absolutely fabulous chicken salad & soups. Food is always fresh and well prepared. Service is also good, and these ladies seem to know how to prepare tea the correct way, we each had our own pot and it was nice and hot. Cute gift area. We will be scheduling my daughters shower here since it lived up to all the expectations and then some!

What a lovely little jewel this is! Had the quiche and beef barley soup, both wonderful. My sister had the chicken salad, which we had read the reviews about and it was really really good. The food was fresh, the decor was charming. We had to wait to get in just about 5 minutes, but it was well worth it and we will be back. Kepp up the good work!

Service was wonderful, food delicious, and adorable inside. The chicken salad was the best we have had anywhere. Drove from Canton to try this little place after a friend had been. Definitely will return.

We are so happy our favorite tea room is now open again. Things are just as good or maybe even better. The scones that came with lunch were so good we ordered more and the chicken salad is simply the best. Can't wati to go again next week. Kepp it up! Kelly

Oh Happy day! Can't wait for this place to reopen. It is by far the best food, and my friends and I have missed going there for lunch & tea. We used todrive all the way from Marietta, always well worth the trip. Thank you, Cindy B.

Oh, my! Who could even think of a more perfectly charming and delightful setting for a bridal shower! And the tea trays of such delicious, fresh foods, so artistically and colorfully displayed were honostly amazing. The chicken salad is truly the best I have ever tasted. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality and for making this wonderful memory possible! Very sad to learn you will be closing the tea room, I wish you the best in your new endeavors.
P.S. Please keep my e-address close at hand if a cook book is in the offing.

Was just here for a friends party and the experience was wonderful! We had tea trays and the food was beautiful and some of the best I've ever had. The chicken salad and the asparagus sandwiches were my favorite. We also had strawberry cake that was outstanding (even though they wouldn't share the receipe) Hurry up and do that cook book..I want one! So sorry that the business is being sold. It will be a loss for us around here. Thank you ladies for one last great lunch.

We had lunch here on the last day of regular lunch service since they are now only going to do private parties and reservation events. So sad as this had become our favorite place. The food was just superb and always delicious!
The food was not 'fancy' but still such a huge cut above most restaurants. Lucky for me that I will be attending a baby shower here in May, but oh how we will miss going here, maybe they will re-open?

A couple of girls in our party are sooo sad that this tea room will not be serving regular lunch anymore, but will only do showers and such of larger groups, & private parties. They were used to having lunch once a week here.
Anyway, my bridal tea was absolutely wonderful. The trays were lovely with wonderful sandwiches and sweets. The tea was wonderfully hot, and the servers were very attentive and fun. It was nice that we could have our tea earlier in the day since the lunch crowd was not an issue, but it is a sad loss for all that enjoyed daily lunches here...Thanks for a great job ladies of Crabapple!

My lunch here was fantastic! I had a pot of tea, soup, and half a sandwich. All fresh ingredients in the tomato soup, not salty, and the portion was just enough. My egg salad sandwich had the perfect texture and harmony of ingredients. I was thrilled at the sandwich bread choices because some tea houses only offer foofy croissants for sandwich bread. The pickle chips and carrot chips made for a delicate, colorful and savory garnish.

Loved the tea! I appreciated the metal tea device inside the teapot spout which helped to streamline pouring an eliminated dripping.

My server was friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive. An intimate ambience of soft pinks, decorative teapots, and what appeared to be a former cottage converted to a tea house, it had the feel of a Southern-... (more)

I am never disappointed when we have lunch at The Crabapple Tea Room! The food is fresh, and so good. The cakes are wonderful because they are not 'mass' produced and stocked up, as explained to me by the owner. I have even been allowed to take a peek behind the scenes to speak to the owner when she couldn't come out. The kitchen was as clean as I could ever hope to see my own. We knew this was a place that we loved the food, but was just so impressed with the cleanliness. I have been over 5 times, and will keep going back especially now that I have seen what I did!

We just had my sisters bridal shower last weekend at this lovely tea room. The servers treated everyone like royalty, and the food was just superb!. It was a little small, but actually perfect for our group of 28. We had more food than we could possibly eat, even though we made every attempt. We were served some very nice loose leaf teas in individual pots, and correctly brewed with the correct water temp. (This is a problem I find at other tea houses.) We are already wondering what event we can schedule for a return visit! Time for another baby girls...get on it!

