Had a lovely tea today at Harmony Tea. A lovely selection of teas, service was excellent. Food was deliciously prepared. It is a lovely cozy place not too girly for the menfolk.

I took my 10 year old daughter and two guests for lunch and we had a wonderful time. The service was professional and the food quite different and tasty. What a great place for a special occasion or just for lunch with the girls.

I had my 40th birthday party on Sunday, October 25th, 2009. I picked the Tranquili-tea package, the food was very tasty and plenty of it. I had 19 guests there which was pushing it for the size room. A few people were sitting very uncomfortably. A guest was standing a lot due to the fact of where she was siting was the way to the bathroom and no one could get past if she were to stay seated. Which upset me.

The other complaint I had was the waitress, very very friendly and accommodating when she came out. I always had to ask her to ask my guests if they wanted more to drink. A guest even had to ask her for a glass of water. A guest had to ask for a tea cup another had to ask for a fork. This was after waiting for her to come back out, which took a while.

The kitchen is v... (more)

I took my 5 year old granddaughter to tea for her birthday.she and I were just delighted. it was our first time and we both enjoyed it very much. Sandwiches were delicious. My granddaughter loved the chocolate chip scone she had and felt so impoortant to be able to pour her own lemonmade from her very own teapot. she was in awe of the place. she commented that it was very quiet and the musice so relaxing. she had a wonderful time. You made our special day priceless. thank you and as my granddaughter said we will have to do it again. Maybe bring her cousin next time. thanks again.

My friend and I were very pleased with our afternoon tea at Harmony. Our soups, salads, tea sandwiches, scones, tea and dessert treats were all exceptional. Service was wonderful and friendly. I think it would be a great idea if some of the delicious recipes were posted online (hint, hint).

Had a lovely afternoon tea amidst beautiful teal blue walls and wonderful artwork. Tea was brewed perfectly and we had a choice of 4 different scones. Soup, sandwiches and desserts were not only delicious but fresh and pleasingly presented. Can't wait to bring our tea group here!

My daughter was visiting from California with her children and surprised me with a lunch at the Harmony Tea Room. This was my Mother's Day gift and I must admit, a very special one. It was our first visit to Harmony and certainly will not be the last. The food, atmosphere, service and attention to detail was outstanding. Also, the variety of teas and food presentation was excellent. I strongly recommend a visit for an enjoyable afternoon.

I took a friend to Harmony back in January for a lunchtime birthday tea. We LOVED it! Everything was top-notch and very creative. The tea was delicious, the sandwiches were super, the desserts were yummy and the soup was wonderful! The only critique I have is the expense. I've been to teas in Manhattan for about $30 a person where there were unlimited sandwiches and a larger amount of food. The tradeoff at Harmony is the gourmet aspect of the food - it is very creative and very good. But at about $18 a person (there are various options so this isn't the only price) it's too expensive for a lunchtime visit. It's much more of a special occassion place - which is a shame because if it was a bit more affordable, I would definitely have lunch there more often! Perhaps a lunch menu hovering around $10 a person with a slightly more limited selection of items but larger portions would be a good idea?

Tearoom Response
Elizabeth,
Thanks for the compliments. I would encourage people to come in for lunch as we have a soup/salad/tea option for 13.95 and a recent addition of soup or salad with a savory scone and tea for $8.95. Hope to see you again.

My 2 daughters, new granddaughter and I had a delightful and relaxing afternoon tea here. The food, pleasant service, charming Victorian surroundings and especially the variety of teas (served in attractive individual teapots complete with tea cozy), were great. I highly recommend it.

I had my daughter's 'princess tea party' here-it was terrible. The staff were lazy, unprepared and disorganized. For the $30 per child plus tip price-I felt ripped off and extremely disappointed. The room was too small and the staff could not handle 2 parties at once. Definately DO NOT book this for a party or your birthday girl will end up in tears!

Tearoom Response
Britt,
I'm sorry your expectations were not met. We have had numerous princess parties in this past year and no one has left unhappy. We have a routine for the party and it was run by and experienced staff member. As we discussed I think the girls were too young for this event. It is hard for us to engage children when they are clining to their parents legs. It was our first party in our new Enchanted Garden Party Room and I agree that having the parents in the room makes it a bit crowded and that situation has been resolved.

I took my mother and grandmother to tea yesterday, as a Christmas gift. We had a wonderful time, and I was really impressed by all of the thought put into the details of the 'tea', from the decor, to the place settings and service. The tea was yummy (I had the vanilla black tea, mom tried the Rainbow which had a wonderful Amaretto aroma) and was brewed perfectly. With the cozy, it stayed hot throughout our lunch. The finger sandwiches were nice, with a couple unexpected and tasty touches (beet puree! who would have thought), and we LOVED the cheese/olive ball and asian chicken salad. We also added on salad and soup which were impressive and homemade. I disagree w/ other comments that the portions are small. The condiments for the scones are served in ramekins, were tasty and perfectly portioned. I'm definitely coming back for my birthday (and any other occasion!), but will also try to get there for brunch.

We arrived with three ladies and three active young girls age 5-7 and all had a wonderful time! The atmosphere is comfortable and charming -- not stuffy. The food was the best I've had at any 'high tea' including in England and fancy big city hotels. The squash/pear soup was perfect. The house salad with cranberry cinnamon goat cheese was indescribably tasty. And the adult sandwich treats were gourmet yet extremely approachable. Plus, the chocolate chip scone was the moistest I've ever tasted. The owner was warm, welcoming, and has clearly put her heart and soul into this place. I hope this tea house succeeds!
