Variety: Everyone in our Red Hat group left afternoon tea with the biggest smiles on our face and several teas to have at home. You are made to feel so welcome, the presentation of sandwiches, scones and pastries were beautiful and oh so delicious. We had 2 ladies celebrating birthdays so they had a most delicious cake too. The one birthday girl said it was the best birthday cake she ever had. I can't wait to tell other people about this wonderful teahouse. |

Variety: Dallywater's made the finest, happiest and most memorable birthday party for me since the one my mom gave me for my eighth birthday (quite a few years ago)! At this magnificent party in the warm, homey atmosphere of Dallywater's, my fifteen guests, females AND males of all ages, were treated to a scrumptious seven-course tea of outstanding beauty, presentation, quality and deliciousness. Even though I live in greater metropolitan NYC, I try to make it to Dallywater's as often as possible. I've been in tea rooms in Alaska, California, Illinois, others in New York, in Canada, Scotland, Germany, England and Italy and I can attest that Dallywater's is world class; right up there with the world's finest. It is a gem in a beautiful setting with the best teas, meticulously prepared, delicious... (more) |

Variety: A stroke of good luck finding Dallywater's. The atmosphere is bright, charming and warm. Welsh rarebit scrumptuous with a delightful tangy beet salad to highlight the taste. Scones with clotted cream and strawberries was nothing short of heavenly. Wide selection of teas available to match the meal or dessert. We can not wait until our return as finding Dallywater's is a gift bringing back memories of our trip to England and Scotland. |

Variety: I want to give you and your staff a big thank you. My daughter and sister hosted a Baby Shower for Kristy last month at Dallywaters. What a precious day it was! We loved the intimate setting, the delicious array of food and your very warm and inviting hospitality! The day was absolutely wonderful. Of course it was a hot day, but with all the cold teas and lemonades, and the brewed teas, everyone truly enjoyed themselves. (We were able to go jump in Canandaigua Lake afterward! It was great!) Your place is perfect. We enjoyed your hostess touches, your adorable accent and your wonderful staff, as well. The food was amazing. Still not sure if I could put a favorite on any one, they were all delicious! Best Wishes on your future in Naples. They are very lucky to have you there! |

Variety: I love this place! The food is great, there are tons of teas, served in a rack that allows you to smell them, and the service was excellent. I love the overall atmosphere. It's good eating, and it's also a great place to go for a slice of life. |

Molly, Thank you so much for the lovely review. I am pleased you enjoyed your visit and look forward to welcoming you again. |

Variety: I enjoyed the tea selections offered at Dallywaters. The service and food made for a nice afternoon! I was a bit turned off by the bathroom. They should invest in a hand dryer or paper towels for sanitary purposes. I would recommend this establishment, but bring some hand sanitizer, so you can enjoy your food after a trip to the restroom. |

Tearoom Response
Olivia.... I must correct you on your bathroom comments. We provide ample, quality grade disposable paper hand towels in our restroom. The restroom is small, that is true, but it performs the function it was intended for and, more importantly, it is very CLEAN ... so I see no reason why you should have any objections. It is a little strange that your focus seems to be on the 'smallest room in the house' yet you say almost nothing about the superb teas, lunches and pastries we serve, all made fresh daily in our kitchen, and I do wonder if you have actually been to our establishment at all... or if you are simply posting something critical for some other purpose? The vast majority of our guests love the experience and rate every detail very highly... especially those who have travelled to England or Europe and understand just what a real treasure Dallywater's is.

Variety: Very cute. We enjoyed our selves. The sandwich was slighly bland, both kinds but the bread was very fresh. The tea did sit in the bottom of the pot which did create a very stong taste by the 2nd cup. We will go again. |

Variety: Thank you for such a delightful afternoon tea. We were so pleased with our adventure today. Every bite melted in our mouths ... the choice of teas pleased all of us ... the teapots and the art were wonderful ... your talk was very informative ... and you and your staff were so gracious. Thank you for a pleasant afternoon. I'm sure we'll come again and we will be raving about it to everyone! |

Tearoom Response
Fareweather is an English name, unfortunately for you, the correct spelling is FAIRWEATHER. Shame on you for being so nasty as to make up such a silly name and to leave such mean and untrue words. I'm sure other visitors to Teamap will easily recognize a fraudulent review when they see one.

