Variety: It is always a joy to meet my friends for lunch or special occasions at the House of Windsor. The food is good, the service is excellent and the friendly staff is always willing to take our picture and provide a little something extra as we request. |

Variety: As an English visitor to Denver, i was pleasantly surprised to find an authentic English tea shop. The food was terrific, the staff were friendly especially with my two children who had never had tea served in china tea cups before. We particularly enjoyed being served by a 100% english waitress, nothing was too much trouble. Can't wait to visit again on our next holiday to Denver. |

Variety: I have been here for tea several times and find it to be warm and pleasent. The staff are friendly and attentive. The menu is small but that in my opinion guarantees freshness and good taste. Excellant spot for an afternoon pick me up. |

Variety: My wife and I have been visiting every Saturday for awhile now. The food is excellent-- We usually enjoy a pot of PG Tips, and I suggest the quiche and some scones with Devonshire Cream and jam. The staff is warm and genuine. The shop is well-stocked with imported goods, and I've seen more than one homesick Brit shed tears of joy while browsing. Reservations are a smart move. Also, the owners are very good at scheduling special events, which create a real sense of community among the patrons. The pictures of the establishment describe the atmosphere better than my own words can. Highly recommended. |

Variety: Hi my name is Damaris.I have eaten at The House of Winsor many times and the food is always fresh, very good, and the staff are sweet and friendly.I was reviewing some of the tea rooms that I had gone to in the past and I had read the lie that someone wrote about The House of Winsor.I don't know why someone would lie about them like that; it is so obvious that the person who wrote this did not know how wounderful their food is; everyone should go and try it for them selves even the liar that wrote the lie about The House of Winsor. ^_^ |

Variety: As a devoted anglophile this is as close as I can get to the UK in Denver! I've been coming here for 20+ years now and am devoted to it. From the fine- fine tea, to the Branston pickle on my ham sandwich, to the Bird's custard mix! It is a delightful treat. |

Variety: Mother and I have been coming to the House of Windsor for tea on a monthly basis after her doctor visits for 3 years or more. She has been attending for years before that. Since the new ownership has taken over for the last year plus, the food has improved as has the service. The atmosphere is also much more pleasant. We love coming and having time together. |

Variety: The House of Windosr is just charming. There is wonderful service, excellent food, and an atmosphere that can't be outdone. The restaurant staff is amazing and will do anything to make your dining experience relaxed and fun too. I am sorry that someone had a bad experience, but I drive across town to eat here. I highly recommend the House of Windsor to anyone who would like an authentic British meal. The evening activites are just an added bonus! Love the game night. |

Variety: If the food at House of Windsor is cooked out back at the dumpster, then I need to cook my family’s meals there too. Maybe it is the secret to why, no matter how much I try, I can’t get my British dishes to taste as good as theirs. Dona – tell us; is that the magic ingredient “dumpster proximity”? I agree with Eve, wonderful experience, great food, caring wait staff, pleasant atmosphere, laid back place, affordable, and the Meal and a Movie is a Hoot!. I want to try Game Night too! |

Variety: I have read the reviews All I can say is the people who placed poor items on this site must either be in competition with the House of Windsor and Know they are losing Or so used to fast foods they dont know good food when they taste it. One of the only reasons I ever drive down to that part of lakewood is to go eat at a really great place that serves food with a smile and a LOT of grace. The staff are More then A+. They bring a smile to the custoners face as well as plates of good food. The Resturant is always clean its beautifully decorated inside. If this place was as bad as the poor reviews claimed. It would have closed years ago. This place is one to go to. Enjoy a Lunch or attend one of the special nights, Game or movie night. I think you will be hard to find a place for better value. So if you want to eat good food and have pleasant company Then the House of Windsor is for you. |

Variety: I have been visiting the House of Windsor now for over 20 years, they always seem to be able to maintain a high quality, the staff are always friendly and willing to talk and one can sit over tea and scones and not be hurried. There is always a good variety of lunches and Warren Berg the food critic gave it a very high rating. I always recommend the House of Windsor to my friends. May it long remain open. |

Variety: I noticed some items by the trash behind the House of Windsor in the alley area. I stopped to see what was be thrown away only to find they where cooking food. It wasn't trash but going to be someone's lunch. The pot of food was unattended, in the alley area, near the dumpsters. When I stopped the birds scattered so they are not in the picture above. No wonder why the previous poster got sick off the food. I have eaten the food from the House of Windsor but never again. |

Variety: We went on a friend's recommendation for lunch and tea. I wanted to comment because the food was so especially good. The main courses and the home-made desserts, all excellent. We shared three different desserts and loved them all. But most of all...my main course...Cornish Pasty...was extraordinary. I have a great-grandfather who came from Cornwall and my relatives all make pasties to this day, and the House of Windsor offering was as good as my family's. Perfect. Authentic. Delicious!! And the service was wonderful, too. Just the right attentiveness and much good cheer. |

Variety: The House of Windsor is a family favorite. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, wonderful filling food and endless pots of tea. It is a great place to take visiting family and friends and the staff never mind that you stay and reminisce. It may be small but it makes up for it in it's warm and homey feeling. It has a great selection of tea cups and pots and other gifts for sale and the selection of treats and goodies for sale is wonderful. I know where I'm going to do some of my Christmas shopping. I highly recommend it and so would my 4 year old. |

Variety: The House of Windsor is a wonderful place for lunch or just a pot of tea and dessert. The food is authentic, filling and under priced. The store is clean, appealing, interesting and alive. Bottomless tea comes in cozy wrapped tea pots and everyone makes sure you are full and happy. Stop in, just walk through the door and see for yourself. |

Variety: Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Food was very tasty, and well prepared. My only significant complaint came from some aspects of the service. First, in order to have the high tea, you need a reservation. I called and made one for 3 people. When we got there, they only had it down for 2. That's OK, sometimes mistakes get made, and they asked for about 5-10 minutes to make up the extra serving. But as we were finishing, the server came up to us and asked if we had made reservations. I told them we had, but she went on to tell us that we hadn't reserved for 'high tea', just a regular reservation. Then she proceeded to lecture us that in the future, we absolutely needed reservations. She was borderline rude, but I did explain to her that I had made the reservations properly, bu... (more) |

Variety: The house of Windsor can not be beaten for the quality of the food served or the excellent service of all the people who work there From the owner Donna to the wait staff to the Kitchen staff. The food is excellent. The Meal and a Movie night is where you all get together and enjoy a nice night out. Your teapot is never empty the wait staff are fun to be around, its such a friendly place. Its nice to sit down and have a GOOD cup of tea and have Good food and be served by staff that have smiles on their faces and are not chewing gum. This place has class. With a Capital C. |

Variety: We had a surprise bridal shower tea here and it was wonderful. The staff was great and went out of their way to make it special for the bride-to-be. The food was good and the atmosphere was just right (not too busy and not too cozy). I would highly recommend the House of Windsor! |
