Food was great, scones were the best that i have ever had, We tried the flowering tea, it bloomed into a flower basket, you can actually see the handle and it had a jasmine flavor. Then we tried one of the other loose teas named Chocalote Monkey, I have never really liked hot tea, but they haved changed my mind, I actually bought a glass teapot, and some of the flowering tea to take home to try with my granddaughter. we will be back!! Their tea choices are very limited, just black loose leaf. They had a nice fruit selection on the plate and they had some very good shortbread sticks for dipping. I did not enjoy the finger sandwiches - they were fairly sweet. There were way too many chocolate desserts. The woman who runs the tea room is very friendly and it has a great location with a quaint store next door.

We have 18 different flavors of loose tea, and two large baskets full of teabags to choose from, for the people who are still not ready to try the loose teas . I'm sorry if you couldn't find one that you liked. And I don't think i have ever heard a woman say there is to much chocolate on my plate. Each person gets 3 different desserts, and 3 different kinds of sandwiches, and fruit, plus your appetizers so hopefully you left full.

We had the best time at this sweet little tea room. There were many flavors of teas to choose from, We were able to pick from a variety of tea bags. The food was to die for. The service was superb!! This was just for a walk in lunch even, I can't imagine what a high tea would consist of.. This is a great alternative to fast food, and all of those chain restuarants...WE WILL BE BACK!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter had her 8th birthday party at the Hannaford House and everything was wonderful! They were excellent with the girls and had a variety of hats and boas for the girls to choose from. We are planning to go back for lunch soon and cant wait. If you are looking for a unique birthday party experience for your birthyday girl then Hannnaford House is the place to call. They also have amazing American Girl clothing for sale! Thanks for everything!!!

I wanted to add, that My frinds and our daughters had so much fun having a Tea Party. My daughter (Kendall) is already wanting to make plans for another Tea Party! You were very accomodating towards the kid friendly foods. Which were cheese sandwiches, peanut butter sandviches, chicken & dumpling soup (which my daughter loved) & of course Hot Chocolate instead of Hot Tea! We had a group of friends meet for lunch and we had the best time! We sat and chatted over old times, we were relaxed and not rushed at all. The butternut squash soup is the best I've ever had, my chicken salad croissant was wonderful. We plan to go back soon for a HIgh Tea. This is just what Wilmington needed, Thanks Hannaford House..

My Red Hat Group attended High Tea for our Christmas meeting. The service was excellent, the food very good, the atmosphere charming. My group thoroughly enjoyed the visit and many decided to come again. I liked it so much I took my grandaughter there for High Tea,which is a tradition for us at Christmastime, and she really enjoyed it too. It is so nice to have such a wonnderful place so close to home. I have recommednded the Hannaford House to many of my friends.

A true treasure in downtown Wilmington. We enjoyed being pampered for our High Tea we had there on December 7, 2007. Everything was wonderful and Tracy & Pam made us feel right at home.
Everyone should take time out to visit the Hannaford House right away! Wonderful food and gorgeous setting.

Great atmosphere: warm, friendly service.Not 'stuffy'(you can order coffee and not feel like it's a faux pas). Beautifully decorated. Good variety and value.
We liked the squash soup, shortbread with apple butter,the cream cheese/pepper jelly spread, and the pumpkin roll.
Great place to have so close to home!

What a delight!! This house was recently restored and has two beautiful tea rooms in it and a bed & Breakfast. All service was outstanding, teas and food were excellent and wonderfull deserts.
We were greeted and treated as thouh we were family. A wounderful place to set and relax and chat with other custumers