Variety: This is the second visit to Dallywaters. It is even better than last year. We dined on Welsh Rarebit and several delicious varieties of tea and we had scones with coddled cream and jam. The British owner was so nice and doting. We will always pay a visit every time we pass thru Naples, NY |

Variety: My first visit to Dallywater's will definitely NOT be my last. My aunt and I decided afternoon tea would be the perfect way to spend a Saturday and our experience at Dallywater's made our Saturday together perfect. Dallywater's has a very wide variety of teas -- we tried the Dallywater House Blend Supreme and the Lemon Rooibus -- these did not disappoint. The traditional afternoon tea menu was superb and our window table in the tasting room gave us the perfect chance to have great conversation while enjoying a nice view of Naples's Main Street. The service was excellent and our hostess was ready, willing, and able to quickly answer any questions we had about the tea offerings, the menu, and the items for sale. We definitely will be repeat customers and we will absolutely be bringing more friends with us on our next visit! |

Variety: My sister, her husband and daughter were with me when we recently visited Dallywater's. The entire concept of an afternoon tea was unknown to 3 of us so it was a bit of an adventure. In our opinion, it was a dandy adventure! Tea is not my drink of choice but the Earl Grey was very good. The tea sandwiches were tasty and the pastries were most excellent. The scone was as a scone should be. The older house in which the tea room is located is interesting and the hostess and our server were friendly and most helpful with all of our questions born of oour ignorence. It was a very fun lunch. |

Variety: My sister and I went to Dallywater's 08/08/09 for the afternoon tea. Luckily for us, the newly-named #1 tea room in New York State was not exceptionally busy on this day (even though we heard it had been the previous two days); we were promptly seated at a table for two by a window in the Tea Sampling Room. We had been planning to visit this tea room since we love afternoon tea and hearing about the #1 rating made us want to come even more. The service was great and we enjoyed that all of the teas were brought out for us as samples to smell as we looked at the menu. There were lots of choices and a good variety. We really liked our selections (Night Blooming Jasmine and Lavender Earl Grey) and could have even bought some to take home (which we are considering doing next time). The teas wer... (more) |

Variety: The food was generally of good quality – old building was pleasant, but minimally decorated. There was an adequate selection of loose teas, using a turntable sampler to allow selection by scent - a nice touch. However, the teas were brewed with the loose tea left in the pot, so that subsequent pourings from the pot were acidic and barely drinkable. Sandwiches were flavorful, with a varied selection of 5, but lacking in presentation – rectangles poorly trimmed of crust – in fact, the entire experience lacked in details of presentation – paper napkins, no napkin rings, no tablecloths, no tea cozy to keep the pot warm, plain institutional pots and cups – no English bone china here. The scones are described as ‘fruited’, and are genuine scones, but one raisin = fruited? And no lemon curd? ... (more) |

Tearoom Response
Robert, we do know you as the proprietor and competitor of another tea room / cafe and will politely accept your critique while considering the source. Your review is, sadly, dramatic but we quite understand the dynamics involved. I do wish you would have said something during your visit. As you can see, you are unique in your appraisal of Dallywater's. We wish you all the very best success with your own tea room business.

Variety: Three friends and I held a birthday celebration at Dallywater's last Saturday. The High Tea was a truly memorable event! The teas and the food were delicious (oh, those scones!) and the service was totally charming. Dallywater's is an oasis of elegance in an otherwise bustling world. |

Variety: Our very British, afternoon tea at Dallywater's was a delite! A large selection of whole leaf teas were available (make sure to check out their website, www.dallywaters.com); my favorite definitely was the Lavendar Earl Gray which was lovely. As to the menu, their different finger sandwiches and pastries were delicious. A very pleasant time was had by my sisters, mother, and myself. We are definitely planning a return visit to Dallywater's this Fall. |

