Love the food at the Hawthorn Tea Room. We love the Trio plate because it gives us a wonderful variety. The staff is friendly. The tea menu is four pages long and is outstanding. The scones are to die for. We always buy extra scones to go!

I love the food at the Hawthorn Tea Room, I am a bit picky and very health conscientious. The food is always just the way I want it. The last time I was there it was very busy but the service was not lacking.

I meet at Hawhtorn Tea Room with friends two or 3 times a year and we've had excellent selections of food and tea. The portions are just right, never too salty. There is always room for a delicious, fresh scone, and many amazing tea flavors. I look forward to each visit, and leave thoroughly satisfied.

I was extremely surprised to read such positive reviews after my visit. The service was horrible, the lady was nice enough, but she was not attentive AT ALL. Also, the food was nothing special.

I am sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. The tea room is currently undergoing a transition and an additional employee has been added for the core lunch hours. My expectation is that service will improve.

Had a wonderful time, very friendly attentive service, delicious food. My 3 friends and I visiting Tacoma had a leisurely teatime and enjoyed each other's company and didn't feel rushed.
