With the exception of one tea, this tea room serves only bag tea! That is like a coffee house serving instant coffee. They didn't even have a tea menu and the waitress struggled to name their teas. Definately not my idea of a tea room.

I went to The English Rose wit my mother and brother today and we got the afternoon and Victorian tea. Though there is only one tea *served* at The English Rose, there are plenty of teas for sale at the gift shop as you walk in. The atmosphere is lovely. Many tea cups cover the walls and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's portrait is on the wall over the fireplace, very lovely. The food is very good; I did not have the chance to try everything, but there are many classic British foods on the menu which I would have loved to try. The gift shop is a lovely place. There are lots of tea cups and tea pots. There's probably twenty different varieties of teaspoons one can buy too. Over all it was a wonderful experience and I look forward to going again.

My friend and I went to the English Rose last Friday - the day of the Royal Wedding. How fun! The tea room was jam packed with ladies, adding to the excitement of the day, there was a flat-screen TV brought in to run coverage of the wedding festivities, and then for dessert, they had the recipe for Prince William's groom's cake, which was delicious! Such a fun and festive day! I am a regular at the English Rose, and highly recommend it.
