Although I told a friend to not go to this location instead - the service was horrible, she decided to give it a try.

She was just as disappointed as I was. The owner was rude to her and made her feel as though she should feel honored to be eating there. No, the owner should feel honored and grateful that anyone is going to her expensive location in the tight economy that we are in.

My friend went to this shop with a few girlfriends and they were all shocked at the treatment they received. A shop owner should know that without happy customers your business won't last long. Bottom line this is one store I would gladly see go out of business. This woman should not be in a business that provides service directly to customers. I once even heard she called the police on a customer!

Be ware and stay away! There is a nice little shop with a WONDERFUL owner down the road in Thousand Oaks.

Exceeded expectations, the food was amazing and owners, Jenn and Ken, were delightful and a joy to be around!

Absolutely love this Tearoom, we were here twice over the Holidays and everything was super! From the tea cart where you can smell the teas, to the scones straight from the oven and all the made to order menu items you can't go wrong. The service is exceptional, Britt, Cherie and Kyle go out of their way to make you feel more than welcome and nothing is too much trouble with quirky diet restrictions. The owners Jen and Ken are very gracious, warm and welcoming. The positive reviews here reflect the hundreds of loyal patrons who appreciate the dedication to making this gem so outstanding. To Bonnie below, we were there on the 27th, you must have been the rude lady who arrived an hour late for the groups reservation and then started clicking her fingers to get attention...shame on you, learn some manners.

Rude owner and extremely rude server. I am quite surprised by the positive reviews about the service. I would never reccomend this place and will not return. They pretend to be a classy experience but in reality they are just nasty.

Three and a half hours and we had to beg for check to get out of there in under 4 hours. They were overwhelmed and let us know what a burden the customers were. This is no cheap place. One expects more, like the fact that they have the ability to deal with a full tea house. Tea was good, but kids and parents shouldn't have to wait for 2 hours for scones to arrive, no matter how good they might be.

As always it is a treat to have tea at this wonderful treaure of a tea room. I have been there 3 times since August and plan to be there at leat once more before the year ends.
The food is delicious and the service perfect. The owner is gracious and entertaning.
All this with just some hot water and leaves is magic!

This is a long detailed review. Just wanted to let you know I warned you!

It was a busy weekend at the High Tea Cottage for 4 of us this past weekend and I want to tell you about all 3 times we went Friday 11/11/11 Saturday 11/12/11 and Sunday 11/13/11.

Firstly we went to the 11/11/11 event on Friday. They had an $11 menu because it was 11/11/11/ We had 2.30pm reservations and were seated on arrival. The tables were set with lovely fresh roses and Royal Albert china, (we looked!!). They had 7 different Teas and we each ordered a different pot, an extra $2 which was lovely and cheaper than Starbucks! Jen the owner came over and thanked us for coming and when I commented on how busy they were she told us one of her servers had called in sick at the last minute and apolo... (more)gized if there was any wait in advance. The menu offered was a 3 course Tea which would normally be $25.50 for $11 and a 2 course Tea that would normally be $29 also for $11.00 I chose the 3 course tea, my friends chose the Beef Vegetable soup, amazing flavor and a big bowl too, Tomato Soup with fresh Basil cream, another great taste and large bowl and our 4th friend had the salad with tomato, cucumber, fresh pineapple, strawberry, carrot and kiwi fruit. It was plentiful, fresh and looked delicious. My 3 course tea was all serve at once, really fresh, the tea sandwiches were cucumber, white meat chicken with cranberries and walnuts and curried egg. When the tier arrived with all my food I realized I had forgotten to say no nuts on my sandwiches and our server graciously offered to bring me some more chicken without nuts. They must have been making the sandwiches when ordered as they all tasted like they were just made, I also had scones and a lovely cream cake with fresh strawberries. My friends had the meat pie with mashed potato, peas and gravy, lovely vegetable quiche and a big serving of a tuna cream dish served over a pastry case. Everything was really lovely and well worth the usual prices on the menu. All was served on the beautiful and silver flatware so there were no short cuts but they were very busy. All our food had been served within 30 minutes of us arriving and we stayed until 4pm when we had to pick up kids. We started talking to the table next to us and they said they had been there lingering for 3 hours and felt guilty they had taken up the table for so long but enjoyed the atmosphere and hadn’t been asked to leave so they stayed, I think this type of thing may have caused a problem as when we were leaving 2 parties were waiting to be seated and the waitress told them they were waiting for tables to leave who had been there for quite a few hours. All in all we had a lovely afternoon and say bravo for offering such a splendid menu for an unbelievable price on a special day 11/11/11!

