I suprized my girl friend by bringing her to High Tea at the Holiday Chalet and was thrilled with the service; food; and ambiance of the old Victorian Building. We also had a tour of the hotel which was a treat!

I felt the Tea here was overpriced for the service and selection. It was very dissappointing when I was told the choice of teas were caffinated or decaf and then when I asked for more cream - the JAR of CREAM was brought to the table. (It is a tradition at the Brown Palace to use the cream for one's cup of tea, too...) The atmosphere was lovely, this building is rich with history and it was wonderful to have the tea room all to ourselves. I would recommend this this venue for a private/group afternoon tea if the service was of a higher calibre.

My sisters and I celebrated a birthday here in May, 2006, and had a lovely time. The food was excellent; they served variations on tea sandwiches that I haven't had below. Indeed, the quality of all of the sweet and savory items was very impressive and certainly competitive with tea served at Victoria's Empress Hotel and Denver's Brown Palace Hotel. Highly recommended and I definitely plan on returning. An excellent value!

What a lovely spot for tea. The ambience is wonderful, the service was excellent. I thought that savory choices were the best I have had.

Our hostess was delightful. The room was pretty and the tea service unique. The only downside is parking is tight and the area of town is questionable after dark.

I attended this Tea room this past summer with my friend and our daughters. Although it is a quaint place, the high tea was very expensive for what you get. Dessert was disappointing, 3 heart shaped pastries which tasted like bread and about the size of a quarter with lemon curd. Also, the day we attended was the 'All Things Victorial Presentation' which simply consisted of one of the owners dressing up in a period piece to read a an entire booklet which took about 20 minutes. I would not recommend this place

What a charming place! The sandwiches and dessert served during high tea had amazing flavor and presentation. The staff was very courteous and attentive. A 'must do' for high tea lovers!
