I took my wife and her Mother out for Mother's day and was very impressed with this restaurant. The service on a very busy day was calm and professional, the food although a little slow, did I mention it was very busy, was absolutely delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the Bangers and Mash and the girls each had a ham and leek quiche we finished the meal off with scones, apple pie and tea cakes. I am grateful for the wonderful lunch since I am now being rewarded for finding the perfect place.

My girlfriends and I enjoyed ourselves so much at the Downton Abbey Tea yesterday. The soup and little sandwiches were great and the scone was warm light and delicious. I'm so looking forward to there next event.

Fantastic weekend up in Beacon and one of the highlights was a stop at the Cup and Saucer Tearoom. Gracious hostess and wonderful food and service make for a memorable trip up north.

Wednesdays is my day with the girls. Going to the Cup and Saucer is perfect for getting together with friends which we do every week, we go to a few places but we keep coming back to the Cup and Saucer, our favorite place. Joan is sweet and already knows what some of us are going to have.We love the tea, the food and the service.

My husband and I just had the best lunch in ages at this charming eatery.
Bangers and Mash, and butternut squash ravioli, both were delicious. The tea offering today was a white pomegranate and it too was great.

So glad to have come back, it's my 3rd or 4th time here and it just reinvigorates me every time I come. Just what I needed to do with friends after the holiday.

We stopped in over the weekend for the first time after seeing you in the Poughkeepsie Journal on Friday. Me and my family had a great time at your place, the tea was fabulos and the food was very good. The waitress helped explain the different teas and was very sweet.
Everything was enjoyable and we will be back often.

You were so right suggesting the Russian Caravan I loved it, it paired really well with the mac n cheese and brought out the smokiness of the Gouda. How lucky were we that you happened to be talking to the table next to ours so we could pick your brain. I wanted to let you know what a good time we had

We got home from the tea room and I decided I had to let you know what a good time we had chatting with you. It was lucky for us that you were not busy when we came although I don't understand why. Thank you for taking the time to sit outside with us and tell us about the area where my daughter is looking to buy a house. I feel calmer knowing that she has a lovely place like yours to go to where she can meet friends for lunch without any drama.

We really enjoyed our afternoon at your place on Saturday. We were the little group of 5 that had after noon tea with all the little sandwiches and munchies. Thank you for coming out and letting us know all of the fun things to do in beacon. We will come around again in the fall with family. The food was exceptionally good, thank you.

I just came home from a weekend in Beacon. I'd seen an article in Friday's New York Times about Beacon and thought it would make for a lovely weekend getaway. It did. I stayed at a lovely B&B called the Swann Inn and it was they that suggested the Cup and Saucer. The whole experience was fabulous. the black bean soup was one of the best soups I've ever had, not just black bean soup. My dinner was a homey bacon wrapped meatloaf with a gravy so wonderful, I was in heaven. My partner enjoyed the (if I can remember this) plantain sweet potato poppers and then a tilapia franchese, awesome! There was no room for dessert, but the bread pudding and scone were calling to us so we took them back to the room. We ate them for a midnight snack and had very sweet dreams.

My friend has been pushing me to come with her to this tea room. I always hesitated because I'm really not a tea drinker (usually when I'm sick). I finally gave in since I wanted to go to Beacon anyway. I didn't have tea but I did have a wonderful Salmon over salad, it had almonds and oranges in a delicate tasty ginger dressing. I decided not to have dessert, even though they all sounded pretty great but instead had a bite of my friends 'Lavender Blue' scone...absolutely delightful.
I am going to start prodding other friends to go with me ha ha !

Thanks to the staff there for making my Granma so happy. She came to visit for the holiday weekend from Canada so we brought her to your Tea Room. She has been praising us ever since for such a wonderful outing. She especially liked the Strawberry rose scone.

Went to the beacon Riverfest today and listened to some good music, but after a while it was so hot we decided to go to Main street and cool down somewhere. We found you looked at the menu in the window and decided to go in. It was so nice and cool, what a relief it was to sit down and enjoy a wonderful glass of roibos colada iced tea. After our salads we also shared your scones I had the strawberry rose and Mark had the orange lavender. I have to say that we (mark said so too) never had any better scones than those. Thank you for the wonderful finish to a great afternoon.