The second event was the Holiday Tea tasting the following day at 11am, it was a great day for Tea Tasting as it was raining! The event was booked out and we met some delightful ladies who go to the Cottage events regularly and could not speak highly enough of this quaint place. We tasted 5 teas starting with the Chestnut, my favorite of the whole day! Jen hosted the tasting and was gracious, entertaining and amusing. They offered a 2 course lunch, platter of tea sandwiches vegetarian quiche or Meat pie with a nice salad all followed by baskets of scones. Once again the food was very fresh and plentiful. I ordered the quiche this time and had to take one of my scones home as I couldn’t eat all the food, my friend Susan had the tea sandwiches as she had never been to the High Tea Cottage before and she absolutely loved them. The scones were straight from the oven, hot and very tasty. The Holiday teas were really lovely, we could drink as much as we wanted and then they were offered for sale at a 40% discount. We were told how to make mulled wine out of the Christmas Teas and even given a small taste, an absolute winner for my next Holiday Party. Price was $20 and another event we thoroughly enjoyed. The service was good and we had plenty of piping hot teas!

Our third day, Sunday, was the Fall Family and Friends Tea with a classical guitarist, who played every request my husband made. It was just the 2 of us and we made reservations for 2pm when the guitarist commenced. Once again our table was elegantly set with lovely china and fresh roses. This was a 4 course Tea with the commencement of soup or salad followed by the tier of sandwiches, 2 different flavored scones and desserts. I had the salad, same as my friend had on Friday, very fresh, lovely combo of fresh fruits and a nice champagne dressing served on the side. Hugh had the soup, chicken vegetable and said he wanted more it was so good. The tea sandwiches were again very fresh, lots of flavor and this time I remembered the no nuts. We had 8 sandwiches in all each so there was plenty of food. The scones were once again hot, lemon with apricots and cranberry with raisins, Hugh loved the clotted cream and they brought more without hesitation when he asked. We had different desserts, mine was a lemon tart with cream and fresh strawberries and my husband a a large slice of a lovely chocolate mousse cake which he said was amazing, so much food neither of us could finish all so we took home a box of leftovers for our son who ate them later and stated how yummy they were. For $25 per person this was a most lovely afternoon spent in a delightful Cottage, I did notice the tables were the same as when we have been there before, they don’t bring in extra tables for their events, so we were not sitting on top of other guests as happens in other Tea rooms.

Sorry I have written so much but I want readers to have a true perspective of this place. All in all I can not say enough about the High Tea Cottage, every time we have gone the staff have been attentive and friendly. Jen the owner has always been lovely even when she was going through Chemotherapy a while back she would be very tired sometimes aloof , which is understandable with her 3rd time with cancer, but still gracious and still working with a positive attitude and her staff absolutely adore her, they have told us this!. I noticed some guests can be very difficult, they have no manners, don’t know the protocols of Tea, are extremely rude, we watched one person put their chewing gum under the table cloth!!! Can you believe that?

This place is very much like what you would experience if you are to enjoy Tea in London or the country side at formal Tea Rooms in England, well worth a visit. Make reservations though and get on their mailing list as they have events that are not advertised and they book out very quickly.

I am a return guest to this charming tea house that is a 'hop, skip and a jump' from my home. I have invited several friends and family members here for a girls day out or for a special occasion. Everyone is so overwhelmed by the tea cottage. Examples of comments have been 'what a little gem' - 'how did you find this beautiful tea house?' - loved 'Valentine's Day here' - loved 'holiday season' tea here. It's just so wonderful. The food is so authentic and beautifully presented. Jenn and Ken are gems themselves. Everyone always takes home a small bag of their most favorite tea! Can't wait to go back. Thank you Jenn and Kenn for your hospitality as well as all of your darling servers!

