At '512,' hundreds of teas are available to choose from. The owners are very knowledgable about all the aspects of tea. Food served here is quite delicious. My husband and I have eaten here and love the elegant variety on the menu. The Victorian decor makes you feel that you are in a very grand, very special place. The owners have led very interesting lives and love to tell about experiences from their travels around the world. This is authentic, the real thing on the teahouse circuit, and a memorable place to savor old world charm. Phyllis & Kevin

My husband and I found this tea room delightful! They were just about to close, but the couple insisted we come on in and enjoy lunch. They were very gracious and gave us a wonderful tour of the house and back yard accompanied by their wonderful stories.

This is definitely not a place for children and I actually commend them for not allowing young children to ruin the atmosphere. I love kids to death, but bring them back to a tea room when they are old enough to learn and enjoy.

Hosted by one of the most fascinating tea room ownersI have had the pleasure to talk with, the FiveTwelveCollege Tea Room provides an experience simultaneously relaxing, delicious, and educational. A regular full-course afternoon tea is served with a select number of loose leaf teas. Everything is done with an eye to tradition, including the shapes of the sandwiches - soldiers, diamonds, and butterflies. The owner has been all over the world and is full of wonderful stories about tea she has had in far away places. A wonderful place all around!

We had a great visit. Very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. I can't imagine why you would want to bring a small child here though. It would really ruin the ambiance to sit and listen to a fussy baby. I would never bring my 6 month old to a place like this because I feel it would ruin the experience for everyone around us if she cried or fussed.

In defense of tea rooms every where bringing a child of any age that is not able to sit still and 'behave' is quite frankly not welcome. I'm sure I am backed by many a tea room on my posting(see the post below) Why would 'Melissa' pick this type of venue without getting a babysitter for her child....c'mon wise up.

If you are trying to visit this tea room with a young child, you may want to think twice. My family took me here for my birthday, and we were turned away after a rude employee asked us to leave because my 9 month old son was hungry and making noise when we first walked in. I would never even consider returning to this establishment after the way we were treated!
