I had the pleasure of visiting this Tea Room while on vacation with my husband. I thought the Tea was very tasty and the food delicous. The staff was very friendly. While we did not have a reservation they were very accommodating. If I am ever in Golden again I will surely stop in to visit. I think anyone who lives in this area would have a wonderful afternoon at the The Golden Tea Time.

Today I happened across this tea shop while strolling along Clear Creek with my son. We stopped in to see if they offered an afternoon cream tea. The cheerful wait staff seated us right away, though we didn't have a reservation and in less than 10 minutes we had a large pot of 'English Breakfast' and lovely plates of heart shaped scones with clotted cream, strawberry jam and fruit. The food was lovely but the tea was not. Even my ten year old son wrinkled his nose at the first sip. I would have preferred bagged Lipton to what was in my cup but overall, we had a lovely visit and would probably return. The tea room is charming. If they put a bit more time into their tea, they'd have a real winner of a place.

I am a regular visitor to this tea shop/light lunch room. This is not a place for a tea tasting certainly, but a homey, comfortable shop that serves good food in a small, small historic house. Regulars go because of the standard menu and sense of leaving the rat race outside the door.