Who would have thought this little jewel was tucked away in Woodland Hills? Having lived in England for many years, I found the atmosphere at the Hight Tea Cottage tradtional and absolutely beautiful. From the fine china to the fresh roses on the table, the experience was lovely. The service was impeccable, the tea selection awe inspiring and our scones were served piping hot from the oven. The high tea was traditional from the finger sandwiches(faves were the curried egg and of course the cucumber) to the scones to the sweets. A little gift to the birthday girl was a sweet surprise - definitely A+++++.

My girlfriend and I went to this charming cottage to have 'afternoon tea' for my birthday and we absolutely loved everything...the decor, the service, and especially the food! I am originally from Great Britain so I do know something about dainty tea sandwiches, scones, and English-style desserts. Everything was just so fresh and delicious and, of course, the teas we chose were amazing. We are definitely going back sometime soon.

We just popped in for a pot of tea and scones and were wonderfully surprised, by the old world charm of the “High Tea Cottage.” Each table is set with beautiful china, coordinating cloth napkins, and fresh roses. With our server Brittany’s, well-informed help, we chose a Rooibos Tea, a naturally caffeine-free and mineral-rich herb. The fragrance was chocolate and the taste was AMAZING!! Baked to order, the petite scones come to the table hot and served with our choice of fresh made jams and Devonshire cream…SO VERY GOOD! We immediately made a reservation to return with six family members later this month, for the whole high tea experience. I cannot wait. OMG!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!

Great Service, Delicious Scones (like no other I've ever tasted) 'two pinkies up', Desert, Tea. Jen was great, she came to our table and share some great stories with us. Brittany is a very good server and made us feel welcome.

I have arranged for two birthday parties at this quaint cottage in the past few months.We all were very impressed with everything from our first greeting.Jen and Ken were very gracious hosts and made the occasion very special.I look forward to returning soon.

This Tea House is wonderful! We celebrated a birthday with friends and we had such a delightful tea luncheon. Everyone left in high spirits because of the great experience. It was very close to perfect.

This is an exceptional place, we had a party here this past weekend and it was absolutely perfect, we couldn’t find one thing wrong and they even gave a girt to the bride from the staff. The brides comment was, I hope my wedding is as nice! We came for tea a few weeks ago to check it out and just loved what we saw and the food was fresh, tasty and hot fresh scones, they even baked our favorite just for us, raisin and pomegranate oh so good! . They have lots of loose leaf teas served from a cart, the salads are outstanding, presented like a picture, and we absolutely loved it. We could not have had a more perfect visit each time we went and the owners are absolute gems as are the rest of the staff. What a treat, we are looking forward to seeing their holiday events.

I have attended 3 Showers here in the last 3 months and they are the best Teas I have ever been to or experienced! The pace is perfect, we have never been rushed and the staff and owners are extremely friendly and make you feel very welcome. The food is presented with fresh roses on a 3 tier with freshly made sandwiches, petite and flavorful and our scones, OMG!!!! came straight from the oven each time. We had different flavors from chocolate to lemon, apricot and cherry and raisin with cranberry, all were yummoh! It's like dining in
a private home. The china is exquisive, the floral arrangements have been very pretty and we love the antique umrbella and also the personalized sign at the front door to welcome the guest. It is very easy to see why the High Tea Cottage wins all the awards in the State of California and city of LA. Well done ladies, YOU DESERVE IT, we look forward to coming to tea agin really soon.

I am shocked at all the positive reviews of this place. The owner is INCREDIBLY rude. I had my birthday here, and all of my guests commented on how rude the owner was to us. We felt very unwelcome. She was rushing us, even though the place was practically empty. The food is seriously overpriced too. There's not much food for how much you're paying. The scones were especially bad - they have raisins in them! Yuck! I was just shocked at how rude the owner was. I will never return.

I hosted a Shower here a few weeks ago and everything was absolutely fantastic, all my guests sent me thank you notes and most have been back since. The private Salon where we had our guests come to is just exquisite, a lovely pale green and Jen had the tables set with our color choices, fresh roses and beautiful china, They also had a table with a floral arrangement and an elegant antique lace umbrella representing the shower theme, just magical. The food was served with fresh flowers as well and was fresh and very tasty. The teas flowed constantly and Jen and Sam really made us feel welcome and took care of us. We felt like we were in their home and with old friends. I highly recommend the High Tea Cottage for Bridal Showers, our was just perfect!

