I would love to leave a positive review for this tea room, but unfortunately cannot. The reason I cannot leave a positive review is because I made a reservation for myself, my daughter who was visiting from out of state, my mother, and my mother-in-law. When I informed the woman on the phone that my daughter would be bringing her nursing infant, I was denied the reservation because she said my daughter was not allowed to bring her baby because she does not allow children under 5 in her tea room. If she is afraid of noise, then she shouldn't even allow children 5 or older, because as we all know many children even 5 or older can be very disruptive if they have not been trained to properly behave in public. Also, we all know that tea rooms are not always quiet with adults. Many adults are loud and bouisterous. Unfortunately, this is one tea room that I will never attend or recommend.

I understand your disappointment but I have to be fair to everyone. The majority of our customers appreciate my attempt to keep things quiet so they can relax. You are right there is no guarantee but I can try. Again, I am sorry. I also feel that unless you actually come to Crumpets it is unfair to comment on our service, food and artistry. Hope one day you will reconsider and visit us.

This was a high spot of our tearoom getaway. We were late because we got lost, but the staff was ready for us. Dutchess afternoon tea had a wide variety of sandwich fillings, yummy scones and assorted sweets. The tea was hot and remained that way throughout. I (Patsy) liked the cozys/cosys because many tea places are not using them anymore. well worth the visit. Although some might not think so...bagpipe music a plus.

We recently hosted a bridal shower at Crumpets Tea Room and could not have asked for a better experience. The Russian Caravan tea was wonderful, as was the Darjeeling and Raspberry and others that our party tried. There were easily 15 or more other tea choices available. The food was wonderful, and there was more than enough for each person. Starting with a flavorful house blend tea, together with a cheese and cracker tray and fresh fruit was a nice way to get acquainted and wait for the bride-to-be to arrive. The staff was very courteous and helpful, and the young lady that served us was professional and pleasant. We have been to tea rooms in the past, and I can say that Crumpets is by far the best!

visit was not cordial when my sister and I asked if they ever had anyone who read tea leaves, we have had this done in another tea room and it was great fun. The server seemed offended that we would ask for such a thing

Today we were at Crumpets hosting a bridal shower for my sister and could not have been happier! The food was great, the tea was delicious (what a variety!), the atmosphere was very friendly and accomodating and they even helped take group photos for us at the end of our visit.
My sister commented that the scones were the absolute best she'd ever had. I also heard (and gave) many compliments on the turkey/stuffing/cranberry sandwiches and the little chocolate bundt cakes. YUM!
My mother was happy that coffee was also served and I know a few guests could not have caffiene, so it was nice to have decaf and chamomile tea served as well.
The small home-like atmosphere really helped make it a special event all around. Thank you!

Crumpets Tea Room located in North Andover Mass is with out a doubt one of the best yet. I have also been to the Tea Leaf in Waltham and to say the least it does not compare to Crumpets. My daughter and I went to Crumpets this past Saturday and although busy, it was peaceful, and the waitress was attentive and delightful. The best part was of course the food. We ordered the Duchess of Bedford afternoon tea with the 3-cup pot of tea. I had the Boston Harbour, while my daughter enjoyed the Rooibos herbal tea. All of the 6 little tea sandwiches were delectable. My favorite part was the double berry scones that came with the duchess. I would strongly suggest going to Crumpets Tea Room, you won't regret it!

I went to Crumps today looking for a fine Victorian environment and a comfortable, quiet meal and I was grossly disappointed. When they took our reservation they did not warn us that they were hosting 13 women in their early 20's. (They advertise that events are held later when closed to the public.)We almost left before we sat down. The din from their table was so great the waitress could not hear my order. Of course, they did not finish the screaming and cackling until we were ready to leave. I have dined in the #1 and #3 tea rooms in Massachusetts for years. This is not #2 by any stretch of the imagination.

I have to say I loved it, it was warm and cozy and the staff was super friendly!
Tea selection was extensive, Tomato Florentine Soup was incredible as were the scones and little treats. I will definitely be going back and would give Crumpets Tea a 10!
Definitely someplace to have special time with a mom or girlfriends!

This tearoom gets five stars from me, and I have been to a lot of them. It was excellent. Better than tea at the Ritz. Very nicely decorated and comfortable. We had their Duchess of Bedford full tea and everything was delicious. You won;t get a luke-warm pot of tea here - ours was piping hot. Also very reasonably priced at $18.95 for everything you get with it. Will be going back again soon!