I took a friend and my daughter to this tea house today and the experience was a let down. It was my first time and unfortunately the last one. The place is small, but instead of cozy it is noisy. The fine and elegante ambience you look for when going to enjoy a cup of tea at a tea house wasn't present. The honey was served on the bottle brought from the store. The sugar packs sitting on the table was yuky wet.
The price is high. Our server was very nice, and she did her best, but she couldn't save the day by herself. The place has potencial, and it is a shame that it is being wasted like this. I hope the owner do well, so please change what is not working.

Tearoom Response
We are so sorry that your experience was a let down. Depending on the time of day especially around lunch it can get quite noisy. I do wish you would try the tea room again, and perhaps have the afternoon tea service for a more elegant, and relaxing experience. Thank you for you helpful input, and we will be under going some big changes within the next several weeks, that will definitely address the things you mentioned. I don't how much we can reduce the noise, but the other problems definitely can and will changed. We plan on continuing our operation as a tea room, but only by reservation and full tea service for private parties, groups, and special events. I am disappointed that you would not try us again, with the different management and new goals of improvement.
Thanks Again (Emily Mathews - 0wner)

I do not recommend this place for anybody. I was really disappointed with their afternoon tea and the waitresses there.

Tearoom Response
Nekola, I really wish you would have asked to see Emily or Kathy, so that we could have learned what it waas that disappointed you so, and any poor service you may have recieved, so that it could've been corrected. If you don't send me details I cannot know how to repair your visit either for you or the next person. Please contact me by my regular e-mail to tell me more. There are going to be some changes in the next few weeks, and I would really value your opinion. Thank You, Emily Mathews (owner) ekmathews@comcast.net

I do not understand why this place is the rank#1 of 58. I went to Crabapple for afternoon tea with my friends in Jan.,2007. I thought it was overpriced. I thought they will serve with 3 tire trays. But it came with only 2 trays and the QTY of foods were so little. I normally go to Roswell Teahouse, Faded Rose Tea house and Arbor Teahouse. All of those places served more foods with reasonable price. Also, the waitress was trying to make us hurry even it was not closing time. Honestly, I did not enjoy the place very much. That is why I haven't been back to this place ever since. But I was very surprise to see many critics.

- Frau Figaro 01/30/08

Tearoom Response
Hummm...I think there must be some confusion. We do not even have two tiered trays, ONLY use three tiered trays. The charge is 16.95 for 3 finger sandwiches, single shrimp cocktail, minimum of 4 fresh fruits, vegetable strips (6) scones, and 3 small desserts. All per person without additional charges for 'premium' teas.
I think there must be some confusion about where you meant to leave this comment. We serve really too much food for most people, it is all made by us from scratch...not imported, frozed, or prepared days ahead of time. We only serve the highest quality and freshly prepared food the day of service.

My daughter-in-law and I love to visit tea rooms. We visited Crabapple about two weeks ago and enjoyed it very much. Great food, hot tea, yummy dessert.
We went back for lunch yesterday and enjoyed ourselves all over again. They have a new menu, including the much requested '1/2 sandwich and soup'. We both had the chicken salad 1/2 sandwish and we each tried a different soup. Again, the food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was relaxing. This tea room is definitely on our list of favorites and we WILL visit again soon.

Lunch here was so very good. The chicken salad was the best I have ever had which is my favorite thing to try at the various tea houses. My friend had the quiche and raved about it. We spilt a piece of German chocolate cake, just fabulous! We can't wait to go back. Oh yes and our tea was served really hot, which I ofen find is a problem in a lot of tea rooms around town. Keep up the good work Crabapple Tea Room! Bravo! Angie,Cindy,& Marge

Myself and two friends hosted a baby shower here and everything was wonderful! The food was delicious and fresh. Our group was 25 and almost all had a different hot tea. The servers didn't miss a beat either. Definitely recommend and we will go back for lunch soon!

Fantastic food, service, and correctly prepared loose leaf tea. While it make be 'said' to have the leaves loose in the pot, these ladies know that unless you drink the entire pot right then, your next cup will be bitter since the leaves continue to steep...duh! Keep up the good work! All should have the chicken salad here it is the best anywhere. Christina M.

What a lovely little place! The food was delicious, the service and atmosphere cheerful. The chicken salad and carrot cake were just wonderful. We went back after we had a 'to go' sandwich so we could sit and try something different. Can't wait to get back again!

Our time at the Tea Room was simply amazing- The waitresses were kind and friendly, and the owners seemed just as wonderful. I happen to of met the daughter of one of the owners, and she was so adorable- She thanked me for coming, and was attentive to see if I needed anything and everything was to my satisfaction. Obviously her mother and aunt (the owners) taught her well, and I'll be sure to come again. (Psst. I recommend the chicken pot pie and the chicken salad- It's the absolute best!)
