Tea is weak and stingy. Food is high carb. Soup is salty and made elsewhere. scones are not thawed properly. Deserts are good. Tea shop was up for sale, but it couldn't be sold so tea shop continued. For sale stuff is nice although expensive. Nice tea room, but food very dissapointing.

My teacher friends group has been meeting about once a month (during the school year) at the HoW for about 2 years now. While it's true that the shop isn't fancy, it is cozy and a fair price for a good lunch. The staff never seems to mind as we linger over our lunch catching up. I pass up the chance to spend a rainy or snowy Saturday afternoon at HoW.

I have only recently started dining at this tearoom, but I love it. It's quiet, friendly atmosphere makes a perfect place to meet a girlfriend for tea. There are many sweet gifts available and the prices are very reasonable.
