This could very well be America's finest Tea room! Everything is spectacular! The 50 acre property and it's gardens are beautiful as is the mansion where the tea is served. It was built in 1819 and is elegant in every detail. There are 110 all loose leaf teas to choose from and all are perfectly brewed! Tea is served on a three tiered tray. You get two scones, one sweet, one savory. You get to choose 4 sandwiches from a selection of 9. The 4 desserts were like those you can find in Paris: a french macaroon, petite four, praline cheese cake, and a decorated tea cake cookie. The mansion is spectacular and the staff are professional tea stewarts and offer excellent customer service. A must for tea fans!

A beautiful afternoon tea for true fans. Everything was attractive on a three-tiered stand and tasted delicious. The server was helpful and pleasant. I love indulging in a lovely afternoon tea, and I will definitely be back to Homestead Manor Plantation.

Easy to miss, but as you turn in be prepared to be impressed as Homestead Manor come into view. Parking is in the back, which requires a walk around to the front on gravel path, so watch your high heels. Attire was every thing from ladies in hats & flowing dresses, to neat jeans & heels. No worries about fitting in here, the vibe is welcoming, friendly & calm. Likes: The house is beautiful. I found the staff ultra friendly but not overly comfortable with questions relating to the menu. The selection of teas is almost overwhelming, probably the nicest selection I've every seen. The desserts are very very good. I bought a pistachio macaroon on my way out (for an later snack) & it was as good as any I've had in Paris.I ate from the lunch menu & did tea on separate visits. Food from the lunch... (more)

I'm here from California visiting my sister in Nashville. We love the entire 'afternoon tea' experience. We were definitely NOT disappointed. We found the server very knowledgeable about the selection of teas available. She was very willing to help us make our selections. We especially liked the Creme Brulee and Indian Chai. We loved the fact we could try as many as we wanted. All the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The portions were more than adequate - in fact we took home leftovers! We loved the variety of both the sandwiches and deserts. If that wasn't enough, this tea room is located in a lovely historical homestead manor built in the early 1800's. It feels like you've stepped back in time with the expansive lawn and gardens surrounding the house. And it's only 45 minutes from downtown Nashville. What a treat!

Had reservations for party of 10 for 3 weeks-day before arrival was called and told (not in a plesant professional way) had to choose two items off menu to choose from(for 10 people) and charge card number to hold room party decided this was not a place to take our time and money

Visiting Homestead Manor takes away the busy world and seats you in a fine, historic home....followed by excellent service, a lovely menu, tea choices that make selection very difficult and food that is prepared and served beautifully. I have been there three times now and will host a birthday event there in the near future. I have had a positive experience all three times and am delighted we have this beautiful place in our midst. Take a deep breath and enjoy the trip....Middle Tennessee at it's very best!

What a waste of a beautiful 200 year old house. The only thing this place has going for it is the appearance. When you walk you are greated by the only person doing their job well. Once seated you will be in for disappointment after disappointment. The inside of the house has the faint smell of a busted sewage pipe, the servers dont know what they are doing and they like to describe the items on the menu in a way that makes no sense to make you think they know what they are talking about. The food is absolutly horrible. There is no flavor in anything and everything on the menu taste like somethign you could pick up in the frozen section at your local grocery store. I read that the chef was a La Cordon Bleu graduate but i am willing to bet that is comepletly untrue. You would be better off ... (more)

I've been to Homestead twice in the past couple of weeks, and I have to say - what a breath of fresh air! Middle TN has been without a good tearoom for too long with all the recent closings. Homestead will NOT disappoint. The service was great, and very helpful. Both times, my parties stayed past closing time - and both times the staff was very considerate. There was no rushing us out the door! Such a memorable and relaxing experience with my friends. Just what afternoon tea should be! I look forward to many more visits in the coming year to Homestead, and many more cups of Hazelnut Brittle!

Over 90 varities of loose leaf tea. Spice or fruit tea flavors were light and complimented the Hot Brown or salad of fresh strawberries, mixed greens with pecans or scoop of chicken or pimento cheese salad. Chocolate bread pudding with peanut brittle is rich but not overwhelming works well with a cup of Eros tea. Afternoon tea is accompanied with a selection from 10 varieties of sandwiches or sweet and savory scones. The natural lighting and views from large windows and the attentive servers make for a relaxed setting seated at round or square tables making sharing memories and viewpoints easy or comparing the different pretty porcelain tea cup sets you are sipping tea with one another. Truly a welcoming place with open, airy space and views, warm service and deliciously prepared Southern sustenance and many tea types to satisfy all fans or connoisseur including the ultimate southern refreshment iced tea.

The ambiance is fabulous! The beautifully-restored 1800s plantation is the perfect setting to enjoy afternoon tea! The tea was superb and the food is delicious. Definitely recommend.
