What a lovely spot to spend an afternoon! They have a great selection and a relaxing, quiet space that's perfect for reading, studying, or catching up with a friend. The teas I tried there were really nice.

The owners' knowledge of teas is exhaustive, a knowledge they're happy to share to help customers find the right tea for their tastes out of the vast selection. Along with traditional greens, blacks, and oolongs are a wide variety of herbals as well as bubble and jelly options. Both local and authentic imported snacks and sandwiches are available to accompany your tea. The decor is warm and contemporary, with shelving full of tea pots from around the world separating the service counter from the regular seating area. As an extra-special bonus, there are a pair of tables in an area covered with tatami mats--the only one I know of in a tea shop in Minnesota. Periodically, they offer tea classes to teach eager clients the differences in teas, country by country. Overall, a fine establishment with friendly staff that's a delicious delight to visit.

A wonderful tea house in an unlikely location. Nice and relaxing atmosphere, limited but good pastries, and wide selection of teas. You feel like you're on holiday when you sit down either at a table or on the Japanese tatami platform. A must see for tea lovers in the Twin Cities.

Relaxing and tranquil atmosphere, good separation of seating area from retail and counter/ordering area. Wide variety of teas, with the most delicious bubble tea I have ever tasted! I highly recommend the green almond tea iced... It's sublime. My only criticism is that it's a bit out of the way and has relatively no foot traffic, but this also means it's rarely crowded.

      Regarding ordering their tea ONLINE:

I found their website while doing a Google search for Organic Dragonwell Green Tea. I really love the Dragonwell Green Tea from Aroma Tea Shop in San Francisco, but they are way too expensive. So I browsed online, found Indigo Tea Co, and thought I'd try for comparison. The taste is exactly the same as the 3x more expensive tea from Aroma Tea Shop; however, you can visibly see that the quality is also about 3x less than Aroma Tea Shop because there are tons of stems mixed in with the leaves. At Aroma Tea Shop, Premium Dragonwell is about $24 for 4 oz, but it is completely leaves, good quality. At Indigo Tea Co, Organic Dragonwell is about $8 for 4 oz, but is about half stems and half leaves. However, again, it tastes just as good...identical, in fact...so is a wonderful deal for the price!

Found out about this place a few years ago. Try to go every once and a while, the tea selection is the best in the Twin Cities and the staff are super friendly. Why go to a chain when the prices at Indigo are cheaper and the drinks better?

Indigo Tea Co. is a jewel and I'm so jealous that the people of Burnsville have such a great tea shop. The interior is so warm and beautiful, they have a great variety and its accessible from Hwy 13.

A friend introduced me to Indigo a few years ago, and I've visited every few weeks ever since. I've found that it's the perfect place for studying or meeting up with friends. It's the only bubble tea server around, and traditional tea too. A great tea house!

This is our favorite tea shop. The owners are extremely knowledgable and helpful. Atmosphere is special as is their selection of everything from teas to accessories. They always seem to go above and beyond whenever we visit. Food is great, in fact the scones are too good. We want your recipe!

If you haven't been there, you should visit soon! Decor and atmosphere better than Starbuck and Caribous. Great variety of pure tea and delicious mixed beverages. Owners are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and always helpful. Indigo Tea is a rare find and treasure in the suburbs. If you are a tea fan, you won't be disappointed.

By far the best I've found. Neal's passion to share his knowledge is contagious. My recommendation to anyone I send their way is just ask him what he'd recommend on a particular day. You'll learn and really love what is served. Both neal and Annie are among the nicest, most gracious people you'll ever meet!!!

Annie and Neal are the best! The atmosphere, selection, and service are unmatched. They have a tremendous array of teas to drink and to purchase. If you drink 'bubble tea' they consistently have the best 'pearls' I have found anywhere. The scones and other baked goods are always fresh and tasty. Also, they have two tables and tatami mats on an intimate raised section, certainly my favorite place to enjoy a cup. A good eclectic selection of music is always playing at a reasonable volume to top it all off. If you have not been here, I would advise you to go as soon as possible, just leave me a space on the tatami mat.

The selection and quality of the tea is excellent. It is only out done by the passion they have for their product—they just won’t let you drink a bad cup. The décor is warm, relaxing, and on the edge of elegance. Huge front windows provide a plenty of natural light and a pleasant view year round. It is perfect for enjoying a cup or even a pot of tea.

Neal and Annie are just wonderful. Although I live closer to a different tea shop, once I found this one I will never go anywhere else. They are knowledgeable and friendly and willing to go out of their way to help. Thanks!!

Find this little jewel off Highway 13 in Burnsville and enjoy a perfect cup of tea, several choices of scones, quick breads, desserts and a relaxing environment. This is a wonderful Euro-Asian tea shop.

Indigo Tea Co. has successfully established itself with a welcoming, quiant, enveloping cultural atmosphere and experienced, helpful and inviting service. With tea that is high quality, I have yet to be dissapointed (high recommendation to the fresh fruit green tea).
