A huge variety of teas. I never knew there were so many teas until I went into Gong-Fu. Sample-sniff a variety of teas in glass containers on the wall and either choose from that or from the extensive menu, complete with descriptions of all of the teas. One of the best chamomiles I've ever had. Serenity Now is also a good one. I could spend all day just smelling the different teas in Gong-Fu. Check it out for a wonderful atmosphere for hanging out, reading, studying, or just enjoying a cup of tea.

You've heard of the Wall of China - well, this is the Wall of Tea. What an assortment! One wall is filled with glass containers you can personally open and smell. When you find what you like, you may purchase it from the counter. Each tea comes in its own foil pouch and exact directions on how to prepare from water temperature to steeping time. I was very impressed.

Exceptional store. If there was a rating higher than excellent, I would select it. The location is unpretentious and calming. Their selection is choice and the owners are some of the most approachable and knowledgeable in the industry (I have experience traveling around the country and visiting many tea stores). I live in Oregon now but I still buy my teas at Gong Fu Online. Gong Fu made me a tea lover.

Gong Fu is peaceful and quiet during the weekday, and an absolute retreat every time I stop by. The selection of teas is vast, and the staff is knowledgeable and enthusiastic. They won't bother you no matter how long you spend nursing your cup. One of the treasures of Des Moines.

I love Gong Fu! The atmosphere at the shop is wonderful, and the tea is absolutely divine! It's hard to choose teas, sometimes, because there are so many, and they're so good. Unfortunately, I'm moving out to California soon, and will have to leave my beloved Gong Fu behind. :( HIGHLY recommended.

I have always left Gong Fu feeling better than when I walked inside. Mike is always able to recommend a few teas and has never let me down. The ambience is relaxing, especially the back room. I make it a point to visit whenever I'm back in Des Moines.