A lovely place to go with family and girlfriends, they bring the tea by cart so you can choose table side, we had so much fun smelling, the scones also came tableside. The food is fresh and tasted as good as it looked, even have a Vegan selection which is both unusual and amazing and the serve gluten free scones and desserts if required. After seeing this Teahouse featured on TV last week, we decided to give it a try. We regularly go to Teahouses listed here on Teamap just had not made it to this one. With the pending 'Carmageddon' on the 405 this coming weekend we thought we would drive up on Monday, even though we had no reservations. We were met at the door by Jenn (we recognized her from the TV ) she asked what name our reservation was under and when we told her we didn’t have one she said, wait a minute and I’ll check for availability. she apologized that they had no space available, but if we didn’t mid waiting there should be a table available with 20 minutes. Firstly, the table was set with white linen cloth (no glass on top!) and starched linen napkins, there were fresh roses on the table, all our china was Royal Albert, I think the pattern was called Celebration, lump sugar and sweetener all in matching china to the teacups.

The older man, Ken came with a Tea Cart with over 100 loose leaf teas. We smelled to our hearts content and finally made selection. I decided to go with 1 of the 3 premium teas and he explained there was an extra $5.00 charge due to this tea retailing for over $300 a pound, i didn’t mind as he said the tea pots were bottomless. Jen took our food orders, I decided to have just scones, my sister and friends choose the Royal, Traditional and the Lady Hamilton with chicken salad. My sisters china was changed to the most elegant beautiful china I have ever seen because she was having the Royal High Tea, served on a better china. When the food started to arrive about 15 minutes later we were all amazed at the presentation. Every plate had fresh roses as decoration with the exception of the Royal which had 2 magnificent Cymbidium orchids with fresh rosemary. The chicken salad was beautiful. Fresh strawberries, pineapple, mango, kiwi fruit, orange, beets and the chicken breast served with walnuts and cranberry, we all tasted, we all raved! Then the scones arrived served from a cart with no less than 5 jams, can’t remember them all but I had the fig lime curd and they were delicious. The scones were very hot and the best I have ever tasted at a commercial Teahouse. The desserts served to the rest of our party were just as thrilling, as I didn’t order them I can not personally comment on flavor but everyone said the flavors were tantalizing and fresh. I did try the tea sandwiches my friend ordered and they also were fresh and very tasty, certainly not bland or ordinary. I could go on and on but I think you get the idea that we were more than satisfied and pleased with the service, quality of food and surroundings, we stayed for nearly 4 hours, they even gave my girlfriend a beautiful birthday gift as it is her birthday later this week. We had a most enjoyable experience that we talked about all the way home and planned our next visit. It was a lovely afternoon from the moment we arrived until we left.

My final comment is reflected to Maria below. I didn’t mind in the least paying an extra $5 for the premium tea, I drank 3 pots of it at the place and then they filled my thermos for our return journey home. Even at Starbucks you pay more for premium teas and coffee and if you want an extra cup, not pot, you have to pay for that too, businesses are in business. We all found Jenn to be charming and most accommodating,. Not all Tea establishments suit all people; this one definitely suited us.

Absolutely wonderful. Beautifully presented cuisine, lots of service and a large selection of loose leaf teas. Very friendly attentive staff and helped us with diet restrictions. Tea sandwiches actually have very tasty fillings. This is authenticity of English High Tea at its finest.

Hello, I went to the High Tea Cottage on Friday with my girlfriend not realizing they were being televised by Fox news. Although we had to be careful with wires and lights around the place Jen and her staff accommodated us and provided their usual excellent service, tea and food.

We have been coming to the High Tea Cottage for about the last 3 years and have been amazed at how Jen always seems to manage to raise the bar when it comes to the quality of the food and the taste of the teas. I find the whole Cottage so cool that I must be the best unpaid PR rep they have got. FANTASTIC! Well worth a visit and the staff and owners are very accommodating with the menu and tea choices.

Wow! We were there yesterday with all the cameras. OMG!!! Scones to die for and everything was presented so well. Jen your a natural!

Delighted to see the High Tea Cottage featured all over the morning news yesterday for the visit of the Royals, William and Kate. I am sure they will find it as fabulous as we all do. This is the finest and best Teahouse in all of Los Angeles.

