This place is awesome! My search for a great tea room in the Tacoma area is over. I'd been to a handful of places, but I kept looking because they were just so so. Hawthorn has everything I was wishing for in a place to call my 'tea' home. Selection, quality, service, cleanliness ...check, check, check, and check.

We recently took a group of 12 ladies to the Hawthorn Tea Room and had a wonderful experience! Laurie and Kathy were so great to work with, allowing us to personalize the food selections. Everything was so beautifully presented, the food was delicious and the friendly service made our stay exceptional. Thank you so much for a lovely day!

Here we are, a year later! My friends and I are regulars the THE ONLY tea room in Tacoma! The service and food cant be beat! It's the only place for food outside of MarketSpice (in the Market in Seattle) with such a HUGE tea selection, and they are always getting new flavors in. The tea classes that are offered every month are fun and are well taught. This is a place for people who love tea, good food and good people.

My girlfriends & I chose this tearoom to celebrate my birthday last month, it was a excellent choice, the tea menu had many selections of teas & you could try different one with every pot if you choose too, which was really fun to taste all the different flavors. The food & service was outstanding, Laurie was great and even took a couple pictures for me. All the girls had a great time & we are making plans to return. My only suggestion is that you update your picture on TeaMap because your TeaRoom has been painted, so people will find you more easily. Thanks for help making my birthday special.
