Green Teahouse

When I first visited the Green Teahouse, I had no experience with loose tea, high quality tea, and especially traditional Asian teas. The staff quickly remedied that by offering samples to taste and by letting me smell any of the 100 varieties they offer. They were friendly and knowledgeable and helped me pick out teas I would like based on flavor and on the particular health benefits that interested me. They also taught me the best way to prepare tea, so mine would taste as good as theirs.

As soon as you walk into the Green Teahouse, the atmosphere transports you to someplace calm and nearly ethereal. The combination of the aromas, soothing music, and warm color palette made me forget it was a miserably cold winter night the first time I visited.

In conclusion, I'm ent... (more)irely dependent on the Green Teahouse for my life's happiness. Along with their cups of tea to cup, they serve bubble tea--to which I am addicted. I highly recommend this tearoom for both those new to tea and the aficionados. And apparently I am not alone in my opinion; they've won the Hartford Advocate's Best Place to Buy Loose Tea two years in a row.
