Food: I visited Emerald Necklace Tea Room and giftshop hoping to purchase a few gifts. As I entered the establishment, I was taken off guard, as there was a large group of people waiting in the 'gift shop' area. I was rudely greeted by the owner, and aked if I was taking up one of the parking spaces. I new very well that I was not welcome there, even though I tried to explain I just wanted to look around the gift shop to make a purchase. I still cannot believe in this economy that a shop owner could afford to be as rude as she was. I will never, ever step foot in that place again. There are way too many businesses that I can take my hard earned money and spend it. I have never in my 50 years of life been treated so rudely especially at a place of business. Food: This is a Bed and Breakfast, hair salon, gift shop and tea room. I think the owner would be better focusing on one business. The tea room is lovely but the food is not very good. It is expensive for what you get. The scones were cold and tasteless. The tea sandwiches were not very special. Would not go back. The gift shop was cheap looking nick nacks. She does have a selection of tea but the shop turned me off so that I did not even bother to look. Also, having a hair salon in the same building as a tea room is not very inviting. |