Variety: What a wonderful hostess Janice is! As a surprise I took my mother to Dallywater's for her birthday. We chose the full lunch and we each ordered different teas that we could share. The presentation was wonderful, as was the food. We would certainly tell our friends about Dallywater's. |

Variety: My mother-in-law and husband and I truly enjoyed our visit to Dallywater's. The tea selection was superb - we all chose a different variety, and each of our three pots was perfectly brewed. The Devonshire clotted cream was divine, and we greatly enjoyed the light and airy atmosphere. The sandwiches and pastries were lovely, and we can't wait to return! |

Variety: My mother-in-law and I had a wonderfully cozy lunch at Dallywater's. A rainstorm set in while we were seated outside but we were rescued by the ever attentive staff who settled us inside with warm pots of tea (which they refilled with warm water frequently! What a pleasure!). If their walnut celery tart is anything to go by, they have a fine touch in blending flavors in every aspect of tea service. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. |

Variety: My friends and I traveled from Palmyra, a distance but a delightful ride, especially when such treats awaited us. We are great fans of your soups. The sandwiches are a delight, and rather hard to share even with your best friends. The desserts of course were a delight. We couldn't finish them while we there, so some traveled with us for evening snacks. My only wish is that some way could be found to have small(or large!) jars of the wonderful chutney that is on the cheese sandwich, available for purchase. It's hard to pass by the soups, and with the traditonal tea, we found it so filling, it was necessary to carry home the last of our desserts. I don't know how she would ever have time, but if she had the containers, what a treat to be able to take home an extra serving of soup. It was well worth the hour and half drive. Doris 7/26/09 |

Variety: My friend and I treat each other to birthday lunches every year. We always try a new spot and this is our best ever thus far and that's over a 35+ year friendship, so it is quite an impressive compliment. The food was wonderful and the tea selection sublime. Janice greeted us and gave wise selection recommendations when asked for her input. Terrific scones sealed the day for us. They were lighter than air and the clotted cream just added to overall savory delights. The best tea room in the States, hands-down! I recommend their signature Dallywater's Supreme tea as well as the Earl Grey with Lavender. Other teas were so wonderfully scented that we wanted to try them all, but thought it would be better to come back again! |

Variety: It is hard to describe this real British Dallywaters experience to someone who hasn't been there. You walk in to this beautifully-restored Queen Anne structure that is filled with art treasures made by the proprietress' husband. You are seated in one of the beautiful, sunny, and airy rooms. You begin with a loose tea 'sniff-a-thon,' sort of like a winetasting. From there you select the kind of tea you wish. If each one at your table selects a different tea, you can all share and taste one another's. Appropriate cups and china are provided. The food and pastries are fresher than fresh. There is a great variety, too. The melt-in-your mouth scones are served with jam and clotted cream that was brought in from the UK by refrigerated ship. Teas and pastries can be purchased 'to go.' I bought ... (more) |

Variety: I came came here for a wedding hower, and I will certainly come again for myself. The teas are excellent, the flavors perfectly balanced and blended, brewed without a trace of bitterness. The Whispering Heavens blend is my new favorite, adn i bought several ounces to take take home with me. The food, both sweet and savory, was excellent, and the scones exactly what scones should be (and I've been aprofessional baker, so I am very picky about scones.) The airy, spacious rooms of the house are delightful, too. This is the most enoyable English-style tea room I've visited. Thank you! |

Thank you EVERYONE. This has been a most wonderful summer for Dallywater's. We've enjoyed hosting so many really unique events for some lovely people. Variety: I took our Red Hat group(Keuka Glory Girls) to Dallywater's Tea Room on Friday, July 17th. The ride from Penn Yan to Naples was very chatty and we were all excited about going to tea. I have been to many high tea's and tea rooms and this experience went beyond what I had expected. Janice was such a great hostess(the owner)--she explained how she came to America and how she came to find this charming house. She also told us that all the goodies were made on premises. The Devonshire Cream, all the teas come from the UK. The sandwiches were delicious, the scones scrumptous, the sweets--soo yummy and the choice of teas amazing! The Blooming Nighttime Jasmine smelled like the flowers on a warm summer night. My group was very impressed by the little red carnation and thank you card that awaited each and every one of us at our seats. I HIGHLY recommend this delightful day trip to all. More than just tea and scones on the menu. Thank you, Janice. We had a wonderful time and we will all be back! |

