Variety: A group of us travelled from N. VA to attend a 70th Birthday Tea for our friend Sibbie Chambers. It was well worth the trip! The food was delicious, but everyone agreed the chicken salad was the best we have ever had the pleasure to eat. There were so many favorable comments that Ginger posted the recipe on her website. I am looking forward to purchasing her cookbook when another shipment arrives. The Briar Patch Tea Room is a wonderful experience which you will not want to miss!! |

Variety: I attended a superb 70th birthday celebration for my special friend, Sylvia, at the Briar Patch. This was my first visit and I was highly impressed. The food is delicious and beautiful to look at. Ginger makes all of the breads, fillings and desserts from scratch. She and her husband, Ron, are gracious hosts. I highly recommend it to everyone. Love going back again. |

Variety: What a delightful surprise after a 2 hour drive to attend a 70th Birthday Tea to find this charming tea room on Sept 18th! I was impressed with the food selections to go with the teas. Several menu items were well worth asking to have the recipes. Thank you Ginger for sharing the chicken salad! I will serve that to my friends. The oatmeal and parsley bread with cucumber was delicious. Let us know when your cookbooks are available again. Gourmet Briar Patch was a perfectly charming setting for this special friend's birthday tea! |

Variety: A charming tea house that offers single estate teas, fresh, homemade, varied and delectable scones, tea breads, sandwiches, savories, and desserts. You won't leave the establishment hungry. The price for this feast was far less than it should have been, but I wasn't about to quibble! The owners are a knowledged, accomodating couple and Ginger treated us to a lovely, pitch-perfect rendition of America The Beautiful! Now that's accomodating! I will, without hesitation, return for more 'Moyer Pampering' as soon as possible! |

Variety: I hosted a 70th birthday tea party at the Briar Patch on my birthday Sept. 16. Ginger and Ron Moyer are a superb, knowledgeable couple who keeps you informed on what's being served as it's being served. The interior and tables were beautifully decorated. The price of each person's tea was excellent. This is the second time I've hosted an event at the Briar Patch, and I'm completely pleased. I'll return again and again. The food is prepared the day before and morning of for all events, which makes for delicious tasting servings. Ginger also has a beautiful voice and will sing at your tea. I now have awesome memories thanks to Ginger and Ron. |

Variety: This is absolutely the BEST tea room in VA. I attended a special 70th birthday party yesterday for my good friend (Sibbie)and was so impressed. The food was absolutely delicious and unlike some teas, you go away absolutely full of great food. Every item was organically created and the owners were so friendly and full of information about the preparation of the food. I really liked all of it, but you must have the chicken salad with almonds and cranberries in a WonTon cup -- too die for! I begged for the recipe! This is a tea shop which should be rated NO. 1 in the South, not just VA. Please do not miss this one. Ginger was the sweetest hostess. I hope she gets more cookbooks in soon, for I would like to have one of those. |

Tearoom Response
Thank you for the kind words. I love people and serving them. I am out of the cookbooks, but here is the chicken salad recipe: 6 lg boneless & skinless chicken breast baked to 165 degrees for 10 plus seconds. (Don't overbaked - dry),chopped; 2 c craisins, chopped; 2 c almonds, chopped; 8 stalks celery, chopped; and about 2 c DUKE's Mayonnaise; salt and peper to taste. I prepare using a food processor and Mix in a container that can be made airtight for storage. Slowly add the Dukes to the dry ingredients using just enough to hold together. Cover and chill overnight before serving. Use only Dukes or the flavor will not be the same. I hope this works for you. Blessings and Joy.Please come back when you can we so enjoyed all the beautiful ladies that came. g |

Variety: This was my first visit to a tearoom. I went with my sisters & mother and we had the most wonderful time together in this lovely tearoom. The tea variety was extensive and the homemade food was absolutely delicious. The tearoom is decorated beautifully and the prices are very reasonable. I recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing time for Afternoon Tea with friends or family. |

Variety: I have visited this tea room twice, and both times were delightful. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. Ginger makes all of the breads, fillings and desserts from scratch. She and her husband, Ron, are gracious hosts. Ron serves the tea, and he is well-informed about each type. Ginger explains what each food item is. The atmosphere is antique-country. We cannot wait to return. |

Variety: I have visited this tea room on several occasions and the food is delicious and well worth the price. I stopped going, because they stopped serving herbal and/or decaffeinated teas. The last time I went for tea...I drank water. One other thing I find highly inappropriate: there is only one waiter/owner. At the cash register, he always asks if I want to include a tip. Awkward, to say the least. They either need a machine that allows the customer to discreetly add a tip, or trust the customer to take care of it in another way. I wouold love to go back under different circumstances. |

Tearoom Response
I am sorry about your inability to to have an herbal tea. We deal primarily with a tea estate from India. In an attempt to keep our cost to the customer down we choose to limit our teas to those from Tea plants and/or those that are asked for on a daily basis. We do have decaf coffee. We are small and credit systems are very costly. Ours has been designed for our size and does not afford us an opportunity to process it twice like the big places do. We cannot keep our prices for a Full Tea at $10.50 (including the tax) if we do not try keep our administrative cost down. I hope this helps you understand why we are not like others. Blessings be with you and yours.

Variety: I am a frequent customer of this tea room and always enjoy the warm ambiance, excellent food and featured teas. The owners are truly lovely and add a quality of care and welcome that is a rare treasure to find. The special events are of consistent quality and most recently, I have greatly enjoyed the fellowship as we scrapbooked together, followed by a light lunch. This tea room comes with the highest recommendation and appreciation of a customer who enjoys quality and ambiance. |
