Variety: Had Tea Nov. 7th. They food was excellent and plentiful. A very good selection of teas prepared the proper way. The Queen Tea more than enough and good variety. Had taken some home. The service was excellent staff let us stay as long as we wanted and I appreciated the little tea tutorial before ordering. |

Variety: A tearoom that lives up to the hype! There are very few tea houses that are worth making a special trip for--this is definitely one of them. Just be sure to make a reservation FAR in advance. I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to go, but couldn't because there were no available tables. |

Variety: What a gem! The perfect place to take a break from the hectic world and catch up with friends. The personal attention was great and the food was delicious. |

Variety: I dropped into this tea house yesterday with a friend I was visiting, and had a wonderful relaxing experience. There was an excellent selection of teas to choose from, and the food was delicious. I own a tea house in the San Francisco Bay Area and I could not have found a better place to have a nice relaxing time with a friend I had not seen for over 5 years. The service was also excellent. Thanks again for such a delightful afternoon tea experience. |

Variety: I have visited the tea house plenty of times. I had my baby shower here back in August, 2007 and all my quest still rave about how great everything and everyone was. Me, my mom and sister love coming back and enjoying the 'Queens Tea'. Definetly a customer for life!! |

Variety: I have visited so many tea houses and this by far is the best. The unique decor, the delicious food and beverage definitely sets this apart from all the rest. I think the staff here is also remarkable. The hostesses and the sweet young servers add to the delight of dining here. What a beautiful place to fellowship with friends over a delicious cup of tea and fine desserts. Thank you Barbara and friends for bringing such character and class to Wayne. Lois |

Variety: If it is possible to say too many good things about a place, then I will try to do so. I was finally able to take tea here on Saturday with two friends. How did I not ever get here before (I live only a few minutes away). The place is beautiful, very cozy. The selection of teas, just amazing (I had the Tibetan Tiger, and had to buy some to take home). We all had the Princess tea, and I can say the Tomato Basil soup was so very good. The scones, excellent (caramel and apricot), and the tea savories also (cream cheese and cucumber, chicken salad, a brucshetta, spinach and cheese ball, and a artichoke/cheese spread on french bread). I could not resist the Margarita Pie. We have already planned our next visit for September. Also, the gift shop is wonderful; I had to force my way out of there (but really wanted to just browse a bit more!). We never felt rushed, actually stayed about 3 hours total. A wonderful experience! |

Variety: I was recently honored at a retirement celebration held at your High SocieTea House. EVERYTHING was perfect. The attention paid to the details was exceptional(Rosebuds in the clotted cream, for example). All of the ladies in attendance had a wonderful time, and we enjoyed the opportunity to wear our 'tea' hats. They even remembered me with gifts right from your lovely gift shop! It was a memorable afternoon. I'm really looking forward to my next visit. Thanks! |

Variety: I'm so glad we chose this establishment for our first experience at a tearoom. Can't wait to go back, food was excellent, not skimpy at all. Service and owner were so pleasant. Would recommend it to anyone-reservation definitely needed. Christine 5/17/09 |

Variety: For my 50th Birthday 3 of my cousin's (like sisters to me) brought me to High SocieTea House. WOW what an experience! For start to finish it was a wonderful lunch. From the tea, scones, salad, soup, quiche, assorted savories, sweets, & dessert. The decor is beautiful! The staff, service, & even their gift shop was fantastic. I can't stop raving about High SocieTea House! I absolutely loved it! Everything about this establishment was truly wonderful. I would recommend the High SocieTea House to anyone who truly wants to enjoy a unique experience. I was planning my next visit before I left. I gave 'The Queen's Tea' to my mother-in-law and her mom for their Mother's Day gift. We will be making reservations soon. I can't wait...they are going to love it! |

Variety: I took my sister-in-law here for a relaxing afternoon in anticipation of her upcoming wedding. This was our first tea house experience. I was nervous taking her to a place neither of us had been before because she is a trained pastry chef and self-proclaimed food critic. We LOVED it. The scones were delicious. The service was pleasingly slow and we enjoyed almost two hours of gabbing, an abundance of tea and tasty treats. We decided we would make it a tradition to treat each other on our birthdays. Cannot wait to come back!! |

Variety: I LOVE this tea house and have gone here regularly, but this past Sunday it took almost 1 hour just to get our food and the girl didn't seem to know what she was doing and was VERY slow. I was going to say something but since this tea house is a regular spot of mine i just felt i was better off letting it go. The other girl that i have seen before seemed like she was moving with ease through her tables, but our girl... I am wondering if the girl we had was new or she was just having a bad night. |

Tearoom Response
After reading your comments I am sorry to hear that you and your guests had an unsatisfactoy visit. Sunday was a beautiful day and it was the type of day we have where no one is in a rush to leave. It was also busy all day and yes I believe your server was a bit overwelmed. We apologise, but please in the future please let us know at the time if there is a problem, so that we can discuss and correct it immediately.Thank you for your support. Bernadette |

Variety: In reponse to Taylor's review on 11/17/08, I believe the High Societea that Taylor is referring to is located in Brisbane, Australia. I too had a very similar experience with Taylor with the Brisbane High Societea - the male manager had absolutely zero people skill and tried charge us for meals we did not order. On top of that he refused to refund my $100 booking deposit. It is nice to sea some teahouses doing the right thing and such good reviews from your customers. It's a shame you are on the other side of the globe though or I'd most definitely be visiting you. |

Variety: I have been to High Socitea MANY time with many different friends and have NEVER had a bad experience. It would have been interesting for Taylor to have posted the street address or city in which the tea house she visited was so we can stay away -- it certainly was not this one since everyone has always been overly friendly and helpful here!! |

Variety: Went without reservation and was greeted warmly and efficiently. Had the 'princess tea' which included soup, salad, scones, and savories-all fantastic! The butternut squash pear soup paired nicely with the salad of feta, almonds, and pomegranate viniagrette. The caramel scones and homemade lemon curd were delightful. Plan to make a third, 4th, and many more trips back in the future. |

Variety: Bernadette, Barbara & Colleen, I can attest to the fact that Taylor has the wrong Tea house. Recently I visited several Tea rooms in NJ, NY and PA. You have outdone them all. The food, service and the teas you serve as well as the atmosphere is the best I've experienced. I plan to continue to visit as often as possible. I should also add that my daughter Tara's bridal shower you catered was impressive. My family and friends still talk about it even though it was two years ago! Thanks. |

Variety: If you do not have a male manager I must be mistaken with another store of the same name. If this is the case I am sorry to cause such a disturbance. All I can say is that it is a shame you have to share your business name with such places as I have visited. And judging by the service values you listed, perhaps you could teach the other same name shops a thing or two about customer service. |