I cannot say enough about this Tearoom, everything they offer is just wonderful. Terrific service, lovely ambiance and most beautiful china. It really is the best in all of California.

First off- terrible service! I felt ignored and the owner was less than friendly. I will say, the food selection is extensive but the quality is poor. I was not a fan of the sandwiches offered or the idea of having to stick to the one tea I ordered. Plus- a $5 fee for choosing a better tea is just ridiculous! I will not be returning or suggesting this place to anyone!

Wonderful experience from the moment we arrived until we left 4 hours later, the time just flew by, it was as if we were in another country and time, sheer elegance and superbly executed from the first magical morsel of food to the last sip of ever piping bottomless pot of tea. Absolutely the best High Tea experience ever and we have “Tea’d” all over the globe!

I have just returned from the most wonderful lunch ever. The freshest, crisp salad ever eaten and the tastiest little tea sandwiches I've ever tasted at a tea place all served on the most beautiful Royal Albert china. A coworker told us we simply must go and we are all so pleased we did. A new spot to indulge your passions of Tea. Try the Belgium Chocolate Tea iced, we did and absolutely loved it, even took some back to the office.

Simply fantastic, a very relaxing place with super friendly service, huge selection of teas, scones straight from the oven, best salad I've ever had with fresh fruits and huge servings. Fab place to relax and enjoy the company of friends. My favorite Tea House in all of Los Angeles but make reservations they get booked out!

They take such great care of us each time we go. They even are sweet and generous with my son.

Had a great lunch here last Friday, sneaking out again today to have more of those wonderful tea sandwiches and chestnut tea, was introduced to the cottage through my cousin's bridal shower and been going back again and again. Really do love it here the owner Jenn is an amazing lady, they are obliging on the menu as well for dislikes too, always offer substitutions, the chicken salad is amazing! Highly recommend!!!

Very accommodating Tea Room!! A great place to spend a relaxing afternoon with girlfriends away from the hustle and bustle of a busy schedule. The food presentation is amazing, we love the salads here, so fresh and lots of tropical fruits as well. We keep returning.

Loved our visit here, just like back home in London, the staff, ambiance and food were amazing, they have a tea cart where you actually get to smell the teas and a preserve cart where you choose your jams from over 5 different flavors and the scones were straight from the oven, just like Grans. Definitely our cup of tea!

I attended a Bridal Shower Event here last weekend. From the moment of stepping in the door to stepping off the last step, everything was simply perfect. I loved the Buckingham Palace Tea and the curried egg tea sandwiches, fresh and not to spicy. A perfect afternoon.

Best place for a Shower or party. My baby shower was here and it was wonderful. The private Salon is elegant, the tables looked magnificent when we arrived they had vases of fresh roses on all the tables including the gift table, the food was scrumptious, even the sandwiches were decorated with fresh flowers. They did a color scheme to match our theme and the customer service was exceptional. I even received a lovely gift from the owners, thanks. We will be going back for more.

I wanted to take my husband somewhere special for Father's Day and gave him a choice, 'Tea' he said, 'The High Tea Cottage in LA' We live in San Diego and he could have chosen somewhere local but wanted to go here. Just fabulous, our Mom's 75th birthday was celebrated with style. The food was fresh, presented with fresh roses that matched the beautiful floral arrangements throughout the Cottage. I just LOVE this place, Jenn is the most gracious of hostess besides being a wonderful, loving individual and her staff are also exceptional. What ever combination of tea sandwiches you wish for she will accommodate without and fuss or bother, if you don’t like or are allergic to something, no problem they ask you this when your order is taken. They always offer substitution on sandwiches, and they always offer exactly what their website represents.

Their Tea selection is beyond belief with a cart where you may smell every one and there are over 100. Shame on you Katherine to think you can take 2 6 year old children for the Tea Experience and not expect to pay. My grand children ranging from 4 to 11 years, love the... Fabulous! Had a Baby Shower here 2 weeks ago and everything was absolutely perfect! All of our guests are going back for tea. Only disappointment was the owner Jenn was rushed to hospital for an emergency operation, she was missed and we wish her well, but her staff were fantastic in her absence. We recommend the Cottage for any occasion as it and the staff are simply THE BEST.