Variety: Today (a gift from my husband) I was treated to a tea party to celebrate my birthday with seven of my dearest lady friends at this lovely, elegant tea room. We had a six course spectacular lunch with each course beautifully presented and complimented by the perfectly prepared premium tea. Janice, our hostess and the artist behind the menue selection and creation is the true heart of Dallywater's. She treated everyone as the guest of honor, fully explained the origin and ingredients of each course, and then described and explained the choice of tea. She made this one of the nicest birthdays I have ever had and I would recommend her, her very wonderful tea selection, her delicious pastries and any lunch she serves to everyone. Variety: My friend and I visited the Dallywater's Tea Room on a Thursday at the noon hour and had a very enjoyable lunch: our food was delicious, wonderful presentation of our food and tea, our hostess was very knowledgable about the different tea selections and though we were there almost 2 hours, we never felt rushed to finish our meal. We chose the full lunch: sandwiches, scones with homemade strawberry jam and clotted cream, meringues and layered tea cake. My friend and I chose different teas and sandwiches so we could sample each other's selection - we enjoyed them all. The service was wonderful and our tea pots were always kept filled with hot water. Variety: My husband and I found this tearoom on vacation and loved it so much we went back a second day. The first day, we had scones and clotted cream/jam and a really good vanilla tea. We were given samples of the loose-leaf tea to sniff before giving our order. That was great because it helped narrow down our choices. We had gotten there a half hour before closing but were never made to feel rushed. It was a true restorative tea break experience. We went back the second day to take more time and have lunch. We had sandwiches and little desserts (and more fabulous clotted cream) and tried a different tea. Everything was very good! I loved the house that it is in and being able to look at artwork on the walls. It has a nice, big porch were you can eat as well. I wish I lived closer; I would bring my friends for a ladies day out. |

Variety: My best friend and I travel from different parts of the state to discover tea rooms. Dallywater's was a two-hour drive for me one way, and worth every minute. We savored our sandwiches and cakes for three hours. Food IS the most important part of tea and one can tell everything is made from scratch when the door opens. Delightful! I think there were 17 kinds of loose tea to choose from. The restaurant is fairly new, sparkling clean and well-lighted. From ceiling to floor the owners have paid attention to every renovating detail. We were charmed by the authentic English-style tea. And Janice herself! |

Variety: I found Dallywaters charming mainly due to the availability of the owner for conversation with English accent along with delicious, authentic English taste treats. Afterwards, I found myself having missed more feminine, flowery tea cups/tea pots vs. the all white, rather modern china. |

Variety: The destination was Naples and Dallywater's for tea. Everthing about the experience was lovely, from the scenic drive to the ambience of the Tea Room. The hostess was charming and took very good care of us throughout our visit. We enjoyed chatting with her and hearing the story of Dallywater's. Her talents in menu planning and tea selections were obvious. I especially enjoyed the scones and sweats. Complimenting the setting were many framed pieces of art and a selection of tea themed gifts for sale. I would highly recommend a visit to Naples and Dallywater's. Ann 3/20/09 |

Variety: I visited Dallywaters on Valentine's Day. What a wonderful experience! There were six of us at our table and the restaurant was very busy. One would never have known this. The owner, Janice, introduced each tea with an explanation and s 'sniff' test. she explained the sandwiches and pastries and spent time answering questions. The teas were wonderful, as was the food. Being British I am quite fussy about my 'cuppa' and like my tea strong. Janice asked me if I like it strong and I was not disappointed. I intend to visit again and urge you to do the same. |

Variety: Today our tea circle traveled to Dallywaters for their Valentine's Day tea. What a wonderful experience. The proprietor took the time to explain each choice of tea and to allow us to savor the aroma. The tea sandwiches, scones and desserts were phenomenal and the presentation and atmospher was esthetically appealing. I especially enjoyed the heart shaped custard cream scone...yummy. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon! |