Best Tea House in the west, my husband and I are both vegetarians and they accommodate us with yummy sandwiches choices every time, I often just go for a full plate of cucumber so delicious! Our favorite teas are the Chestnut and the Marzipan. Always great friendly service, oodles of food for the price, we never leave hungry.

Enjoyed a wonderful Saturday afternoon at this delightful gem. Very fresh petite sandwiches and they even made vegetarian and vegan gluten free for us. The server Sam was delightful and we loved the freshly baked scones, the tea cart and the jam presentation were both wonderful, we have never experienced this anywhere before. Thank you for a lovely experience, we felt like we were in a friends home.

I have be bringing guests to the High Tea Cottage since they opened and have never had a bad experience there. The cuisine and service just gets better and better and all my family and friends who have been all agree. The owners, Jenn and Ken are wonderful, very accommodating with diet restrictions and extremely generous portions. This is the only Tea House I know of (we have been to most in Southern Cal) where your food is customized to your likes and dislikes with no extra charges. One doesn't just choose a tea but you have the opportunity to smell over 100 if you wish to make your choice and there is no rush to vacate the table after 2 hours, we have enjoyed the ambiance sometimes for over 4 hours with piping hot poured tea always forth coming.

My grand daughter Emma has been coming her for a few years now and at 10 years of age she doesn't believe in fairies, Emma is always delighted when the staff take her fairy hunting in the back garden and then totally perplexed when she returns to our table and all the other dining guests tell her she just missed the tea fairy and finds a delightful piece of jewelry as a gift from the fairy. She also loves the wonderful tea sandwiches and that is quite an accomplishment for a burger lover!

Jenn and Ken are the most charming of hosts, their kindness and sincerity to guests is unsurpressed, don't believe the review below, this is an establishment worth every cent and your time in having a special experience.

Beware of the owner, she is MEAN and CRAZY!!! Although i cannot complaint about the tea or the sandwiches as they were GREAT, the owner sure has a problem. :( Come at your own risk!

I went to the High Tea Cottage in March with a friend I hadn't seen in many years. We both loved it. The tea was good, the food tasted delicious, and it was a nice little tea house.

Now, a few months later, I wanted to return with my mom and 3 young nieces (9 and 6 years old). Unfortunately they are unwilling to be accommodating to our needs. While I understand that there must be a splitting charge and the like, being unwilling to change the type of sandwiches given seems unnecessary. Are they really loosing money by giving us apple and cheese and cucumber sandwiches over egg and chicken ones?

This is especially true when their prices are so high! Paying $18 for a 'fairy' to come is a bit ridiculous if the children are not going to drink the drinks they offer and only wan... (more)t a piece of cake and enjoy the atmosphere.

They also seem to not adhere to their on-line menu, so I'd recommend asking before going if there is something from the menu you are interested in.

Unfortunately for us, we won't be returning to this location and we'll stick to others that are more family friendly.

Best Mother's Day Tea ever. We used to go to another tea place in the valley but it closed so this year to keep up our tradition we went here. Really was amazing and so much better than we expected. This is the best Tea House in all of southern California. Scrumptious spread of food presented with fresh roses and very tasty. Loved the beautiful jewelry presented at the end by the charming owner.

Just loved the Mother's Day High Tea this past Sunday, it started off with the most delightful appetizer plate served to as we sat with with a flute of sparkling cider, then came a most exquisitive salad like I have never had before. The Tier of tea sandwiches, scones and desserts came next all presented with fresh red roses. Absolutely wonferful and topped off with endless pots of different flavor teas and a beautiful jewelry for both moms at out table. Well done High Tea Cottage!

Beautiful setting and tea presentation. My only complaint is that I've yet to taste the curried egg salad. The egg salad is spread very thin so all that you taste is the bread and cream. When I taste the curried egg, I'll give High Tea Cottage 'five'stars.

Exceptional! The Royal High Tea served for the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate. I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with close friends watching the wedding, everything was exceptional as the below review also says. Our afternoon was not even dampened by the three rude ladies who managed to insult all the other patrons also enjoying the afternoon. Jen we loved your outfit and the hat, you looked like you just came from Westminister Abbey yourself. Another lovely afternoon spent at the best Tea House in California, this was a delightful afternoon spent together, with tasty morsels, beautifully presented and served as usual.

The presentation is always magnificent here but today's tier had 3 beautiful red roses displayed within the 3 levels. Such a quaint and beautiful place! One of the few places I have been where they roll a cart to you and personalize your order, even flavor of jam! A wonderful experience and a must if you enjoy tea!!

The food and tea here is exceptional. Unfortunately both times I have been here, the service has been less than pleasant.
I was made to feel unwelcome once because I didn't make reservations and I felt uncomfortable the entire time due to the grim face on my server. The 2nd time the serving person made both of us uncomfortable by telling us we were eating and drinking too fast.
This place has a lot of potential for wonderful experiences. I know that this is a HIGH tea experience, but need it be so stuffy?

We just had the most wonderful experience here at the High Tea Cottage, the service is friendly, knowledgable and lots of it. They have a teacart where you are able to smell the teas then make your choice and the pot is constantly filled and hot. The menu covers all dietary requirements even for my picky vegan daughter. Everything was presented with freh flowers, roses and orchids. The tea sandwiches fresh and tasty, the scones straight from the oven with a jam cart to boot! We had a chocie of 5 jams to pick from and not the ordinary ones either, we loved the house apricot ginger and lime curd. The desserts were cold, tantilizing and once again the presentation was magnificent. WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE, best Tea we have ever been to and we go to the Ritz Carlton a lot, from now on we go to The High Tea Cottage, it is well worth the extra 1/2 hour drive. Bravo!!

I just adore High Tea Cottage for a relaxing tea experience. I've been a number of times and they are very consistent with their excellent service and quality. I recently took a friend here for her visit for her birthday and we had a charming time. Thank you for keeping it going!!!!

High Tea Cottage is a great place to take children ages about 8 or so to attend an authentic English Tea and to exercise their imaginations for a wonderful experience. Adults will also enjoy the ambiance and fabulous tea and food.

We went to the High Tea Cottage for our 40th wedding anniversay (George propsed to me in a English tea room). From the moment we saw a welcome sign for us we were not disappointed. The aroma of fresh baked scones, the teacart with over 100 teas on it for us to sample, the freshly made sandwiches, the scone cart and the overall atmosphere of the place made it a very special event for us. We both decide we will be going back again soon.

Outstanding! Brautiful presentation of tasty fare served by silver service with fresh orchids adorning each plate. Scones OMG! absolutely the best ever and a huge selcetion f teas presented from a cart. Exquisive china collection, most impresive I have everseen in a tea shop. Jenn even presented by daughter with a birthday gift as we were celebrating her birthday, a first class afternoon and extremely reasonable for the amount of fare served. Beautiful afternoon spent here, the whole experience was fantastic. We especially were surprised by and enjoyed the tea cart where you are able to smell your teas and get a choice from over 100, no other tea house does this that we have found. The menu was extensive and an absolute abundance of the freshest food ever enjoyed at a tea house. We took doggybags! Equal to the finest hotels in New York and London and the most magnificent china was served with the Royal High Tea. I am still craving the scones that came straight from the oven and the lime curd served to us from a preserve cart. Absolute the finest tea we have had and we go to many up and down the state of California on our travels. Wait with anticipation to enjoy the tea in celebration of the upcoming Royal Wedding!

I took my husband for the Valentines Tea and we both enjoyed it tremendously. A romantic table for 2 in the corner with lots of special attention during tea including a long stem rose for me. The food was great and the 'Valentine' flavored tea was wonderful with hints of chocolate. My 1st choice for tea for any occasion.

The High Tea Cottage is as good as the other positive reviews say it is. very highly recommended.

Great selection of teas over 100, love the flavored Rooibos and white teas, the scones are the best ever, always hot from the oven, very elegant, friendly and fabulously tasty foods with everything made to order. Just love this gem right in Woodland Hills

What a wonderful surprise this Tea house was to my wife and myself. A friend recommended the establishment for something different to do on a Sunday afternoon, it certinally was different to what we thought and excelled way beyond our expectations. From the classical guitarist who was exceptional to the abundance of fine fare, outstanding service and kindness of our hostess this was a recommendation I am passing on to friend after friend. Absolutely a wonderful passtime for a Sunday afternoon. We really enjoyed the Valentine Tea and Chestnut teas, even took some home. We will be back again. Thank you so very much!
